365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 158

This beauty I found on the property where I live.
It was one of the beauties that survived the storm of the new owners who where up rooting all the beauty.
I just couldn't resist taking a picture of this lovely beauty.
It brings and makes me smile as I stroll through the complex in the early morning sunlight.
CK wasn't so eager to take out time today.
Our strolls are further and further apart and much shorter when we do go on them.
I miss our morning walks and afternoon strolls.

Dancing with joy in the morning light

Can you believe this month is already over with?

Helping Hands

Chivalry

Ideal knight
Bold, gallant, courtesy, valour, dexterity, courage, honor, justice, readiness to help the weak
courtesy behavior towards women
The medieval system principles of  knighthood
Knights, nobleman, etc, collectively

Its not just a word!
"CHIVALRY"
Its not just a word!
It is a live and well TODAY!
It isn't DEAD!
Can you believe it?
So your asking yourselves WHAT?
You mean its not dead?
Really?
What are you talking about?
Surely your mistaken!
How could this be when no man moves unless prodded with the fire poker!
You ask?
I tell you today was an amazing day, where Chivalry truly isn't dead!
All this fussing and moving and the crisis at hand and I was truly blessed!
Yes!
You did hear that right!
Two gals!
Myself and my dear sweet adopted daughter (Kathrine) were struggling away to move my double car garage into a 10 by 10 storage unit today.
Still not complete.
We were wondering how all this was going to happen and take place.
Lord knows we were screaming and hurting in places I know didn't exist or could not possible hurt so much.
But did!
OUCH!
We took three loads to Salvation Army where we experienced our first two gentlemen.
Where they were truly eager to hep us move our belongings.
CHIVALRY!
We must have been quite a site to see.
One young gal and one older woman trying to struggle with these awkward furniture and other donation's.
Two crazy gals struggling to make this like as easy as possible.
HA!{Laughing}
One young man runs up and offers please can we help you with that "Ma'am".
Okay!
Now its official I'm old to boot!
So he came over with his friend and grabbed our heavy furniture that was left in the van to take inside to the donation center.
Then the gentleman inside the Donation center was so excited and kind to us as well.
WOW!
Your thinking whats that about?
That's what I was thinking!
But it gets better.
On trip five to the store room we realize we are in TROUBLE!
Yes!
Big trouble!
The store room isn't going to work that I first chose which was a 71/2 by 10.
So then we went to talk to the rental agents in the office at Public Storage.
Very very nice young ladies.
WOW!
Again!
She immediately went and got her keys to take me to a larger unit.
She got the dolly out and brought it to me as well.
Then went in and did all the new paper work while I moved from that unit to the new chosen one.
This is the next experience with chivalry.
I was moving all those containers, chairs and tables over to the new unit.
There was this gentle giant in his van ready to pull out.
As I was moving my last load over to the new unit when all the chairs and table started shifting and falling off the dolly. He pulled his van over turned it off got out and ran over to help me.
At this point I couldn't believe it. I thought he was only going to help me reload and be on his merry way.
NO!
He carries my table over to my new unit for me and ask if that is all?
I said thank you in amazement and gratitude.
This was a wonderful example of Chivalry.
But that's not all folks!
When we get home from this trip we pull up and are exhausted!
Then the neighbor come over and offers his truck to us.
Oh my Gosh!
Really!?
We would still be loading boxes if it wasn't for his truck.
He is disabled and isn't able to lift or move anything.
But just the use of him driving and letting us fill his truck twice today was like moving 6 loads in the other vehicle.
Oh my Gosh!
HUGE BLESSING!
More Chivalry the way I see it.
Then tomorrow he has offered once again.
Which will help tremendously.
He as well brought his oldest son on the last load to help us move the boxes around and help unload as we were getting weak ed kneed.
This was load nine for us.
Whew!
I'm tired I don't about you but I am!
As I have more help coming tomorrow as well.
Praise the Lord!
Should kick it all out by late afternoon.
I PRAY!
How you feeling a bit tired?
Not yet?
Well I am!
So we will rest until tomorrow.
So as you see I experienced a day of Chivalry!
Isn't it nice to know that I didn't need to to find a prod and poke them with it.
It came naturally and so unexpectedly.
A true gift from heaven above.
Tomorrow will bring new stories and experiences.
We'll see if we can find some more Chivalry.
Then we will know that isn't dead!
Yes!
That will be wonderful.
Hope you enjoyed the kicks and giggles with humor and delight.
As I enjoyed writing this story of blessing on chivalry, as it brought me many smiles and lots of great laughter.

Have you had to use a prod and poker lately?

Crisis

Going through a crisis here at home. That requires my total attention until I can semi resolve it. I wont be blogging for the time being. My pictures will come up for the 365 a days I will make sure those post. I will try too drop in but things need to be taken care of immediately. So between work and dealing with this there isn't much time left for my blogging.  This crisis will take my time away from my blogging. Possible will be gone for about a week hoping no longer than that. Maybe shorter if I can get it resolved quickly.
Please keep me in your prayers as I deal with this matter. I appreciate it so very much.
Then of course I find this blog healing and very relaxing so you may see me because this brings me such peace.
Blessings

Do you hate not blogging when you have to break away?

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 157

This tree reminded me of the trees in the movie,  "Wizard Of Oz",  when they where talking and throwing apples at Dorothy.
As well as those that where tauting her when they went through the Forest.
Of course this tree isn't an apple tree at all nor the trees in the forest that tauted Dorothy and all that where with her.
But if you look at the hugeness of it and how the limbs stretch out and look like they are dancing.
It kinda does.
There was no way I could get a whole tree picture of this tree or very many of any of them really.
As they all where so very large in size as you can see.
I had to hold the camera straight up and aim and pray.
I love the way it came out.
Just yet another example of the massive trees at Discovery park in Sacramento along the river banks of the American and Sacramento rivers where they meet.
Just to go there and see these trees and let the kids play in them was worth it.
I forgot how massive these trees and how unusual the trunks where on them.
Funny when you a teenager these thing's never seem that important.
Glad to come back and see things through my adult eyes; and the eyes of the grandchildren who where having such a grand time!

Come dance with me on a limb
Do you ever just shop and aim and pray you get a great picture?

Six Word Saturday

Fighting for my rights, cleaning garage

If you read letter I wrote it well help explain this message of six.
http://lifesbeautynuggets.blogspot.com/2011/07/garages-and-parking-letter.html
Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday.
Enjoy the sun for me and have an ice tea for me please.
Thank you!

Have you ever had to fight for something you thought you never would have too?

Garages And Parking Letter

I am in the very process of fighting and standing up for my rights along with many others where I live. I handed out fliers this evening in hopes we can take back what is ours in the fact that we pay our rent and are in a legal and binding lease.  Though the management thinks they can bully us! I say NO! To this and will stand up and fight. I am not a door mat! I will not be bullied!

The letter below is what I wrote this evening. Portions where taken from a sample letter that was written up by one of the other tenants who is heading up a lot of wonderful things for this community. To her I say thank you and Bravo'!

The letter went out via email earlier. I will be snail mailing it out to the management company as well as hand delivering this to office tomorrow as too.

Dear Management of Campbell Park / Blue Mountain Community Management

I am writing to express my concerns with new parking and garage regulations. I am a tenant of Campbell Park and am currently and have been renting a full two car space garage since I moved in here three years ago. I am under a lease and under the understanding that this is a legal and binding document. Which if I broke would be in breach of contract. So if you break this contract which I just signed on June 6th of this year with you as I felt I had no other choice due to a previous letter sent out to me regarding this property.  You will be in breach of contract then I will no longer need to worry about the lease as I will see it as null and void!
I did not rent this garage with the intent to share it in any capacity or to park my car in. When I leased this property they were quite aware of what the purpose was going to be used for and my intent for it. I am in full compliance of carrying my insurance for said property as well as not having flammable materials inside the garage.
It would be an inconvenience for me to park my car inside the garage. As the door is very heavy and unsafe. It is also below my neighbor’s bedroom window which at certain hours of day and night would not be in compliance to noise regulations.  As these doors are very noisy.
I as well am concerned about sharing a garage with unknown individuals who will have access to the garage as well as all of my belongings. Which increases the risk of theft and damage to my property. Furthermore, I will no longer have control over whether my garage door is left open for extended periods of time as many people will have keys besides me.
These concerns are of top priority because of the current tenant (s) problems with the law. As you well know there are multiple tenants through the complex that have been in trouble with the police nearly every weekend, convicted burglars, drug dealers, and still more that shoot up in the parking lots and other common areas endangering not only property but lives. These are not people I want to have direct access to my car and my belongings.
Section 4.2 of the Declaration for Campbell Park / Gresham Village stating that “152 parking units are provided and each unit has ONE parking unit”, can be interpreted, and indeed up to this point has been interpreted without conflict, to include some of the many parking spaces in the multiple lots around the property. Additional parking can be found for free on the street and never are all the parking spaces on the property full as the more remote ones are always open.
As stated above we currently hold the signed lease for 2785 NE Rene and the double car garage. As stated in your lease that any breach of the contract means that we are no longer bound to it.
Sincerely,
David / Elizabeth Hernandez

What are your thoughts on my letter. I could use some feed back or input. Thank you!

Finger Print Friday ~ Moms Three Beauties

Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of god

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? Here's how to join in.

1. Blog with your interpretation of God's fingerprints. Be sure to link back to Beki,  http://www.blog.therustedchain.com/ so others can find the entire list of participants!
2. After you've posted your blog, sign the Linky. Have fun exploring the other links as well!
Please only sign in if you're participating. Hopefully this will make us look at things through fresh eyes throughout the week!

What could make a better finger print than the three beautiful daughters the Lord blessed me with.
Unless of course it was my ten grandchildren.
I seldom am able to have all three girls in the same place at one time.
This day July 16, I was so blessed to have them all located in the same park at the same time for a birthday party they all where attending for a mutual friends child.
So I manged to get them to agree to a photo op for me.
I was able to get one with me and them and a few of the three of them together.
As well as a few others with two of the girls that they grew up with that I will share later.
I was so tickled to be able to have this photo op.
I so wish I could have manged all ten grandchildren.
Maybe next time.
Only some of the grandchildren where here at the park with us running around having a grand time.
This park is called "Freedom Park", in North Highlands, California.
I believe it is called that because it was apart of McCallen Air Force Base at one time.
There is a Air Museum right next too the park.
Which when I was a child it was on the base and I remember love going to the air museum as a child.
In fact I have several interesting memories of McCallen Air force Base actually.
I guess that would be natural due to the fact dad was in the military and we were on base a lot.

My Three Beauties & My self

Moms Girls

Heather is the oldest on the left Amber in the middle is the middle child and she will let you know she is too. And then there is Racheal my baby.
They grew up so fast and have turned into hard working, wonderful young woman and mothers.

Brightly shining with smiles bright
Each one given
With delight
Gifts from heaven
Shaped a life
Many joys of celebration
Each one a joy to hold
Brightly shining bright
Each smile held tight Through the years
A gift of life given
To nurture, hold, and love
Brightly shining smiles

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 156

How small they all look inside the bunny ears of the tree.
I think this may have been their favorite tree as well.
There were so many amazing large trees with unusual trunks we had no idea which way we wanted to go or what we wanted to do.
Lost inside the ears!

My what big ears you have!

How's your week wrapping up?

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 155

This is one of the old amazing trees at Discovery Park.
We were having so much fun there!
The trees brought great amusement to my grandchildren.
They where having fun giving each tree a special name.
Bet you cannot figure this one out?
That's right folks...
Its the bunny ear tree!
Mckinzee names this tree. She went running towards it screaming it the bunny ear tree look mema the bunny ears!
So of course she had to have her picture taken there.
I have a few more I may be posting of this one. I have to say it is one of my favorite's as well.
It was a great day in the park.
Heather said they kept talking about it all night and are still now that I'm home even.
Glad we made a great memory for them.
I so miss them.

The children look so tiny next to the tree.
Rylee she is just taken my the enormity of the tree I think.
While Mckinzee just wants to be the rabbit in the bunny ear tree.
Brenden looks like whats the fuss over.
Goodness knows where Anthony is hiding with so many large trees around.
I could have taken picture's of these trees all day long.
We didn't get as many as I'm sure I would have liked since I have a thing for trees.
Maybe another visit another time I will.

Bunny Ear Tree
Do you have huge unusual tree trunks around where you live that are fascinating?

Found Another Blog Hope~ Come Check It Out

Over at "Praises of a Wife and Mommy"
http://praisesofawifeandmommy.blogspot.com/
She is hosting a a very fun blog hop called "Thursday (Almost Friday!) Blog Hop.
So come along and meet some new friends and have some fun!

I thought I would join in on the fun.
I was reading the other day they said to get a wider view and audience to your blog this is one of the ways to do so and to join ones you may not necessarily join by stepping out of your comfort zone.
Imagine that!
Which in my case would be a Thursday as I'm usual at work.
So here I am!
I'm having fun checking out blogs of interest today.
I am suppose to be working on the National Night out.
I'm in charge of raffles in my neighborhood party.
I still have to put some things together.
It is our first one in this neighborhood.
I usually go to the one at my church and help out over there.
But...
I need to support my neighborhood and where I live.
It should be fun.
We are expecting a fire truck to come.
We are scheduled to have one stop by.
I know the kids will love it!
Heck I will love it!
 Hot dogs and drinks.
The little ones I think are making some snow cones I heard.
It will be a great night out I'm sure.
I will be taking photos and have been asked to share some of them for our neighborhood news letter.
WOW!
Who would have thought.
Not me!

National Cemetery ~ Shared Photo

This photo came across my email via a friend of mine.
It was one of those photos that you just want to share.
You just have to pass it along and let the world see the
amazing grace, beauty, and strength that is held within it.
Representing so much more than a cemetery.
It surely speaks for its self.
I just had to share it.

Taken at the National Cemetery in Minneapolis on a June morning as it appeared in the Minneapolis Star/Tribune.

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 154

On July 14th the day Heather, was graduating she had to go to work for a mandatory meeting. So the kids and I went to the river at Discovery Park.
It was a very lovely morning.
We ran and walked along the river banks of both the American and Sacramento rivers.
I had such a lovely day remembering days gone by in the park as well as creating new ones.
This tree branch caught my eye and I loved how the sun was glistening on the water.
The scene so peaceful, yet you know how violent the river can be and how violent it must have been to take this tree branch down.
Making a picture perfect moment in the water below.
Resting in peacefulness.
Making it appear shallow knowing it was much deeper than the appearance it was reflecting.
which makes me think how much like life that is.
Things may appear much differently than what they are.
They may appear harmless and shallow in nature;
then when you get a bit closer you realize that it is something that can bring harm and isn't so shallow after all.
Reminder we should always check with the road map of life the Holy Bible God's directions for life, never leave home without it.
Asking in pray to the one who first loved us, Our Lord and Savior.
Then you can walk on water with Him as Peter did.
Wouldn't want to get tangled up in the web of destruction of the weeds hidden below that can entrap and bring great harm or think the water is shallow and truly it is much deeper.
Just as sin will entice us and we say oh just a little wont harm us but soon we are in much deeper than we intended to be and entangled in the webs of deceit.
Thankfully God's word and His love and direction if we chose will keep us safe and out of harms way.
The journey in His care a delight and safety net of love and grace puts us near still waters.

Write A Letter Wednesday ~ To Face Book

Dear Face Book,
My feelings for you are so conflicted.
There are days I'm so happy to have you as one of my network buddy friends that connects me to so many.
From those from my past, present, to the new unknown friends,  my family far and near, business associates, and those that will be and all so much more.
What a wondrous and vast connection you have given me in the space of my computer through these window's of social networking.
I can share a world of information, some that I would prefer just to stay on my page and no further.
But then again this is the age of social networking on the Internet; a world wide web that anyone can lurk around into and find any kind of information they would like on anything or anyone.
Not even limited to this wonderful Face Book page but to so many other pages as well.
Even with all your safety and all those protections bought and paid for there is always those who will find away to take a good and useful tool and turn it into something it was never meant to be.
This is where wisdom comes in, what to share and not to put on the pages that hold my world and life.
As there are those searching the pages that aren't above board, so one must be vigilant in their own safety on this mass world wide web of social networking called Face Book .
Your resources and unlimited abilities open a whole new world to many as well as me.
To playing games and being apart of my grandchildren lives.
By living through this amazing tool and world of networking I can be a daily part of my family who live so far away and to those I miss daily. Through this amazing maze of modern technology known as social networking through the Internet.
You  have provide me the means to share my life stories and work.
Picture's of my family and vacation times close and far.
A place to voice my opinion's and thoughts.
To hear the worlds thoughts and opinion's.
To hear messages of love.
To vote on opinion's, to keep up on the news of the day and so much more.
To asking for help in finding things and locating tools I'm in search of.
To standing in prayers for those in need and them for me.
For sharing my writings and my daily thoughts growing in ways I thought I never would.
The ability you have given is endless and continues to open new venues of opportunities through your pages daily.
There are days I could spend hours on end visiting and catching up.
Losing myself in your many pages of friends and information for hours lost in the world of mazes of pages.
Pages to save me money to teaching me how to cook and organize my life and business.
I could go on and on. Things I never knew I needed or wanted.
Something for everyone.

I don't like the many changes you make continually it seems month after month.
(A bit exaggeration)
But...
Yet, I do understand that this is an ever changing world and the world of technology.
Just as the business that I am in it is ever changing as well.
To keep up we must continue to stay on the cutting edge at the very cost of the consumer who is always expecting the newest, latest, and greatest.
Thank you for your service even on those occasions that I wish I had never meet you.
I thank you for expanding my world and keeping me connected to those I treasure and love the most.
To making my work world much more convenient and just a bit easier in sharing the latest  and newest information as fast as its breaking news.
To filling my heart with all these new friendships that I would have never had had it not been through your connection into this vast world. Being able to travel the world round that you have made a bit smaller by connecting us all in the pages of Face Book.
To that I say thank you.
Sincerely,
Beth

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 153

The evening I arrived in Sacramento my daughter Amber, wanted me to go out with her. I wasn't really sure about it. But what the heck I use to be quite the party girl. I think she thought mom couldn't hang. Fooled her.
One of the wonderful things about going out that evening even though I was very tried from working all day; then flying into town, is that I got to see my niece Lenita who was in town also on leave. It was great to see her. I hadn't seen her in gosh! I want to say at least three or more years.
She is in the Air Force and is stationed abroad.
Thank you Lenita for your service to your country!
Because of you and so many others like you who provide daily for us to live here freely because of the service you provide freely.
It was a great time out.
Thank you Amber, for inviting me and for the great time I had with you girls.

Prompt ~ From Dodge Writes

http://dodgewrites.blogspot.com/
The rules are you must use the line as the first line in prose or poetry.

Today's line is ...A SIMPLE WHITE PICKET FENCE ...

A simple white picket fence
White washed with the hands of love
Wrapping around the velvet pasture of green lush grass
Hammered with a dream
Each picket filled with love
With dreams of more fulfilled
With each picket hammered with love
As the lush green grass of the pasture swayed
In the dance of the wind song
Of the dreams to come
Protected with the white washed picket fence
Each held a dream
Inside the gates of love
Surrounded by the white picket fence
Laid inside was the white daisy's of love
Held tenderly in the hands of his love
Surrounded by the white wash of
A simple white picket fence
