R is for Rest

Rest is alluding me

The older I get

They say sleep is for the dead

That I will have plenty of time then

When I was young there was no rest

For rest meant I wasn't living life

So rest is an illusion

Made for us to seek 

But never to find

This thing called rest

Whatever it is

Isn't to be found 

This rest that is alluding me

That I cannot find
