Barren

In the stillness of the of cold Winter 

Barren and reaching for the gray sky

Waiting and pleading for warmer days ahead

When covered in the glory and beauty of a long Summers day

Barren no more!

As the end of Winter comes to a close

Raiment of the cold days remain

Waiting upon the days of Spring

When life will be new again

What awaits the signs of Spring

Hoping for the dog days of Summer

Each whisper of the cold damp Winter

Dancing under the skies of gray

Awaiting for the first burst of sunlight

That ushers Spring in

Meadows of beauty

Still quiet on the fence

Scrapping the mud off

So that the dust of Spring

Can spring forth

In colors of radiant beauty

The coming of Spring

Day 23

A gift of tin, glass, wood

Thinking about tin is hard for me to find..... I don't drink pop that much so no tin there....Then I think of metal which is my car....very thankful for...... guess it could be tin! ....Then I thought of tin foil that I use a lot in cooking. So very thankful for the foil that is a tin.

Glass would be the water glass I drink out of. Trying to drink more and more water. Easier since mom gave me the water diffuser. Glass would be the window I look out of into the big beautiful world from the safety of my home.

Wood would be all the big beautiful trees that shade us in the Summer and that build so many wonderful buildings for us. The cross my Savior died on for me and you.

 Last nights sunset was amazing!

As I rushed back into get my camera there was much of the red and pink sky left.

It quickly faded as fast as I ran into the house to grab my camera.

I was so thankful to capture this little slice of heaven.

I'm really thinking I need to carry my camera with me at all times.

You just never know when those perfect pictures moments arrive.

And it seems I'm never ready with camera in hand when they do.

 I could have stood there all evening watching this sunset.

I was doing laundry or I would have missed out on the beauty.

Our laundry facilities are between the garages of our apartments.

I love how the Lord paints the sky for us in morning,

Then it dances with beauty throughout the day;

Then with a kiss goodnight He blows His sweet breathe upon the sky and creates a beauty of His love for us.

Thank you for the painted skies Lord!

Day 22 ~On Your Bedside Table

This one was kinda fun to do!

I really enjoyed finding an app and playing with it to make it more fun!
I do have a nightstand and lots on it.

The light sadly doesn't work......

Hence the light bulb in the box.

So I really don't get to read all my reading material before bed.

Unless I read in in the living room.

My princess phone and she really works.

I earned her in my Mary Kay business.

My wonderful fan that I actually use year round.

My little yellow duck I purchased after my CK girl passed away.

It just made me fell happy. 

Kleenex box and my blue cup filled with hard candy.

A mirror in the very back that is an antique.

"The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied."

Day 22~ 3 Gifts that changed today

1. Hubby cleaned out under the bathroom sink (I didn't have too) Was on my list to do.

Now we just wait for the repair from the complex. 

2. Using Kitchen sink for everything including brushing teeth until they fix our bathroom sink.

3. Not working on tax papers and relaxed and did light house work and cooked dinner. 

Nothing to huge changed the course of this day. A quiet Saturday doing a bit of R & R!!!

SKY Clouds

Today my photo challenge was clouds.

I hadn't gone for a walk yet,

 So it was a perfect day for the challenge.

 A perfect opportunity for me to be out in the fresh air and get some great photos of the clouds.

 The sky was awaiting to show off some of its amazing beauty hand painted by God for me to enjoy and share.

The wild life as well was enjoying the afternoon beauty in the upper limbs of the branches.

I think these two were sweethearts.

They sat there taking in their surroundings.

It was mesmerizing to watch them.

I loved trying to take photos that were slightly different.

But at the same time captured the clouds and gave a feel for the late afternoon.

I had so much fun doing that too.

I love these challenges as it helps me to work on my skills.

I really need to get my fancy camera out and work on learning how to use it to its full potential.

Maybe I will do that in the month of March.

I still want to take a photo class or two possibly at the college near by.

I know it would help me so much in honing in my skills in photography.

It was amazing to watch all the planes coming in late this afternoon.

We are right on the flight line to the airport.

Some days they are lined up!

 At certain times of the day looks as though they may land right in our yard.

I also get so excited when I get a good capture of the airplane in my lenses.

I wonder if they can see me up there?

I know they cant!

But..... it is fun to think they might.

The kid at heart!

I have flown so many times in and out of that airport.

I'm thinking I'm wanting to do another adventure in the near future.

I guess we will wait and see if that works into my plans.

This was a dark and interesting cloud.

Most of them where blue puff clouds moving quickly.

I'm sure we are getting snow on the mountain.

We sure do need it.

Looks like more rain will be headed our way by no later than Sunday, then for the next week calling for steady rain showers.

Day 21~ Cloud
Today was a perfect day for the challenge.
It had been raining for the past week.
We had beautiful break and the sun trying to pop out behind all these beautiful clouds.
I took I think about fifty photos.
I sure had fun taking them too!
The sky was amazing!
They  made me want to climb aboard and go on the magic carpet ride;
 In the wild blue sky among the clouds playing with the angels.
But instead I played with my camera and found sky beauty in every direction I looked.

Winter Blanket

 During our Winter storm in the early part of February I had taken some amazing photos and lots of them. 

Though I always seem to have lots of photos.
Good thing we are digital and not on film or I would be in trouble.

I loved the snow just sitting like a blanket cover on the pine needles of the tree.

Makes me want to run into the kitchen and make a cup of hot tea!

I know they are very similar in views,

I was trying to decide which one I like the best.

Of course I can never make up my mind.

Its like trying to chose which child is more important.

It doesn't work that way. 

They each have a uniqueness about them.

And a slightly different view.

I had fun taking the pictures and finding ways to make them more interesting.

As you can see I didn't do much in the cold!
I bundled up and grabbed that camera and started to snap away.

I found a really cool app with really neat looking frames on my phone.

So I added this one to make the snow stand out more.

It is February with all those sweethearts and then blue for the cold of Winter.

I have sure have been having fun with those camera apps on the phone.

I learn something new everyday.

Day 20~ Makes You Smile

Lots of things make me smile.
I love to smile!
I say grab your buckets and spread those smiles of sunshine around.

Then there is all my Mary Kay girlfriends and their amazing smiles.
I would say each one makes me smile and adds beauty to my life and my day!

Day 20 

A gift at breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Breakfast it is a toss up between my cup of coffee and the strawberry cream cheese turn overs I had. I'm thinking I'm picking the strawberry cream cheese turnovers.

Lunch while I didn't have lunch today due to the fact I was so busy. So....I'm picking my glass of water I had. And I actually enjoyed it too! 

Dinner is easy! Homemade tacos with homemade salsa doesn't get any better than that! 

I think over all it was a very good food day here for me!
