May 1~ WOW! My smile continues right into good morning. Who knew that last nights WOW would be this morning's good morning smile that would last all day long. Thank you! Like this feeling of happiness of hopefulness I woke too. Happy May day indeed! Happy May....I look forward to your many blessings you hold for me this month. Full schedule today. Off and running into this day. After first appointment meet up with the delightful Geo Sutter for a late morning walk in between sprinkles. Hey April...we said good bye to you. Your showers brings us May flowers, now good bye to you and all your rain storms. Then off to a wonderful lunch. Meeting interesting people as we wait for our meal. Then off to last two appointments of the day. The second bringing deep belly laughs of laughter with an amazing group of women that I have the honor to meet with once a week. So grateful for each one of them. A light and encouragement of hope they are. Thank you for what you bring into my life. Home to my humble abode. So today I'm extremely grateful to wake with a smile, to get all my appointments behind me. For the belly laughter and friends that accept you right were you are. Happy May day blessings
May 2~ Oh No! I have over slept today. I have a bit of a drive to first appointment this morning. Wet rainy roads heading towards Oregon City. Grateful for the back roads and the river route. Thank you my friend for sharing this great drive with me last year. Makes it a much more enjoyable drive to my appointments in Oregon City; I would even say relaxing. I will be enjoying this route every week for at least the next two months maybe longer. Brings peace to me. Then another lunch date with Geo Sutter before next appointment. Soup and salad makes a great lunch and warms the insides. Thank you. Then time for next appointment that brings information and some hope. Rainy days with afternoon relaxation, with cat naps. PERFECT! Today I'm thankful for peaceful routes through the country. Memories that bring smiles, conversation with great friends, hot soup, and cat naps. Thank you Lord for the gifts that keep giving long after we receive them. Blessings
May 3~ Early rise Beth it's Wednesday day of beauty and smiles. Coffee, prayers, gas, phone call from my Amber Webber this morning, before I left the house. And the day is off to a grand start. Slow day in salon. Seven on books and three clients. They all must want to sit in the glorious sunshine today. Shopping for salon. Meet up with two amazing ladies for lunch today. Was great seeing you Mary McCormick Loomis, thank you for driving. And the beautiful Geo Sutter. Then Geo and I took a wonderful walk around her neighborhood. Then off to do some retail therapy. I was very excited to get some great purchases for my trips to sunny California. Feeling really blessed as the clerks even gave me extra discounts. On one purchase I got three discounts which included my senior discount. She had to see id. She was very surprised. Made my day! Thank you! Home to mow lawn. Which I clipped my pretty flower from the yard. So thankful for the beautiful sunshine, the chirping birds, fun with girlfriends. Super blessed with great finds today. Getting the yard mowed and getting it into shape. The best is the smiles from ..... Love those happy texts. Hmmmm......... Has a whole new meaning! Now thinking about some R&R. The Lord has blessed me abundantly today, thank you Jesus! Blessings
May 4~ Oh no! I over slept once again. What in the world is going on with me? Up and run around to get ready for work. Coffee, small prayers to get me and this day on right track. Oh no! Traffic is horrific. Wreck clogged up surface streets. A 15 minute drive to work turned into a 45 minute drive. Now I'm truly late. What on earth is going on? Like everything is turned on its ax's upside down. Three canceled at work. Thankful for the two. Home maybe I can get on track for the rest of the day. Nope! Late leaving town. Storms on the mountain no visibility at all. Lighting, construction, crazy drivers. Yes this day is nerve racking. Highlights maybe hard to find...but I will find the blessings.....and I have. Pie with Geo Sutter which brought some peace to my stressed soul. The beauty of the mist and fog on the mountain before the storm and non visibility hit. Arriving safely at the vacation home and seeing Katherine Fischer Huston. The beautiful sunset over The mountains at the vacation home. The hummm, hmmm, Yum bo, of your texts. Thinking the next glass of wine should be yummy. Grateful for making it through one heck of a crazy off quilter day. Thank you Lord for being my pilot today and carrying be through to safety on this chapter and page of my journey; as it has been one heck of a ride today. Blessings
May 5~ Waking up refreshed at vacation home to amazing beautiful morning views. Puppy time outside in the fresh early morning county air. Cool morning breezes that linger long after they have kissed you goodbye. Kick back with morning coffee in the rocking chair. Animals fed and watered, floors vacuumed, dishes put away. More quiet, as I sit in the rocker as I take in all the beauty as KatherineFischer Huston continues convalescent. Enjoyed my morning texts; that brought smiles across the miles until our next wine date. Late afternoon drive to Redmond. Then back to the vacation home to cook dinner. Katherine back in bed resting, Mother Superior is keeping her in line. Listening to the clock tic toc, Cassie snoring, the train going by, train horn, crickets, wind blowing through the trees and bushes, doorbells, and so much more that pass you by. The noise of silence and peaceful sounds. So many wonderful quiet noises we miss out on in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. So thankful to be able to hear everyone of them in this quiet place I call my vacation home. The loneliness here fills my soul with peace that no other place does, here at the vacation home; even as I help Katherine convalescent there is tranquility. Thankful for the doors the Lord opens to me to be a blessing and to be blessed. Today thankful for my ears to hear the quiet and all the noises I miss out on when I'm rushing around. The phone call from my daughter Amber Webber, to inform me about a blouse I shouldn't wear anymore. I love you Amber thank you. Puppy dog kisses and kitty love. The beautiful views at every turn. Thank you Lord for waking me today, to take in all the rich sights and sounds of beauty around me. Blessings
May 6~ Waking in my cozy vacation home bed. Ummm.....stay in bed or get up? Coffee does sound really good. Cassie needs to be let outside and fed. Guess I'm getting up....but getting up to beautiful views and more of that peaceful quiet. Today will be a no make-up hair day. Oh and did I mention yoga pants; as well as no foundation to pull everything together were it belongs. It's a fly free, fall wherever kinda of comfortable day. It's my granola look for today. So comfortable need to do this more often. Kick back and read today as Katherine Fischer Huston continued her convalescent. We had morning visit from the beautiful Tami Eidemiller and her mom Judy. Lovely to see them. What joy they are! Back to taking in the views and quiet tranquility. Finished vacuuming the house today. A walk with Cassie girl and Katherine to the bridge and back. It was a bit chilly and breezy. Love that country fresh air. Watered the rhubarb and walked around the house taking in all the rich sights and sounds of the country, all around me. Then more laughter and visits with the lovely Victoria and Ted, who came to call on Katherine. What a lovely couple, so nice to meet them. Today's blessings have been just flying free and doing life at a nice slow leisurely pace. Thank you Lord for healing Katherine and giving me the opportunity to be here for her. Feeling blessed just being here at the vacation home. Rejuvenating myself. Blessings
May 7~ Good morning Sunday sunshine. Waking to these beautiful views at the vacation home. Thank you Lord for the majestic mountains and scenery you have blessed us with. Some morning devotional and time with the Lord. Quiet and lots of the quiet sounds all around me. A little book reading and a morning nap. A walk around the property withKatherine Fischer Huston. Got to get that exercise in. Some silly laughter and serious talk from the heart. Tears that heal and laughter is of good medicine. Thankful for those heart to heart conversations. Watched some church on line today from my daughter Webber Heather home church in California. Got to see two of my grandchildren perform today. Great job Mickeneez, Rylee, and B-man, so proud of you. What a blessing. Tami Eidemillerstops by for a short visit, what an encouragement she is. Time with friends is always a wonderful gift. Grandparents show up. Unexpected changes. Time to move me to another room and freshen that one up. Laughing so hard it is hard get anything accomplished. Suddenly feeling foolish.....but....hey....
May 8~ Waking up to my beautiful views and sunshine in Central Oregon. It's hard to pack up and leave this Serene place. Morning coffee, chit chat with Katherine Fischer Huston. Load the car. A walk along the canal and back with Katherine, and Cassie. The views amazing, the weather perfect. Finish saying my good byes and a few more pictures of the majestic mountains and beauty I'm leaving behind till next time. Thankful for the time here and being able to help Katherine convalescent. The drive home uneventful and beautiful weather, unlike when I drove over. Thank you Lord for this beautiful day and safe trip home. Meet up with Mary McCormick Loomis for a quick catch up; Great to see you before my appointment. Wise words from the ladies today. One re~ affirming what Geo Sutter thoughts are only in a different wording. Loved it! "Leaving little bread crumbs for them to pick up." thank you my wonderful friend. Now I have to put it out there and trust. Home to unpack and refresh for tomorrow's work load. Thankful to God that I had the opportunity and option to be my own boss so I can enjoy life on my timeline and my hearts desires. Thank you Lord for giving me the skills and desire to take the risk of living life out side the box of the norm. Feeling very blessed being able to make choices and decisions that work best for me.
