365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 365

COMPLETION OF 365 DAYS OF PICTURES!

We have accomplished the 365 day of pictures!
It has been an amazing journey and learning experience.
Not only did I start the pictures shortly after I started blogging.
But it has helped me grow in my skills of photography.
I have found out how much I love taking photos besides writing.
Thinking I really do need a new camera and should consider taking some photo classes to learn more.

I have chosen CK as my finally picture for this journey and challenge that I have completed.
She has been a source of love and encouragement to me through the process.
Sounds funny that a pet would do that for you.
But she does.
I love taking photos of her;
She has been a great subject for me.
She keeps me on my toes with things to write about;
As well as taking photos of her.
As many of you know I wrote many stories about her.
Which we will continue to do.

I will start a new challenge soon.
Not sure what it will be.
I'd like it to be another one that challenges me in growing and using photos.
Will take any ideas and suggestions.

Thank you all for following along on this amazing growing journey with me.
I look forward to sharing the next journey with you all as well.

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 364

So this was our ladies tea at my neighbors home on
Monday President's Day!
It was a lovely afternoon with several ladies that showed for a wonderful afternoon filled with love and fellowship.
Thank you Pat for having us all over.
Looking forward to the next afternoon tea.
As you see the treats where yummy indeed.
The china used this afternoon was china that belonged to her mom.
It was so beautiful!

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 363

Dreaming of out door dining.
This was one of our Summer BBQ events the last weekend in July 2011.
As you see it was a wonderful feast!
Longing for those long dog days of Summer and
Those out door dining moments with loved ones and friends.
Would love to have you come and join us for the festivities.

O Lord, help us to trust you with every concern and worry we have.

1 Peter 5:7

"Casting all your care upon him; for He careth for you."

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 361

Here we are on the last five days of this challenge.
This past year has been so fun finding photos or things to take pictures of.
I hope you have been having as much fun as I have.

I still have four more to go so it will be fun to see what I come up with.

Here is our beautiful CK girl once again.
She is taking over the couch as you see.
The Queen!
We are only here to make her life more comfortable.
We are her housekeepers!
She rules the roost with her iron paws!

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 360

This photo was taken this past Sunday at the restaurant "Beaches" at the Portland airport.
We all had breakfast together.
We were there to say goodbye to my sister.
She was leaving for Kabul to serve our country for the next year.
Please when you think about it if you could left her up in prayers along with all those serving I surly would appreciate it.
Thank you!

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 359

Once again here I am playing catch up.
Due to birthday I fell behind.

This is one of my newest pictures.
This was taken on the day before my Birthday!
It looks like Im caged or stuck in the tree.
As some of you know I love trees.
I have taken many pricutres of them;
As well as having my picture taken around them.
So I will say this is my
Birthday picutre with one of my many trees around my home.

It was a lovely day of rain and running around for the perfect dinner on my birthday.
It was an excellent dinner prepared by my girlfriend and hubby.
We had steak and lobster
With many yummy trimmings.
Wish you all could have had some.

Do you go out to eat on your birthday or does a family member prepare you something special?

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 358

Photo was snapped last year in April 2011

Sitting here dreaming of Spring blooms!
As I came across this beautiful Ornamental Cherry Blossom tree.
How I miss these beauties!

Looking forward to see what beautiful blooms lay ahead in the Spring.

Matthew 7:8

"Everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."

Heavenly Father, thou has prepared things for us that we can have if only we believe. May we come to thee in our weakness and ask.

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 356

This shot was taken in August 2011
On my hike through some of the many paths
At Silver Falls, Oregon

The light shining through the trees guiding my path just as the Lord guides my footsteps.

If your happy and you know it
Clap your hands!

Prepare the way of the Lord;
Make His paths straight."

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 355

Some days you just have to stop and smell the wild flowers.

This picture was taken last June 2011
On a visit to California to visit my daughters and wonderful grandchildren.

This is the amazing Mckinzee!

I pray she always stops to smell the wild flowers.
Or shall I truly say:
Stop and smell the rose's along the way.

What a beautiful memory captured that day.
We had so much fun!

We were at Discovery Park in Sacramento.

(Your life is of infinite worth and impacts many others,
Regardless of your recognition of that fact.)

Do you like to slow down and smell the rose's or do you rush through?

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 354

This was taken last yer when I was cleaning out and inventorying all of my Mary Kay product.
Something I really need to do once again.
I think I need to inventory at least twice a year.
It is part of the job that I really don't like.
But it always feels good to get it done.
It also makes my shelves look all clean and pretty.
Sometimes a bit bare as I will have plenty of holes to fill.
As you see I carry a pretty full store.

If you don't have a consultant  and would love to have a consultant;
I would be glad to be a service to you.
Its fun to go and look at all the pretty product.
Feel free to go and look at all the new line.

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 353

I should have posted this picture yesterday,
Instead of the hair color one.

But.....
I guess I was a space cadet!

This is my handsome grandson Shawn.
He turned 14 yesterday.
I am so blessed to have such fine grandson's.
This photo was taken last June when I was visiting.
I can hardly wait to go and visit once again.
And of course get some current and up to date photos.
Once in awhile as you know;
I will swipe pictures that have been posted to Face Book from Amber.
Speaking of Amber this is her son and her first born.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
SHAWN!

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 352

This is what is on my mind.
This photo was taken last March 2011

I may have changed the color a bit and my style.
But....
I still love to cover that strange weave of grey that some little elves come in and weave in at night while I sleep.
How dare they!
They didn't even ask permission.
They just decided that was their job
And decided that was what they wanted to do.

So then I must go in and correct this horrible little grey weave that was created by them.
They seem to come and visit ever night without even being asked to stop by.
What's that about I ask?
They say it is their job!
Hmmm.....
Well my job is to cover it quickly!

So grateful for my color bottle.
Whatever color that is that I decide upon.

I'm thinking I will be getting this done in the next few days before my birthday arrives.
I think I should cover that aging grey that was weaved in while I was sleeping.
That is so unexpectedly done ever night as I sleep.

Not sure what color I will go this time around.
I'm sure I will be staying in the red zones.
Come late Spring I may go a bit blonder.

I find color so fun an expressive.
Can change with my mood;
I guess!

Time For Color

Do you have little elves that visit while you sleep and weave grey in your hair?
 LOL

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 351

This beautiful photo of peaceful still waters of the Willamette River was taken in early October 2011.
It was taken on one of my many adventures out.
It was a drizzly day.
But yet hauntingly beautiful and peaceful.
Thankful for each days gifts.

The still peace of the still waters.
Shadowed with the beauty of early Fall;
Crisp cool day filled with colors of the Fall day.
And the love of friendship.

Looking forward to some new adventures and pictures to share in the near future.
It is fun going back through the photos of this past year and sharing those that seemed to been over looked.

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 349

Super Bowl
Has come and gone!
Once again the
BIG
Pot of Guacamole is made.
Dear hubby loves making his homemade
Guacamole and salsa.
He takes it down to his favorite Pub.
Where he sits and parties and watching the game.
I guess I should be happy I don't have to have it on here.
But....
I flick it back and forth just so I know what is happening and what the score is.
That way I can talk intelligently when the time comes;
When he comes home and wants to talk about the game.

Homemade Guacamole

Do you have a super bowl party or do you go to one.....?

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 348

Last February 24th, 2011 we had a wonderful dusting of some late Winter snow.
Beautiful sunlight laced and broke through the evening sky.
Making a beautiful postcard imagine to admire.
The ground was covered with just enough Winter blanket of snow;
To let the colors of the ground break through.
Each hedge and tree draped in its own blanket of white snow.
With a hints of green shimmering through with the light shining on like baby diamonds.
I miss this last scape!
As Spring came so did a whole new look;
As the new management ripped up the beautiful landscape that surrounded out home.
As many of you know who had followed this heart breaking saga.
I have since learned to live without the beautiful landscape that once surrounded my home.
The cover was gone!
And from the ashes of the beauty aroused new friendships in the park that I lived in.
New shining diamonds to share and enjoy.
Though I miss the beautiful landscape I treasure the new found friendships that have been uncovered with the new landscaping.
How things can change in a short few months.
I wonder what wonderful hidden gifts lay ahead under the cold hard ground of Winter that haven't revealed themselves yet this season!

Do you look forward to finding new diamonds and treasures buried from the Winter season?

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 347

My dinette set.
My clean table!
Oh!
How I wish it looked like that right
NOW!
But it is full of a bit of this and that.
Makes me want to run in and clean everything off and toss things away.
But that isn't the way things work.
At least not here.

There will be plenty of paper work all over for a bit too.
As we are in tax season.
I am going through all those receipts and paper and more paper.
YUK!

But....
It is nice to see a nice clean clear table that is usable for dining.

This photo was taken last April 2011 mid month.

Clean

Do you use your table as a catch all or is it a dining table which it was meant for?

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 346

This is the lovely Jean getting a perm.
I gave her a perm on January 13th 2012.
She went home to be with the Lord on Monday 16th of January 2012.
She was the last of my original clients from the date that I started four years ago.

It was very hard to say goodbye to her.
She missed her Birthday by two weeks.
She would have been 93 she said.

I don't think she had only a handful of grey hairs.
Enough hair for four ladies.

She was an absolute delight to have in the salon and see every week.
She brought me much joy.
She always asked what she could pray for.
She sang for us
She had been in choir her entire life.

They said when she was saying her goodbyes she was singing I'm going to let this little light of mine shine.
I cried and cried.
I usually don't re-act in so many tears.
As when you work with them at this age you know it is coming.
Some just hit harder than others.

I have wanted to post about Jean for a bit but it has been very tough.
I have several others that I have lost in the past few months.
It has been one right after another for months.
So I really haven't posted about it.
I try to stay up and positive.

But I need prayers as the salon isn't doing well and I don't know if I will be able to keep the doors open.
So I'm asking for prayers.
I love this job and see it as a minister to them and the families.

I love each one of my ladies so very much.
Thank you for your prayers and love of encouragement.

Lord be with Jeans family!

R.I.P.
Jean
