Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:

And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of god

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? Here's how to join in.

Stuffed Toy

Finding joy and laughter in the silly things.
As hubby tries to entertain me.
Or is he really amusing himself....?
The laughter and joy of little children as we play

Eating Stuffed Shark

I as well was playing with some of my camera apps as well as we took pictures.
I think we used three different cameras goofing around.
Had so much fun!
Playing as a little child.

The photo below I used the Instagram app on.

Stillness
Evening Stroll

This past week I was feeling very shut in the house.
Not being out I was feeling a bit closed in.
So hubby asked if I would like some fresh air.
I thought ... Oh! How wonderful that would be.
So we transported me into the wheelchair for a short stroll down the road.
He is a wild driver!
Or I just had no control of my fate.
Not liking that much.
Seems to be the case these days.
No control!
Truly having to give my trust into hubby's hand.
Much like when we give our lives totally to the Lord.
Trust!
Trust that all will work the way it should as we lean on Him and not our own understanding.
As they always work out and turn out much better than we ever dreamed or imagine.
The little ride was wonderful and so refreshing.
Though I don't think it was the wises decision we ever made;
It was a bit chilling to be out so soon after surgery.
Though it felt wonderful to be out in the fresh air and seeing some of the sights and sounds of the neighborhood.
As fast as I snapped this shot of my favorite field to walk through,
I was ready for the return trip home.
Pain was setting in and I was exhausted.
It was a wonderful peaceful reminder of the many walks I had with my belated CK girl.
It brought peace and joy to me.
Reminding me to be still in Him.
As I continue on my road to recovery over the days and months ahead of me.
Calming my spirit knowing all will be renewed and healed in time in Him with time.

NKJV
Mark 4:39
Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace be still" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

So as I continue in this recovery I am reminded how much He loves me.
He meets my needs each day.
I may not always know how;
But He never fails me.
In the stillness of the picture,
It gives me the hope of tomorrow,
As I am sitting in the stillness and the quiet of my home,
In the field,
In the garden of life.
I'm held tightly in His loving hand and care.
As I look deeper in the scene we see the school.
Here I am in His school of learning to be still and know that He is God!
He has everything under control.
That each need will be meet in His perfect timing.
I don't always need to know the how and why;
As He reveals His love to me through each activity and event
It will be revealed in His perfect timing.
In the stillness
 Is.........
what is needed for total recovery and use of the ankle once again
In His perfect timing.

Below is two fundraiser links to help through this four months of recovery and medical bills. As I carried half the bills through my work.
We have no medical insurance to cover medical.
We are in the process of applying for help.
Through much prayers and through encouragement of some friends they suggested I give these a try.
Medical bills are piling up.
Just the few that have arrived already are near $30,000.
And still coming in.
God is faithful and I trust this is alp going to be paid in full;
and every need meet through Him
Thank you!

How wonderfully we are created
How wonderful and beautifully we are knitted together.
This past week I understood more clearly how beautifully we are created and knitted together.
I rolled my left foot inward last Tuesday afternoon on a trip to mail packages off to my daughters in California. My ankle snapped and I popped everything back in place. Though that would not be enough. A trip to the emergency room and some x-rays would reveal I would be in need of emercy surgery. Next day after Doctor looked at it I was being checked into the hospital where I work as a housekeeper.  (Side note the very room I cleaned the day before; funny I cleaned my own hospital room for me. little did I know the day I was cleaning it. LOL) By that afternoon I was being rolled into surgery to have a metal plate and four screws put into my ankle. I had broke the fibular bone and fractured the other, as well as pulled out all muscle tissues and tenants out of place. With a long drooling recovery facing me.
So ......You are wondering where is the finger print of God?
Well.....It amazing to me to see how wonderfully we are knitted together.
The gift of healing given to the doctors to mend the broken bones and heal the sick.
As our Father in heaven uses each one as His minster of healing using their gifts and talents that they have been given.

NKJV

Isaiah 52:7

How beautiful upon the mountain's are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns."

The picture below was taken at doctors office one week after surgery. The two small toes are unable to move. So we are working on getting them back to normal with foot exercise. I am wearing a boot that looks like something from outer space.
Who knew when I was child watching the 'Bonic Woman', that I would have some bionic parts put into me to help me be perfectly knitted back together.

Fresh powder snow
Kids playing
With laughter all about
Fury dogs running through the white Winter wonderland
Seizing each moment
Day and night
All are the perfect fingerprint of God.

This past week we have had many finger prints
Of the Lord shining through the weather.
Children enjoying the snow days.
Dogs playing with their Masters and their playmates.
Strong winds whipping through
Trees ripped up and thrown like tooth picks
Rains that have no end in sight
With flash flooding all about.
Rivers breaching their banks
Snow covered mountains
His hand print all around
In each breathe breathed

Through it all His strength and beauty shine.
Showing His mighty hand
Not one day goes by
That the Lord does not shine through
With His gifts of beauty and love all about.

Below is one of the many snowman that the children built on Wednesday night when the snows came.
The joy in their voices and the laughter and play gave way to a late night of play and snow white joy.
Gods finger print of love in each flake that fall
Each laughter of play
As each child
Small and adult
Played in the moonlight of night
In the snow.

NKJV

Habakkuk 3:19

The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer's feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.

-------------------

It has been awhile since I have done a fingerprint Friday.
I so want to get back on my schedule;
So this is my first attempts at it.
What a perfect one to start with too;
A finger print of Gods touch.

This photo was taken the other day when I was out adventuring with my girlfriend Sally.
We were in Troutdale at the museum.
Then we walked down to the river's edge.
This is the Sandy river, at Troutdale, Oregon.

It was a very windy crisp cold day.
Even in the cold of Winter;
His hand shines on the river and on the dry bare trees,
Of the mid Winter cold day in January.
As they await their Spring foliage.
It looks like the start of Spring this day,
But I can assure you it was a very bitterly cold this day.
The winds were blowing and bending the trees to and fro.
I thought we might be blown right into the cold waters of the Sandy river.
But we manged to stay a foot on the safe dry land;
And I got some beautiful snapshots instead of the river.

I just love the way the Lord blesses us daily with the beauty around us.
I love that all I have to do is unwrap each gift that He has left displayed out for me to enjoy.
Today it was the beauty of a cold Winter day by the river.
As we went about visiting some of the local museum's in the area.

Psalm 23: 2
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.

Do you like to go out in the cold of Winter and see the beauty God has painted for you?

The Love of Family

John & David

Beth & John

With each passing year
You grow a bit taller in stature
Into a fine strapping young man
As you reach for your dreams and goals
Chasing each one
Never giving up
Racing ever towards the finish line
Capturing each moment as it comes
But our love for you never fades
It grows with each passing day
As we watch you race towards the goals
Catching each day
With zest for life
You make us so proud
As you grow into a fine young man
That God created you to be

~Beth~

NKJV

Psalm 68:6

God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Are you always amazed at how your family grows so quickly each day?

Cushion Of Color

Winds blowing
Leafs floating
Piles gathering
Empty seats awaiting
Each color
A dream
And
A wish
Crisp cold
Iron
Awaiting its seat cover
Of cushions of color
As the Second Spring enters
In her full glory
Of Fall color
Each leaf hand painted
With brilliant hues
Of reds and golds
Each a fluttering beauty through the air
Landing in a cushion
Of banquet beauty
Inviting all
To come join in the frolic
Of the whirling and twirling
In the wind
Dancing across the granite of stone
Creating a cushion of color
 Resting her Fall beauty
In a seat of iron

~Beth~

All hand painted
Just for our enjoyment
By the Lord Jesus
His gift to us

Leviticus 26:4

I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees of the field their fruit.

I never grow weary or tried of the beauty of Multnomah Falls.
It is so gorgeous year around with its turning colors for every season.
Each scene is truly hand painted by God.
There was only a trickle of water compared to the normal flow of this treasured land mark.
What was even more fascinating to me was that I captured a picture with no one on the upper bridge;
Pracically unheard of!
(Unseen)
And only a few below taking pictures;
Or drinking in all the beauty surrounding them.

I love how the trees on either side frame the Falls;
With their Fall charm with the changing color of golden hues.
Tis' a beauty to take in as
The season changes from one to another.

Psalm 50:2

New International Version (NIV)

2 From Zion, perfect in beauty,
   God shines forth.

Evening walks with hubby have presented some breathe taking sites in the evening light.
He is a fast walker so I don't get many great photo shots.
But just loved this one of the tree in the school yard.
Burning red leaves that remind me of His burning love for me.

Red Leaves A fire

NKJV

1Thessalonians 5: 23-24

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

There isn't anything in this world that I can think of that doesn't have God's finger print on it.
But...
One of the most amazing finger prints that God gives us daily is the sky.
I am always captivated by its amazing beauty and every changing scenes.
It is as if the sky speaks to us.
It seems to have as many moods as we have.
When I was a child I use to love to lay in the yard and watch the clouds.
I would make animal's and scenes out of the beauty of the sky above.
I even still to this day love to watch the sky above and make pictures and scenes of the beauty God has given to us through the clouds.
God paints such amazing beauty for us daily through the sunrise to the sunset.
To an approaching storm.
To a crystal blue day.
To the rainbow set in the heavens as a reminder of His promise.
I love them all each and everyone.
I think I may have captured many of them in my camera.
Some take my breathe away.
Well others give way to running for shelter.
Others a gentle reminder of His undying love for me.
The sky is a quiet reminder of His loving word and promise when I look up to the sky and see the beauty He has painted in the heavens above.
His perfect love that takes my breathe away every time I think of how undeserving I am.
To the place I run to for shelter in times of trouble; right into my loving Father's arms of love and protection.
His hand is always over me covering me and protecting me guiding me into His perfect love and shelter.
It is no wonder we are in such awe of such beauty such breathe taking scenes that take our breathe away every time we look to the heavens.

Edging Beauty

Ripples Of Beauty

Approaching His Throne

NKJV

Psalm 107: 28-30

Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. He calms the storm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet; so He guides them to their desired haven.

Do you love to watch the sky?
