Spring gifts/surprises & April Joy Dare

Spring gifts/surprises

Day 29~ Spring gifts/surprises the birth of my beautiful granddaughter ten years ago. Sammie was a surprise to us all and what a blessing she has been. A beautiful blue eyes beauty that brings much joy to this family. Wish I could be with her to celebrate her special day the Lord blessed us with her. Getting some odds and ends done today around the house. Writing out more bills to the collectors to get them off in a timely manner. I so thought I just did them.....but they showed up again. :) This is a blessings because that means I have money to pay them and that I am very blessed to have the things that I have. My creative dinner in one skillet. Not to bad either. Quiet night at home.

Day 30~ Spring gifts/surprises headed off to work and found it was a very simple quiet day with a few haircuts. I thought it was going to be different but it all worked out the way it needed too. Came home did a few things and then off and visited the wonderful Carol Miller! Please keep this lovely lady in your prayers thank you. My visit just wasn't quiet long enough. Then off to a beautiful afternoon walk in one of the many beautiful gardens here in the Portland area. Took plenty of pictures of all the lovely blooms. What wonderful gifts indeed. Saw the doctor and got the news about my ankle. Now we watch God work. Then off on a beautiful evening drive. Saw a friend that made me laugh and smile. The end of April will bring us our May flowers in bloom.

May Blooming Treasures Found

May I have decided to do for my thankfulness "Blooming treasures found". This should be fun.

Day 1~ May blooming treasures found is me up early on a day I could sleep in so I could register for my Mary Kay Seminar Ruby division in July. So very excited as it will be blooming with each event of 50 years of celebration. Going back to bed and sleeping for another hour or two. Well needed sleep. Accomplishing small task around the house. Able to bless Kenney Ge with a haircut and share precious memories of his son who we will be celebrating his life in memory on Saturday. (Please keep family in prayer thank you.) Resting and writing on my blog is always a treasure and finding each one blooming in the process of each new post.
Hope to hear all about each of your blooming treasures in the month of May. Did you receive or give flowers on this first day of May?

Day 2~ May blooming treasures seem to be in full bloom as I look all around I see the flowers blooming and the trees filling out with all their leafs. Gods mercy grace and love fills me. I had many beautiful treasures come and see me today to get their hair done or other beauty treatment. What a delight each one is. I am having so much fun getting to know the ladies here at the new shop. Off early enough to enjoy the beauty of the day and the sunshine. What a blessing. Visiting with my lovely neighbor Pat Holzbach and Mickey always bring me joy. Finding I love you and miss you from my grandson Shawn Harris on my message on FB. ♥ God is truly good to me!

Day 3~May blooming treasures are turning into so many that I could already write book. Work is always filled with many blessings and surprises. I had to giggle at Edna today..her son made arrangements with me so she doesn't have to worry about the money. So she said we should charge double we split at the pay date. I tell you these older folks are a hoot! Finished up early at salon so was able to get some errands done as well as enjoy the beautiful sunshine. Had the best time withCindy Forsythe RiederMary Ann Forsythe Wimberly, and friend Linda! At El Indio's for lunch. I don't think I have laughed that hard in a very long time. Thank you for a great afternoon! These were just some of the highlights of the day. Treasures of memories made. ♥

Day 4~ May blooming treasures has had a whole mixture of emotions today. Sad, happy, joy, you name it I think I may have had in my day of treasures found today. It was a day to say goodbye until we meet in glory, to a young man taken to soon. May the Lord be with his family and all that loved him so. Thank you for allowing me to come celebrate his life with you all today. A celebration of life; loving those around me and standing in prayers with them; sharing memories. Emotions rage on days like this. You think of so many things. You race to say I love you to those in your life. You listen to every word and sound and rejoice. The children playing in the yard, baby's crying, laughter that makes your belly hurt. Treasure's blooming so many I have. Thankful for this day and all who are in my life. I have an endless list today I could write yet another book just for today. I pray you each see all your treasure bloom each and everyday. You are the flower in my garden and life. ♥

Day 5~ May blooming treasures was being able to hear to great messages yesterday one in service and the other in bible study. Then meeting up with some fabulous Mary Kay ladies and listening to a great National speaker Vickie Auth. Thank you Cathi Forsythe and Cindy Forsythe Rieder for encouraging me to go. It was great to see Lara Hurst, and Tammy Brown Earley! Then finding pizza at home for dinner. Topped off with a wonderful evening drive. Great day!

The smiles of all my friends at church as well as those beautiful girlfriends in Mary Kay. So many welcoming smiles, just made my day!

Sadly this is as good as it gets for me according to the doctor.
I will have to live with the swelling and pain.
I have permanent damage done to nerves and tenants
as well as muscle.
There is calcium build up.
Pain caused by the tissue around the scar area  where the plate and screws are.
Thank you for all the love and prayers of support.
I cannot afford second opinion.
But am grateful I can walk.
Below are two fundraiser links to help with medical bills.
We have no medical insurance to cover medical.
As the weeks have gone by since I have started back to work
The ankle continues to have many issues
The cost of second opinion is much more than I realized
Doctor has discounted my pain meds
Many issues
Needing God's direction
With many prayers

Playdates With God~ Spring gifts/surprises & April Joy Dare

Spring gifts/surprises

Day 22~ Spring gifts/surprises sitting in the living room relaxing this morning and looking up and seeing hubby in sunglasses serving us coffee; then sitting down and watching TV with them on. I still am laughing over that one. Great surprise! Getting a load of laundry done early today. Getting out in the beautiful sunshine and walking around and to the post mart as well as the salon supply. Got another bag which I love. Then out to dinner for a lovely Italian dinner at Giuseppe's. Love it! Sitting in the car trying to fix rear view mirror. Not sure that is a gift expect I'm glad it did it in the drive way and not while I was driving. A lovely Spring evening.

Day 23~ Spring gifts/surprises woke up much earlier than I thought. So was able to take my time to getting ready for work this morning. Had two clients this morning; then I got my hair fixed. What a wonderful blessing that was. Not to mention the prayer time and fellowship. The best! Then another haircut. Love making the ladies feel special and as beautiful as they are. I also got a phone call for an outside client to come on Thursday for a hair cut. YEA! The sunshine was out warming me. Love it! Then I found some important paper work. Dinner with hubby was chicken wings. Micky and Pat Holzbach cam by so love seeing them. Lovely little visit. They both bring joy to our hearts here in our home. An evening drive was beautiful as well. It was an awesome day!

Day 24~ Spring gifts/surprises getting up and getting some well needed cleaning done. Still so much more to go. It is the start of spring cleaning in this house. Which....is always full of surprises. The beautiful sunshine outside that I opt to not sit and enjoy for spring cleaning. This is a huge surprise as I have waited for this for so long. Small walks in the beautiful weather. Huge surprise was even though they said rent wouldn't go up. It really did! I am thankful to have a place to pay rent on. A short nap this afternoon was wonderful; just wish it had been longer. Looking towards a quiet evening.......

Day 25~ Spring gifts/surprises today is an extremely hard day. The smiles and love poured out to the people I love so much who have a huge hole left in their heart today. The prayers that cover ore than I can ever dream or imagine in my life time. The smiles of the ladies at the salon today. The beautiful sunshine that brings warmth in so many ways to a body heart and soul. A friendship that crosses the miles and leaves an imprint for a life time. Phone calls that you can cry and laugh and hold one another even through the distance. Gods undying love for us. Thank you for the smile's and love even when its hard Lord.

Day 26~ Spring gifts/surprises awaking early enough to get dressed and use the vanity area before hubby got up. A wonderful gift indeed. The beautiful morning sunshine that I had the pleasure driving to work in. Finding my list of clients had grown over the week. Getting all the ladies and gents looking fabulous for another week. Stopping by Goodyear and having them help me with rear view mirror. It will be back up and working by Sunday afternoon. Yea! long process to do it properly. Small walk in the afternoon sun. Loving this warmer weather it is a gift! Dinner and kitchen cleaned. Taking pictures of the beautiful flowers in the garden at work today. Makes me wish I had a garden. It has been a very wonderful as I enjoyed the sunshine.

Day 27~ Spring gifts/surprises So many gifts opened today with many surprises I wouldn't even know where to start. So I will say it has been a fun filled day of memories made with family and friends. Mary McCormick Loomis picked me up early this morning for a road trip to the The Dalles for the Cherry Festival and other activities. What fun! Lots of pictures taken with my new camera; that I still cannot figure out. I so do need to read the book or take a class. Maybe should do both. Eat yummy food all day long. Walks in the beautiful sunshine. Laughter there and back. Scenic routes and old highways. What a great way to spend a Spring day!

Day 28~ Spring gifts/surprises Hubby taking me out for breakfast was most definitely a gift and a surprise both. It was a nice time and meet some of his guy friends. Meeting with Vanda Cummings today as she was driving through to her grandchildren. Delivered her Mary Kay to her and had a lovely visit. Felt like we had known each other forever. She brought me lovely flowers. Smell wonderful too! Hubby cooking dinner! Sweet! It has been a wonderful day.

April Joy Dare:

22~ 3 Gifts close
Hard for me today or I should say tonight.
1) The car part stores where closed that I wanted open tonight. Not sure if I see this as a gift. Unless I take to Goodyear tomorrow after work. Then I don't have to deal with it.
2) My close friends that make me feel like a million
3) Making my votes on Dancing with the Stars before the vote closes.

23~ 3 Gifts reflecting

This one made me smile an laugh when I read this one this morning. As reflecting is something I have been doing the last few days.
1) One of the reflecting moments was when I was speaking with my daughter Nick Racheal Perry and was wondering if I had made the right choices many years ago. It was some reflection. Of course not one that can be changed. But......I know I made the right one for me at the time. Even if it didn't feel like it to some of my family that I love so very much.
2) Reflection and time of sharing during prayer time when I was getting my hair done today. Melody is quite a lady and quite a prayer warrior. I was surely blessed and opened up in ways I never thought I would with someone I didn't know that well. It was God! Good reflection.
3) My evening drive as I was reflecting on recent decisions and choices I have been making.
Do you do a lot of reflecting? What are your reflecting gifts?

24~ 3 Fragile gifts
1) MY ankle is one as I climb up on step ladders today; it was a little hairy a few times. But...I got done what needed done
2) My attitude towards this apartment complex. But.....am very grateful for my home
3) My temper can be very fragile at times
This was a very tough one to come up with three; what about you? Can you come up with three fragile gifts?

25~ A gift cloth, steel, wood
1) My nice clean towels that are washed folded for the next adventure in the salon. So I would say that is my cloth gift so I don't have to worry about them this w
eekend.

2) The steel pans that I cooked my diner in this evening.
3) The wood coffee table that I write my bills and rest my ankle on. It is a beautiful coffee table my mom gave me.

26~ 3 gifts moving
Laughing.........this should be interesting
1) My car as it gets me to points A and B and all those in between
2) My clients today. As they needed so much help moving that I even needed help moving them. It would have made great Keystone cop movie with the laughter as we were moving all of them in my small salon from one chair to another.
3) The remote control that travels from my hand to hubby's and back again as we fight over the volume of the TV. (Laughing) Or what we are watching! :)

27~ 3 gifts "Ugly beautiful"

Not sure after today if I can do this one.......But I can and will somehow. It was so beautiful and I cannot think of anything ugly beautiful....But here goes.
1) So one of the ugly beautiful is some of the cars at the car show today. Some where ugly made beautiful.
2) The horse patrol cleaning up after the horse's in the parade making the streets nice and clean free from the horse manure. No more ugly! beautifying the streets.
3) When it started raining in Cascade Locks it was ugly to see the rain; but it had a wonderful beauty to it. Soft gray sky's with raindrops falling.
Yes today was a beautiful day!

28~ 3 Gifts orange
Sometimes this challenge amazes me with the items we must come up with. Love it though! It really helps me be more thankful even with odd things. Orange isn't even one of my favorite colors even. (Laughing as I'm trying to figure this one out!)
1) The tube my night emollient cream is in! Love my cream ♥
2) The color of some of the app icons on my phone that I enjoy
3) The color of The New American Bible Saint Joseph Edition; that I have had for over twenty years. I must love it♥ it is near my bed. Along with several other editions and translations of the word of God! I must have like four bibles next to my bed that I can count from where I'm sitting. :)

Playdates With God~ Spring gifts/surprises & April Joy Dare

Spring gifts/surprises

Day 15~ Spring gifts/surprises are strange phone calls qualify? I don't know..but I say it must be a surprise for me and for them when I say "No thank you!" "Loss my number." Hot showers with wonderful body scrubs. A phone call from Mary McCormick Loomis inviting me to lunch and a wonderful afternoon of just catching up. So much fun! Lots of laughter! Standing in a very long line for over an hour was a huge surprise! But... Mary made it enjoyable. Getting baking done well Mary stood in line at the Post Office. Double lines killing two errands at once. Blessings indeed! Some very yummy chicken wings for dinner that Mary sent home for us to have. Thank you so very much! Easy dinner and clean up! SWEET! It has been a day full of many surprises! Sadly many not so good! May the Lord be with all those in Boston! I'm thankful I can lift prayers up to our Father in heaven as this country yet faces another act of violence against the American people. God be with them all and all of us in Jesus name Amen!

Day 16~ Spring gifts/surprises gift and surprise surely was how smoothly my day went today! Thank you Lord! Thank you all for the prayers I'm positive each one helped the day go smoother. For the wonderful surprise visit of Shy the dog that came to the salon to say hello today. What fun! Lunch with Mary McCormick Loomis and John again today! Thank you so much what fun! Loved it! The perm I did on Norma today; it was wonderful getting to know her and listening to her stories. WOW! She is a living history book! We miss out on so much when we don't sit and listen to the stories of our older family members. So happy to have the job I have. The drive home was lovely today. Getting over to the new neighborhood Walmart grocery store. Very nice it was too! Getting my towels done for Thursday! The call from Shari Whitlock letting me know Jan Flynn is doing well. Praise the Lord! May the Lord continue to heal her speedily. Sitting and resting.

Day 17~ Spring gifts/surprises a beautiful drive down the Columbia Gorge with hubby. A stop at my favorite place Multnomah Falls, then into Cascade Locks to Char Burger for a late lunch. It was a beautiful day. Enjoyed the beauty and the sunshine today! Looking forward to short hikes soon. I will need a walking stick.. Lots of photos with cell phone. Need to learn to us new camera. Getting some more towels for salon. Just too many gifts and blessings along the way today. And a wonderful surprise and gift found in my mail box from Carol Miller; from a wonderful trip taken last year with her and Sally Mazza. Great trip and wonderful memories with beautiful photos sent on a CD. Thank you with much love! WOW! What a surprise that was. Love you! ♥ God's gifts and surprises are endless when we slow down and stop and enjoy the views and moments we are blessed with.
What gifts and surprises did you find today and enjoy?

Day 18~ Spring gifts/surprises WOW! Full day of beautiful ladies. Many more than I had thought! Surprise was paying 2.50 for a tea bag and hot water. The lesson to pack my own tea bags. Enjoyed a lovely lunch all the same away from the salon. Getting my salon towels done for next week. YEA! Coming home to hubby and a nice home cooked meal He served me. Sweetness.! Hot shower total gift! Watching the Boston Bruins National Anthem when everyone stood and sang. Amazing!

Day 19~ Spring gifts/surprises finding yet another note on my door from complex. Not one I like but it does push me hard to find something for a change. I quiet day at the salon today. Putting smiles on each one that came in. A note to one of the sons to help take pressure off one of the ladies. She has been feeling out of sorts. Solved problem. Arriving at bank and no line to stand in. Always a good surprise especial on a Friday. Coming home and sitting down to rest and end up sleeping for awhile. I surely must have been tried. Nice surprise and gift to me. Dinner out with hubby at Chinese Happiness. Enough for lunch tomorrow.

Day 20~ Spring gifts/surprises of the day have been getting a little of my to do list done. Things out to the garage. More bills paid. These are always wonderful gifts. Opening the house for some fresh air. Can hardly wait for the week ahead; my door maybe open a lot for the fresh air and good weather ahead. Hubby coming home for lunch and taking out yet more garbage. This is a surprise and blessing both. How long it takes sometimes to get moving on some projects is always a surprise. The surprising things one finds in the refrigerator when cleaning out! LOL Always interesting! Getting dinner cooked early this evening.

Day 21~ Spring gifts/surprises Goodness everyday is full of endless surprises and gifts if we only slow down and enjoy the moment we are in as we will never pass through this time again. Morning coffee awaiting me when I awoke this morning. That is the sweets thing to find in the morning. Long wonderful conversations with your oldest and dearest friends in the world. I love you Sally Mazza thank you for the laughs today and just being you and being there. That is the best! Making a decision to go the the bible study potluck this evening. I had so much fun and enjoyed myself so very much. We played some fun games and got to know each other. Truly a wonderful gift. Text from my daughter Amber Webber and her conversation on the phone as well. She reminds me of me when I was her age. She always delights me even when I wonder why! Thank you for your spirit of life Amber and the joy you bring with it. Coming home and finding out I have some MK orders. Then surprisingly I come into my room and do some work and organizing. Which is always needed in my room. Watching the Sunday night movie "Remember Sunday". It has been an amazing day of relaxing and enjoying the moments I have had today.
What about you?

April Joy Dare:

15~ A gift in a bag, In a box, In a book
Hmmmm..........I'm thinking I may have some trouble with this one today. Thinking cap is on. I know I can do the bag many times over. The good book is always filled with gifts..not to hard. But the box? YIKES!

1) My first thought for the bag was the hamburger and fries in the bag at Five Brother's today. But then....I think about the chicken wings in the bag that Mary McCormick Loomis blessed us with for dinner tonight. I have other ones too. But must move on to number two.
2) I think in a box would be my new Mary Kay Spring colors that I pulled for myself to wear. Which I did today. Not all of them...but the ones that went with what I was wearing. Loving the new Spring color line.
3) That the Lord thee God is my provider found in the bible over and over again. A wonderful gift and promise. I love you Lord thank you!

16~ 3 Hard eucharisteos
This will be hard too! As I thought today went very well!
1) I think the adjust to getting to know a system and how things work on a new job is always hard. But it is a huge blessing too. So I'm thinking just learning and adjusting to the new salon and learning how everything works there.
2) I think sometimes going to the grocery store is hard. Because we need to go and get groceries we don't always want to pay the amount at the register. But...are blessed when we do and then we have food once again for another week. :)
3) Sometimes it is hard to just relax and let God do the work He needs to after a long day of work and driving in traffic. So just relaxing sometimes is hard. Though it is a huge blessing when we do!

17~ 3 Gifts woven together
So every morning I check to see what I'm looking for in the day. You know it is never easy to figure out how this will turn out. I know this one will be interesting.
1) I love the way the Lord weaved my day together today. As I slept in and then showered and shine for a beautiful drive down the Gorge with hubby and a late lunch. Some of my favorite places I visited today. Lovely how the Lord weaved it all together.
2) How we started the drive out on the old scenic hwy then had to turn around and go down the freeway as they had the old scenic hwy closed for construction. Made for a very interesting drive and going in a direction we normal don't go.
3) The pictures I took throughout the day. Some of the beauty the Lord blessed us with. Some of the gift if I had money to purchase I would have bought. But.. took photos of them instead. And still get to enjoy them through the photos I took of the day. The beauty He blessed us with and the gifts I couldn't afford to buy...but could hold them in my camera. What a wonderful way to weave so many gifts together all in one.

18~ 3 Gifts inherited
Thinking thinking thinking and ......Hmmm....
1) I do believe that I can count one of the gifts of inheritance the salon with all the wonderful beautiful ladies and gentleman that I know have the honor to care for their hair care on Tuesday's and Thursday's. What a wonderful gift to inherit too.

2) A strange thing not sure its inherited or not. But I seem to hold onto things forever and my mom and grandma did as well. So I think this has surely somehow been passed onto me. It can be good. But when your trying to down size and let go. Not so much.
3) And I say I saved the best for last. All the promises in the word of God. I have an inheritance through Him who first loved me. What could be better than that. Best gift of all!
Blessings

19~ 3 Gifts square
Laughing as I forgot to check this morning for what I was looking for in gifts. Now I really have to go through the day. Square isn't going to be easy at all.
1) The cart I transport my towels in back and forth from the salons. It is of a square nature with wheels that helps me a great deal. A wonderful gift indeed.
2) I have a square white bowl that I really like. Only one of them in the house. I like having my morning hot cereal in it.
3) Squaring up with a bill collector until next month. I did that on the way home from the salon today with one of them. I can hardly wait until it is paid off in full.

20~ A gift stacked, stashed, stilled
My stacked gift could be may in my home and life. To pick one...... well....The many items stacked in the garage that I need to go through once again. Make decision's of what must go and what can stay. Though I do have other stacks that should be focused on first. :)

Stashed gift would be hidden gifts that I have that I forget about in all my stacks. The stashed coins in my piggy bank awaiting yet another trip to the bank to be empty. Adds to a wonderful get away.
Stilled would be my tummy from the growls of being hungry; when I feed it the yummy dinner prepared this evening. Baked chicken, left over fried rice.
Thank you Lord for the provision, of meals and over abundance of grace and goodness in my home. Along with all the many things that I have stacked and stashed, because of your love for me.

21~ 3 Gifts found in Christ
1) The friendships and love found in my brothers and sisters in Christ. The unlimited gifts in each one of them the Lord places in my life. I thank God for each one of you!
2) When we seek knock, and find it will be open to us.
Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."
3) The Lord's grace and glory given us.
Psalm 84:11 "The Lord will give grace and glory;no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly."
