FOR TODAY

Outside my window...

I am thinking...

I am thankful...

In the kitchen...

I am wearing...

I am creating...

I am going...

I am wondering...

I am reading...

I am hoping...

I am looking forward to...

I am learning

Around the house...

I am pondering...

A favorite quote for today...

One of my favorite things...

A few plans for the rest of the week:

A peek into my day...

(add your picture here)

***********************************************************************************************************************

For today....
I will be kind to myself. I will work from home and get some of my business taken care of that I wouldn't get done other wise. I will do some exercise to make me feel more energetic.

Outside my window...
It is gray and gloomy, rainy and wet. As I look in hopes of finding the silver lining and the rainbow of promises.

I am thinking....
It is getting closer to my birthday trip everyday. It would be a good time to get out my luggage and start thinking about packing.

I am Thankful....
That my husband has a job. That we have a home that we can rest our heads at the end of a long day.

In the kitchen.....
A baked caked sits on the counter with a few dishes in the sink waiting to be washed.

I am wearing.....
A black cami with a grey long sleeve pull over, with black velvet pants and tennis shoes; as I still am not wearing any cute shoes as of yet.

I am creating.....
Mmmm....I really haven't been working on any of my crafts lately. Though I do have some needle point I was thinking I need to work on.

I am going.....
To go look at some dansko's (shoe's) and a camera that I'm dreaming about getting

I am wondering......
If I will get called into work today or tomorrow. Needing to get the call to work at least twice a week Four times in a pay period to help meet our basic needs.

I am reading....
A lot of things off the blogs lately. No book in particular expect the word of God.
Need to find and light hearted one to take on the plane.
Gave away most of my books to a friend who was unemployed.
They moved and I never got them back. As I have no contact with them any longer.

I am hoping......
That God will bring in all I need to meet all of my finical responsibilities every month.
That the medical bills will be paid off.
 That I will have work.

I am looking forward....
To my trip to California to see my children and grandchildren.
My daughter bought me a ticket to come visit for my birthday.

I am learning....
To be peaceful and stress free no matter what it looks like.
That when I stay focused on Him and in peace and out of stress all works out better than  I dreamed

Around the house....
Each room is awaiting some housekeeping to freshen up
The kitchen is awaiting the maintenance man to come and finish up the repair work he started yesterday on the light fixture.

I am pondering.....
Whether I should be re-trained for work that I don't have to stand on my feet to do.
Which makes me sad to think about.
Doctor says wait and see.
But....am pondering all the same as this may be a real possibility that I may have to do.

A favorite Quote of the day.....
Jeremiah 29-11
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

One of my favorite things....
Lately one of my favorite things have been my snugly blankets to curl up in when I catch a chill or just to curl up in and watch TV....or ....

A few plans for the rest of the week......
Thursday and Friday to go to work a the two salons and make my ladies and gents feel like a million bucks
To get some creative banking and bill paying done
Some small walks to continue to help with my healing and just exercise

A peek into my day......
Mostly lately just waiting for phone calls to be called into work.
Pray time wit my Father in heaven
Small visits with loved ones on the phone
Light house work and meal preparation.

Update:
Below is two fundraiser links to help with medical bills.
We have no medical insurance to cover medical.
As the weeks have gone by since I have started back to work
The ankle continues to have many issues
The visit with the doctor didn't go as well as I had hoped
On the 3st of January 2013
He has put me on another med
He wants to see how the next three months go
He said I may have arthritis setting in
Not good news at all.
It appears this may not get any better than what it is
So the work I do may not be what I will be able to do
Makes me very very sad.
As I love what I do very much
I am thinking about a second opinion
But that isn't really the reality for me.
So we will go another three months an see what happens.
Then be re-evaluated with more ex-rays
Many prayers need \
As well as the Lord meeting the many needs we have
I have only been working about 16 hours a week
Some weeks even as little as four hours a week.
The bills are coming in as I struggle with each one
The medical bills are the hardest ones.
They really don't like working with you.
I try to explain and
WOW!
But God is faithful!
Praise the Lord!
Some times I wonder
How the money is going to stretch
As the bills come tumbling in.
Thankful for the work!
Through much prayers
God is sustaining us
And through encouragement of some friends they suggested I give these a try.
Though only two people have responded.
God has been faithful in other ways.
Medical bills are piling up.
Just the few that have arrived already are $45,000 plus.
And still coming in.
God is faithful and I trust this is alp going to be paid in full;
and every need meet through Him
Thank you!

The Simply Woman's Daybook

The Simply Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY~

I would like to be able to get to the shower and enjoy the water running down my backside.
Looking forward to when I can do all this on my own with no help.

Outside my window...

The sun is setting. The cool breeze is blowing. The trees have burnt leafs from the hot Summer heat. Grass longing for a long drink of water; to bring back the beauty of the lush green. The stillness of the late Summer evening as it quietly slips into another day.

I am thinking...

How frustrated and tried I am of just laying here on the couch. How much I'm looking forward to be able to learn to walk all over again.

I am thankful...

For everyone who has come and helped during my recovery. For all the prayers, love, and encouragement that are set my way. For the meals that are made, the amazing unexpected  gifts that have made my life so much easier. My list of thanks is endless.

From the learning rooms...(if this applies)

WOW!
I seem to be learning lots during this process of healing and just being still.
That God has amazing gifts for us. They come where we least expect them. That we truly do need one another. That life is much easier when you have someone that cares to come alongside of you and hold your hand.

In the kitchen...

Well.... my kitchen is a pretty amazing place these days. Today it was a place full of color. It was where I got to have my hair colored. Yea!
But this evening it was a place where hubby warmed the dinner that was brought over for us by Penny!
Though it is also a room that is in need of much cleaning.
As much as hubby tries the house is in need of much attention since I have been down.
Especial the kitchen, the floors are in great need of a good scrubbing and mopping.

I am wearing...

My pink night shirt along with my special sock for my ankle and then a little one knit booty sock.

I am creating...

I really haven't been working on any thing creative at this time. Expect if you call my bog creative. I was hoping to find some of my needle point and work on it. I hoping to have hubby find it in my room so that I might work on my needle crafts while I'm laid up.

I am going...

To get over to the hospital this week to give them my finical papers to help with all the medical expenses. Praying for a huge miracle regarding my bills and the money needed for my household expense's as well. God is more than able.

I am wondering...

How hard it is going to be to learn to walk on this foot once again when given the okay.

I am reading...

My bible!
And some awesome blogs!

I am hoping...

That one of my friends will be able to come sty with me for a week when my hubby goes to California for a week.

I am looking forward to...

To going to see the doctor next week to see how I am doing. What the next step is into my recovery to walking once again. Getting more of my life back and on track to where it was before I broke my ankle.

I am hearing...

My Hancho bird fluttering her wings.
The sitcom "Everyone Loves Raymond" on TV.
The fans blowing and cooling the house off as it circulates the air.
My hubby's hone dinging in a text from a friend.
Me banging on the keyboard of the computer.

Around the house...

You can find lots of neglect from me being down. Floors needing a good vacuum or scrubbing. Dusting and just everyday household needs,
The living room looking like a nursing home with all the things that I require at arms reach.
Wheelchair, walker, pillows piled high to rest my leg upon.
Water bottles and meds to mention just a few things around the couch to make my life more pleasant.

I am praying ...

For two friends with cancer and their complete healing in Jesus name.
For my friend's hubby who just had a biopsy today.
For my three daughters and their various needs for their families.
For the safe return of my sister as she travels home from Kabul this coming week.
For each person that has helped me that the Lord bless them a hundred fold.
For my continued healing and for my finical needs to be meet. That the 40,000 + medical bill be paid off in full.
Trusting the Lord will work out each detail and that all will be meet in Him.

Below is the fundraisers I was lead by the Lord to start.

Left Ankle With Staples

I am pondering...

How exciting it will be when I can do the things I once did with great ease.

A favorite quote for today...

Which is actual my new motto right NOW!
As I go through this recovery!

One of my favorite things...

Is going on rides with my girlfriend Mary and having lunch out.
Taking pictures of my daily adventures.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

To continue to rest and do as the doctor says. Hoping to get over to the hospital and talk with finical aid. Visits with friends that bring good cheer.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Time With Friends
John & I
NIV

Psalm 42:8

“By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.”

John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
John 15:12-14 (in Context) John 15 (Whole Chapter)

A peek into my day...

Today I was awake early to visit with hubby before he leaves for work.
He sets up my water and snacks that I will need until he comes home for lunch.
Today I got my hair colored by a friend who dropped by.
She brought lunch and we caught up on what is happening in her life and mine.
Then back to resting and propping my leg up.
Hubby came home fixed me a meal.
Then I was ready for my shower that is always an epic event lately.
My life is rather mundane and boring at the moment.
But I do try to get some excitement in some how.
I truly look forward to visit and phone calls from friends. It breaks the day up.

The Simply Woman's Daybook

The Simply Woman's Daybook
http://thesimplewomansdaybook.blogspot.com/

FOR TODAY~

I would like to be able to make it to the ladies room by myself. And to be able to do some of my own grooming to make me feel more like me.

Outside my window...

The sun is shining brightly as a light Summer evening breeze blows the hot humidity air around. Shadows swiping the common area where the green lush grass grows.

I am thinking...

That listening to what the doctor says and obeying what he says is best for the long term. So... for the sort term to be able to achieve the long term result it is worth the time that I'm laid up in recovery.

I am thankful...

The skills and talents of the doctor and all those helping me in total recover so I might be able to walk again soon.

From the learning rooms...(if this applies)

Awweee...
I seem to have many learning rooms at this time in my life as I am in recovery.
Learning to ask for help is huge for me. So learning to ask for help when I need it and letting those around me know what I need and not feel bad about. Because they don't know what I need unless I ask.
This isn't easy for me.
BIG Learning experience for me.

In the kitchen...

Hubby preparing the dinner that was brought over for us.
Warming a plate of teriyaki chicken, salad, scalloped potatoes, and home made bread.
YUM!

I am wearing...

A pair of jean Capri's that is easily pulled over my legs. That have embroidery across the hem and some sparkle; with a tank-top that is multi colored v-neck.
My space boot on left foot.
My tennis shoe and a white sock on the right.

I am creating...

At this moment the only thing I seem to be creative about is my blog. It has been a long time since I blogged. Just getting back into it since my beautiful CK girl passed. Being laid up and in recovery seemed the perfect time to come back and create and write.

I am going...

On short little trips nothing terrible exciting. But when you have been in bed for two weeks;
The doctors and other little activities seem rather thrilling. As I have energy I try to do something to make the days go by. Later this week I will get to go the bank. Nothing exciting, just little mundane everyday activities; which seem very exciting these days.

I am wondering...

Why this accident happened to me.
What are the lessons I am to learn.
How long before I have my life back and back to normal.

I am reading...

The bible
The only book that breathes life and healing.
Which is what I need right now.
Totally soaking up the word and hanging on to each life breathing word as it ministers to me body and soul.

I am hoping...

This time will pass quickly and I will only remember this as a blip in the road of life. One that will be able to encourage and up lift others that have huge life changing events happen o them. That these events as tough as they are are only a blip in our story. That Victory will come!

I am looking forward to...

To when I will have my life back to normal.
To going to breakfast next Monday with some friends for one of my short adventures.

I am hearing...

My bird Hancho squawking.
The commercial on the TV set
Hubby breathing in the cool air of the fans
The fans humming as they cool off the living room
Me banging on the computer keys

Around the house...

There is so much that needs to be done since I have been down.
The laundry is piling up.
Floors need to be vacuumed
Toilets cleaned
To mention a few.
Thanking God for the help that will be coming here later this week to make is shine once again.

I am praying ...

For two people I personally know that are fighting cancer. One who is in the hospital the other who is a triple amputee.
Believing for their total and complete healing in our Lord Jesus.
I'm praying for my daughter Heather who needs several items for her new home. One a refrigerator and dryer to mention a few. For work to come in for her to meet all of her expenses for her and the children to live.
For my daughter Amber and her children who need a home. She also needs a car to get back and forth from work. As well as for her health.  So, many many needs. God knows each one.
They both have four children each.
For my daughter Racheal and her family and her unspoken prayer request.
For hubby and I as we apply for financial aid for medical bills.
And for funds to come in to meet our many needs now that I am not working.
There is no temporary disability in the state of Oregon so totally

depending on God to bring it in somehow.

I am pondering...

All the different ways I can occupy myself while I'm laid up for the next four months until I am released to go to work once again.

A favorite quote for today...

I can do all thing through Jesus Christ who strengthens me.

One of my favorite things...

Is day dreaming lately of all that I will be able to do soon.
I dream of far away places in the sun.
Dreaming of taking hikes in the mid Fall.
Dreaming of where the Lord is taking me on this journey.
So many dreams.
So dreaming right now helps me through each day.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

Is to continue to rest and do as the doctor says.
A little journey to the bank and post office to mail out a Mary Kay order
Putting together a shopping list for those who will be shopping for me.
Nothing to thrilling as life in bed is rather dull.
Most defiantly a trip to the tub.
Which can be an epic event.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

After The Staples Where Removed

NKJV

2 Timothy 2:3

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

1 John 5:4

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith.

A peek into my day...

Today was a full active day.  A visit to the doctor.
Lunch out to celebrate a good report
Stopping my my salon and sending out closing bills and letting clients and families know it won't be until the end of November before I can maybe return back to work.
Then home and resting after the full events of the day
