Here we are at another end of Lent season. I have grown in many ways once again. I would like to thank you all for coming along on the journey with me. It is always amazing to see the things the Lord shares and reveals to u. Just because the season has end, please don't let this be the end of your walk and discovery with Him. He lives so we might live in Him.

Today was filled with many blessings. I had a full day. Did my shopping for John. Got that taken care of and out of the way. Refrigerator is full once again. Then home to full mine as well. Then off to make a Mary Kay deliver! it was  nice visit as well with a wonderful young lady and friend. Then back home to grap my hair appliances and get going to get a beautiful young lady ready for her Junior prom. What a beautiful young lady sh is too. Her hair turned out wonderful! Then home yet for another haircut in the community where I live. Finished up and headed to church where the Lord spoke beautiful a always to my heart. It was a very full day indeed.

2. Helped make a very beautiful young lady ready for her Junior Prom
3. Being told how great I look and how much they love my hair color and style

Goodness I have fall behind due to so much activity getting ready for this wonderful day. I have each one half started so I will post them as I finish them up so then i will have this completed. It seems things are picking up a bit. Yea! Friday was a full day of wonderful activities getting the ladies ready. I didn't have a s many as I thought but that is okay! They had lots of activities going on at the home. It was wonderful to have those that did come in. They all left looking like a million plus. I was then treated to lunch and I so enjoyed that so very much. Light dinner and fall asleep early on the couch. Don't even remember what time it was. That is a good thing. That is why this post didn't make it up. Many blessings

Lent Season ~ Thankful List/Verse With Prayer: Day 44

Early raise today! Had a full plate! Three different jobs to head out too. Thank you Jesus for the work of my hands and that everything I set my hands to shall prosper. I feel like I got lots accomplished too. That is such a good feeling. I did both care giving jobs today. I then went over to the adult foster care and did two hair appointments. Was hoping for three and thankful for the two. They looked so beautiful when I was done. Then home to take care of a few things then I meet up with some friends from school. Mary is doing such a wonderful job with this class union for the The Dalles High. She is keeping it so very affordable for everyone too. Which is GREAT! She treated me to soup and tots. Nice little evening snack. Hubby works late; not even sure I'm going to cook dinner for him this evening. Can you believe we are already on Holy Thursday! My goodness this year is flying by and so is this season of Lent.

Lent Season ~ Thankful List/Verse With Prayer: Day 43

Hump day Wednesday! Half the week down and only half to go. Then here comes the weekend. I love the weekends! This weekend being Easter weekend is even more special. I was to go to moms with my sister. But.... those plans have changed. I'm sad. But... I am glad to be home with hubby, as he wasn't going to be able to go. So I will cook a nice meal for the two of us here for Easter. I will check with my neighbor Pat and see what service she will be attending so I might be able to go to service with her. Today was a cool day! The sun tried breaking out late afternoon early evening. Small signs of Spring coming forth. Hubby works the late shift tonight. I get very lonely when he works these shifts. I made dinner already. Baked some chicken in the oven with red potatoes and green peppers. Was a very yummy dish. Now I seem to be craving some sweets. Natural because I shouldn't have any. Thinking a trip for some ice cream sounds good.

Once again I have had a day the Lord arranged and re-planned for me. It is funny how I plan my day and get up to head out to do my work, then He will stitch it up and re-arrange it to suit His wondrous needs. I'm so happy that I have a job that is flexible like that; so that He can re-arrange and design it to suit His very needs and mine as well. Thank you Lord. I did get a whole lot done though. It is amazing what I did get done even though I didn't get things done that I wanted too. Nor the job that I wanted to go to work at this morning. He is faithful and will fix that to meet both our needs as well. Praise God! That He knows our needs before we even ask.  When I finished this afternoon I was feeling strangely tried. Wasn't even able to keep my eyes open. I don't think tooth picks would have even helped. Fall asleep for an afternoon nap today. Love those. It was another wet and rainy day here in the Pacific North West. I'm ready for the sunshine! Mom called me today and left me a list of things she wants me to do for her when I'm there this weekend for Easter with my baby sister. Today was fourteen years ago my hubby said goodbye to his mom. It doesn't seem that long ago that we said goodbye. I know she smiles down upon us and that she is in the presence of the Lord. We miss you mom.

For some reason I think I have my count wrong or there are just more than forty days of Lent this year. I should look this up. From Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday should be forty days. But for some reason my number count is goofy! Oh well! I will figure it out. I have been enjoying these post anyways.
So Gym and enjoying the sunshine today before the rain arrives again tomorrow. It is even a lovely evening. It wasn't the day I planned as once again God re-designed my day. I had some gym time. House cleaning. Walks in the sunshine. Banking. Just kind of a laid back kind of a day.

This is the day the Lord has made ans we shall rejoice!

I was down in the The Dalles with my sister and her new roommate.

We finished up taxes today! WHOA!Sad thing we pay in huge and amounts and get like nothing back. 

But yet I will rejoice I'm not paying. Whoa!

Then I made my bed and cleaned up.

Packed up the car with all my laundry and hair equipment.

It was time to head home.

The drive home was extremely stormy!

Hydro planing with water sitting on the freeway. What fun!

So glad I got home safely!

Thank you Jesus!

When arrived home put away all my belongs.

Then delivered a set of taxes to my neighbor; that my sister did for them.

Then on to getting my haircut, grocery shopping.

Pizza with hubby.

Then a ladies night out.

What a blessing.

New day dawning! Yep! It is the weekend! I love the weekends. Headed down to my sisters. Will do a perm and get taxes done. What could be better. 

The drive down was beautiful as always. I love the mist of the low laying clouds that give such mystic beauty to the mountain sides. When I arrived we headed over to my sisters girlfriends house for an early Easter event. We had a egg hunt and a wonderful meal. It was lovely. 

I got to play with baby goats! What fun!

I went down memory lane with Davin.

His dad was my Science teacher when I was a kid. I remember having to di- sect a frog in his class. 

Then back to sisters. then the perm. We also started on the Taxes. Yea!

Lent Season ~ Thankful List/Verse With Prayer: Day 38

Its Friday! And no we didn't get any sunshine! I had to bring my sunshine smiles along today to pass out to those in need, as well to all those who came across my path today. Smiles by the bucket full. The salon was popping early today. It is always nice to have a full and busy morning. It tapers off fast. By about eleven things slow down quit a bit. I look forward to when the business will pick up once again. I have been looking for other jobs. It seems a bit harder than when I was younger. You would think experience would be in my favor. I need to pack up lost of goodies for the weekend to head to go do taxes as my sisters home this weekend. I will be so glad to have that behind me. Yea! I am going to be doing a perm while I'm there. That is a nice extra bonus. Should be fun! I really don't know what I'm doing for dinner tonight. Left overs....? Who knows.

Lent Season ~ Thankful List/Verse With Prayer: Day 37

I was up early today as I wanted to call and see if there was any news on my daughter. I thank God He took good care of her and had good nurses and doctors providing good care for her. Thankful her sister never left her side. I'm so happy she is home and glad to hear that they are still searching for answers and running more test. I just pray she follows through. As she has four beautiful children that need her. Then after my morning call to California I got ready for the day. I was going to Vancouver, Washington for haircuts this morning. I was happy to see my friends. Darn if I didn't get Dan's hair a bit short. But it looked nice. Thank you Lord for the work of my hands today. Then  I stopped to get some things at Target today. That was a fun little stop. I spent my gift card I got for my birthday. Which is funny! Today is hubby's birthday. Happy Birthday honey! So I spent my birthday money today on his birthday. No! I didn't spend it on him. I got new pants and a blouse. Then home to finish cooking him a wonderful home cooked dinner. I made pot roast, twice baked potato and green beans with a chocolate swirl cake. Still waiting for him to arrive home to celebrate the special day the Lord blessed us with him. It has been a very wet, stormy rainy day. Winds are high as well whipping around. The ground is soggy and you slush through the grass. Kids have to love that!

So I had all the intentions of staying on top of my blog and the Lent season this week. Then yesterday went all haywire. It started off even a bit interesting. My two older girls were in a bit of a struggle an calling and talking with me. I did get to the gym which I'm so thankful for. I was enjoying the break in the rain. I then got phone call from Sacramento that my middle daughter Amber was in the hospital. Needless to say; I was useless after that. Was hard for me to focus. All I wanted to do is hijack a plane and get myself down there to be with her. Thank God she is okay! Her sister Heather never left her side. Sisters love is so special. Hubby and just relaxed and waited near the phone. Finally I went to bed realizing I wouldn't know anything until today.

No sunshine for us again today. Only the rain of tears of the love the Lord sheds for us. Maybe soon I will see the sun. Up early for work today! Though I should always be prepared for the Lord to switch it up. Which is exactly what He did. I felt like I got  a lot done though. I worked for both John and Randi today. Each with their own special needs. Mostly i just love both of them. I as well got some of my own errands and running around done as well. That is always a good feeling. Got some bills paid! YEA! One day I will be debt free. Which is my goal. When I came home today I did a little computer fixing for hubby. He needed the printer and it needed some ink . So got that set up for him. Feeling really drug-out today. I could have taken a nap and slept through the rest of the day. But... needed to fix out yummy dinner. I made us stuffed peppers. They turned out great1 Now we are watching the eliminations of Dancing with the stars. Love this show.

Lent Season ~ Thankful List/Verse With Prayer: Day 34

As I started my day today. I started with a good work out at the gym. I like getting there and getting it over with. No messing around for me. Get what I like out of the way. Though I do enjoy the company and the support of my girlfriends awesome! Home I came to get ready for the rest of the day. I had a haircut at one of the Adult Foster Care homes I use to go into regularly and do hair. That was great as I made arrangements to go back next week and do hair for the Easter weekend for three of the clients there. So I have some more work to do. YEA! Then home and I go the mail and wrote out some bills. They seem to be rolling in rather quickly. It seems I just paid them. Then here they come again! Some walks in the beautiful outdoors and fresh air and sunshine. Had to lap it up well I could. Rain is coming and will be here for at least a solid week. YUK! Then hubby BBQ once again for us. He made chicken and rice with corn. Yummy! So glad I have a hubby that enjoys doing these things for me. We will watch our favorite shows together this evening. "Dancing With The Stars" then "Castle". Goodnight of TV for us.

Lent Season ~ Thankful List/Verse With Prayer: Day 33

Why is it when you want to sleep in; you cannot? Your wide awake at the crack of dawn ready to start the day. That is what happened to me today. I guess that is a good thing. I get lots done that way. But I so was looking forward to sleeping in. This afternoon I got together with one of my brides that I will be doing hair and make up for. Oh!She is so beautiful!We had a great time. Pinned several styles and came up with one that she really liked. I love doing brides. They are so happy and radiant. I had to go work for John late afternoon early evening. Then home to cook dinner for hubby. No sun today. It was sad!I was so looking for my little bright ball of yellow fire. No where to be found. Either in hiding or has been kidnapped once again.

Up early on a Saturday!Totally committed to exercise. Oh!I so must be crazy! More of that later.

Came home showered and shine to meet up with Mary and other classmates of the The Dalles High. Helping her to plan the 35 class reunion. OH that is a job. She has done huge amounts of awesome work to put this together. Great idea of a camping weekend. WOW!This is different and so much fun it will be too. Had lunch at the Olive Garden. They have the best soup and salad!Thank you Mary for Lunch. Then home where I started shredding paper. Found this to be rather therapeutic. Then I jammed up the shredder. BUMMER!Had to get that fixed. Throw out old magazines. Just starting on the Spring cleaning. Oh that feels good too. When hubby got home we went for Chinese dinner. That was so nice. Then I decided I would work on computer and get it running better. Well.......That didn't go so well. I had to call the Geek Squad and get help. Now we are on the right track. So it is catch up on blog time once again.

 Yes! I am playing catch up once again. Yesterday was a long day. It was a strange one as well. As it started off not on such a wonderful note. I went to work as always. But one of the caregivers asked which Dorothy was I expecting. I said I don't recall her last name; but she is the one with the oxygen tank. Oh! Honey! She passed away this morning. So a goodbye to my beautiful client Dorothy. What a joy she brought to me every Friday morning. Thank you Lord for bringing her into my life and the salon. She always prayed for me. I had the wonderful honor last month of helping her surprise her daughter. I'm so glad I was able to do that for her. One of her daughters last precious treasured gifts from her mom. I thank God that I was able to help her do that for her daughter. Dorothy, has a new birthday! Been set free from the oxygen tank, and breathing and is the the presence of our Father in glory! I pray the Lord hold her family and that they feel His precious peace about them as they say their last goodbyes to this wonderful woman. Thank you Dorothy for the laughter, smiles and prayers of love and encouragement that you bestowed upon me. 

So as the day progressed it got more interesting. I did have a few ladies come in and even a few unexpected drop in. Over all it was a very good day at the shop. Busy! I did a color and a perm plus several haircuts along with my regular shampoo sets. Everyone left happy. Praise the Lord! I was going to go the bank; but the sun was out. I had other thoughts about doing errands. I wanted to lap up some of that wonderful sunshine. Which is exactly what I did. I sat and enjoyed the sunshine. It was wonderful!. I am so ready to bask in the sun. Hubby took us out for ice cream!Yummy!

Lent Season ~ Thankful List/Verse With Prayer: Day 30

Again I had the day planned out. But between weather changing how the morning started due to the snow. Then as the day tick by the day was continually switched around. Once again designed by God. I may have it planned and laid out the way I think it should go. Then whoop!there it goes in another direction. Which works out perfectly. Its just being willing to go with the flow and lead of the Lord. Then even when its not going according to the way you like at lest you know it is going smoothly and designed perfectly for the events of the day; because you followed His perfect design and leading. Hubby still isn't feeling up to par. Irritable is somewhat of an understatement. Praying he is feeling well soon. The sun popped out this afternoon!Yea! So wonderful to see that beautiful gold ball of fire. Though it is very chilly tonight. They say no more snow. We....will see! I'm doing a load of laundry this evening. Crazy!I never do laundry this late at night. But....hubby wanted something washed. The things we will do. I don't know if any of you are watching the new show "Missing"with Ashley Judd. WOW! What a great show. Leaves you in suspense lots of espionage.
