Saturday Centus~ Dear John

Use these two words to start a letter.
 "DEAR JOHN,"

Number of words:  102 total (including the two words of the prompt)

Style of writing: Letter format

Additional Pictures: Any

Dear John,

I, cannot continue this affair.
You, see everything as one sided.
It is always about you and your needs.
There are two people in this relationship.
One who is never getting their needs meet!
So, as I see it, it is time for one of us to move on.
Since, you have chose to stay;
I'm packing my bags and leaving for greener pasture.
Where I care enough about me to find someone who does as well.
It has been fun!
Slamming the door and not looking back!
Moving on!
To happier places!
Signed
Sadly Mis-guided Relationship

Have you ever received a Dear John letter?

Below are two fundraiser links to help with medical bills.
We have no medical insurance to cover medical.
As the weeks have gone by since I have started back to work
The ankle continues to have many issues
The cost of second opinion is much more than I realized
Doctor has discounted my pain meds
Many issues
Needing God's direction
With many prayers
I feel God is showing us
The direction to go.
God is faithful and I trust this is going to be paid in full;
and every need meet through Him
Thank you!

Saturday Centus~ "Thank you Beryl!"

The prompt this week is:   "Thank you Beryl!"
Number of words:  103.   (including the three words of the prompt)

Style of writing: Any
Additional Pictures: Any

This weeks challenge is extremely tough.
It is a prompt that is in honor of this person I know nothing about.
I wanted to do this prompt even though it is tough.
I wanted to give honor to this woman who is so loved by her family.
I pray that I do her justice.

Her name is as brilliant
As the stones which she was named after
Beryl
A rare gem
She was tough
She had to be
A mom
A wife in war time
It wasn't easy
But
She made the best of it
She lead her children by example
She didn't hide from difficulties
The war wasn't easy on her
Beryl had to make tough decision's
As many did in those day's
Many admired her
She never shrinked from responsibility
She always had a smile
Even when life was handing her lemons
Her smile was
For all who came across her path
Never did she shy away
A stranger she didn't know
 If in need
She was the first to help
She always thought
If it wasn't for the kindness of others
This could have been me
Yes
Times were tough
But Beryl was tougher
She lead by example
"Thank you Beryl!"

Well I wet well over the limit. Not sad I did.

Do you like to write about things you know or don't know?

Saturday Centus~ Sleep Like A Baby

Happy Saturday

The prompt this week is:   "Without you around, I sleep like a baby"
Number of words:  108.   (including the five words of the prompt)

Style of writing: Any

Additional Pictures: Any

"Without you around, I sleep like a baby."
The days of waking to your cries
Long gone
No more rocking
No more long nights
Just memories
Just one more day
I would give to rock you
Like a baby
Just one more day
Of lullaby's
Cherished memories
Are all I have
As you now
Are a mom
With sleepless nights
As you rock your baby
Longing for
Sleep like a baby!
All to soon
To be a memory
As you
Turn around
You will too
Be sleeping like a baby!
With cherished memories
Longing for just one more
Sleepless night of rocking
Sleeping like a baby

~Beth~

Do you miss the days of rocking your baby's?

We have no medical insurance to cover medical.
As the weeks have gone by sine I have started back to work
The ankle continues to have many issues
I am thinking about a second opinion
But that isn't really the reality for me.
So hoping come the end of the month the doctor will have some answers.
I have only been working about 16 hours a week
Some weeks even as little as four hours a week.
The bills are coming in as I struggle with each one
The medical bills are the hardest ones.
They really don't like working with you.
I try to explain and
WOW!
But God is faithful!

Praise the Lord!

Received our first pay check
It doesn't stretch to far either.
The bills come tumbling in.
Thankful for the work!
Through much prayers
And through encouragement of some friends they suggested I give these a try.
Though only two people have responded.
God has been faithful in other ways.
Medical bills are piling up.
Just the few that have arrived already are near $30,000 plus.
And still coming in.
God is faithful and I trust this is alp going to be paid in full;
and every need meet through Him
Thank you!

Saturday Centus~ Punxsutawney Phil

The prompt this week is this question.   What happens to PunxsutawneyPhil when he retires?
Number of words:  100.   You do NOT have to include the words of the question in your story.

Style of writing: Any

Additional Pictures: Any

Fact or fiction
Punxsutawney Phil
Comes out every
February 2nd
Without fail
For Groundhog day
Prediction is his game
Retirement?
NEVER!
Will I see my shadow?
Yes or No?
I am not
A meteorologist
But ....
But many
Follow my prediction
From year to year
Will Spring come
Or Six more weeks of Winter?
Only my shadow knows
For sure
Retirement?
Seems so
Outdated
I play all year round
And come out
On groundhog day
To my surprise
Many come to
See if I have
Seen my shadow
So to my
Dismay
Retirement
May never come
Just passed on
From one generation
To another
As I pass the torch on

~Beth~

Do you like to know whether the Punxsutawney Phil (The groundhog) sees his shadow?

Doctor Visit
1-30-2013
Update:
Below is two fundraiser links to help with medical bills.
We have no medical insurance to cover medical.
As the weeks have gone by since I have started back to work
The ankle continues to have many issues
The visit with the doctor didn't go as well as I had hoped
On the 3st of January 2013
He has put me on another med
He wants to see how the next three months go
He said I may have arthritis setting in
Not good news at all.
It appears this may not get any better than what it is
So the work I do may not be what I will be able to do
Makes me very very sad.
As I love what I do very much
I am thinking about a second opinion
But that isn't really the reality for me.
So we will go another three months an see what happens.
Then be re-evaluated with more ex-rays
Many prayers need \
As well as the Lord meeting the many needs we have
I have only been working about 16 hours a week
Some weeks even as little as four hours a week.
The bills are coming in as I struggle with each one
The medical bills are the hardest ones.
They really don't like working with you.
I try to explain and
WOW!
But God is faithful!
Praise the Lord!
Some times I wonder
How the money is going to stretch
As the bills come tumbling in.
Thankful for the work!
Through much prayers
God is sustaining us
And through encouragement of some friends they suggested I give these a try.
Though only two people have responded.
God has been faithful in other ways.
Medical bills are piling up.
Just the few that have arrived already are near $30,000 plus.
