21 Day Summer Challenge~ Day 15: Summer Blockbuster

 June 24-Day 15: Summer Blockbuster So I usually am not one that pays the big block buster prices at the movie houses.Though I do have some of the blockbuster releases that I do want to see.I usually wait until they come out on DVD then I decide whether I want to make the movie purchase for my movie collection.I'm sure my movie collection has plenty of older blockbuster movies that I would be delight to watch or re-watch again.I am a movie buff!Though I am sad to say I am a bit behind on my movies.I sure have plenty of catching up to do.
So I actually could go back into some of the holiday releases and watch some of those that I truly wanted to see as well.Movie Madness!
Here I come! I will most likely pay the big dollars to go watch the "Pirates of the Caribbean" though at the theater.I have went to the theater house to watch all of them.Just need to take some time to do so.Guess this needs to go onto the "to do list"!Then I will purchase the DVD because I think this is a great movie series. Hubby thought that "Kung Fu Panda" looked like something he would like to see. "So here is a movie I will need to put on the list. Haven't seen the previous "Kung Fu Panda" so maybe I had better watch that one first. "Fast Five" because I think Vin Diesel is hot just like the story line.I need to stay on top of this movie series due to the fact my grandsons like these Fast movies.So being the grandma that is hip; I have to keep up. Car's 2 I heard was a good one from the lovely Gina.Again this is a movie that I think I would have to go back and watch the first cars. Which I do have.It would be a good one to watch with my little guy Brenden.I'm sure he would love this one. Mr. Popper's Penguin's is right up my aisle of comedy and laughter. I think Jim Carrey is hilarious.I do enjoy most of his movies. So there is my Summer line up. How many will I really get to see?Before they are released on DVD ?
This is the 94 dollar question.Or will I hit the stack that I haven't watched?Or will I do the re-run watch of some of my old favorites and classics?
Goodness depends what mood I am in.

CK and I really do enjoy this gate!

 It so reminds me of the secret garden gate.

I do take plenty of photos of the gate.
As it gives me plenty of beauty with the changing of the seasons.

The rhododendrons are so beautiful.

The red just sets the whole scene.

This fur ball was all hutched down in the field where the CK girl and I walk. At first from a distance I thought it might be a rabbit. Boy was I sadly mistaken!

Huge cat.

I was praying CK wouldn't see her because she would start barking and want to chase her.

She spotted me and ran.

What a "Fat Cat" she was.

Glad I got a snap of her.

In this challenge we are to write something in each letter of our name.

I am using my full given birth name which is:

Elizabeth.

So today's first letter in my name is:

"H"

Well today is my last day of this name challenge.

It has been a lot of fun working on the letters of my name.

It truly is amazing what you can write about.

The letter "H" in my name makes me think of the word humble.

I like to think that I am a humble person.

I know I'm very humbled by each and everyone of you who stop here and read my blog and follow me.

When I started this little blog I had no idea how I was going to be blessed.

With wonderful new friends from around the world.

How humbling is that?

With the opportunities to learn and grow in ways I had no idea.

Another very humbling experience.

I am humbled everyday that I go to work an am able to make my ladies look and feel better than when they came in to see me.

I love doing their hair and making them look more beautiful than the Lord has already made them.

Or better stated enhancing the beauty the Lord has blessed them with.

What a gift and experience that is.

I am humbled to have the three daughters the Lord has blessed with.

Then to be blessed with ten amazing grandchildren that make each day a golden moment.

I couldn't have dreamed such a wonderful gift and blessing as these children.

It has been a very humbling experience being their mom and grandmother.

Thank you Lord for entrusting me with such gifts.

I am humbled to have the wonderful family and friends I have in my life.

The Lord has truly blessed me!

Each day is a humbling experience as I go through each day.

As I see all the wondrous gifts I am blessed with through each moment of everyday.

To be loved by the God who created the Universe.

To have Him send His only begotten son for me that I might have life and life eternal.

WOW!

The most humbling of all!

Is the love He gave to me the day He sent His son to die for me.

And each one of us.

I am humbled!

21 Day Summer Challenge~ Day 14: Summer recipe

 June 23-Day 14: Summer recipe Yikes!I really don't like to cook!I am sure I must have a favorite recipe.But... I'm not sure I know what it is.I think it is when hubby BB Q's or cooks.I think I must run into my kitchen and find that favorite recipe.Actually hubby really likes my salads I make as does my oldest daughter.I make a very yummy chicken salad.I don't follow a recipe except whats in my head and the refrigerator.So it can change each time not two every a like.So if I had to write the recipe it would most likely go something like this: 1 head of cleaned lettuce chopped2-3 shredded carrots1 cucumber sliced6 mushrooms sliced3 celery sticks diced5-6 radishes sliced2 tomatoes dicedSome shredded red cabbage1/2 red pepper diced 1 package of skinless chicken strips cut up in bite sizeCook in olive oil Dice up some red onionDice up some walla walla sweet onionsalt & pepperLemon4-5 cloves of finely diced garlicCook until crystal glazed brown Grated sharp cheese2 avocados slicedHard boiled eggs sliced Mix salad all togetherLay chicken on topSprinkle with grated cheeselay avocados and eggs on side of plate around for garnish. Dressing whatever you prefer.I like homemade balsamic vinegar and oil with Greek seasoning in itwith a bit of red wine. Served with sparking water Dessert fresh fruit of the season   Do you have a favorite recipe you serve a lot in the Summer?
