65 Day Journey

Day 7

So okay a late night post on my journey.
Ugh!
It has been a very full and long crazy day.
It started at 5 am this morning and here I am still going at it.
I might make it to bed about midnight.
Oh I sure hope not!
As tomorrow comes so quickly.

Today I was challenged at work by one of the ladies.
I'd like to call her a very special grey haired lady; that I survived without hitting her with the hair brush, on top of her head.
(smiles & chuckles)
Seriously though.
It is so sad to be that negative all the time and full of such nasty hatred.
I truly think she needs to know the joy of the Lord.
My heart breaks for her; even though she broke me to tears today, in not so good way.
I'm thinking okay God!
What is my lesson here?
I'm still not sure it was lesson.
More like my dear child would you please pray for this broken one of mine.
Help her find the joy in me and help her find the happiness she deserves!
It will be a challenge that is for sure.
She is the kind of person you want to run as fast and far from as you can.
So tonight I ask that Lord to show me how to give this little old lady some joy and happiness in her life.
Nothing positive comes out of her.
Breaks one heart to see and hear this.

Lord I ask that you would show me how to have peace and joy around her. That you would guide my hands, heart and words that would bring her peace and joy in the midst of whatever she is going through in her life Lord.
I thank you that you are the true joy she needs to know. I thank you Lord that you would turn her words of vinegar to honey Lord and give me the grace to continue to care for her hair needs in Jesus name Amen

So that was my mid morning experience at the salon.
Oh!
The pure joy!
But I got all my clients done plus two additional ones.
I would call that a great day!

Then afterwards headed over to my friends house where I do care giving.
Okay is this the day I'm challenged because I'm trying to be more focused on the things of the Lord and drawing near to Him to be more like Him
Because my dear client was a mess.
Oh yes!
Another HUGE challenge!
We muddled through and was able to leave with a smile on our face.
But...
Was surely challenged.

Hubby had started the preparation's for dinner. I can say I'm blessed to have a man who enjoys the kitchen.
I'm not one for the kitchen that is for sure.
He prepared a lovely dinner for us.
Chicken cooked in cream of chicken soup with rice.
Yummy!

So with all this said; isn't it funny how the Lord gives us exactly what we need at the right time
My devotional card for the day.

Lord, help us to put a new joy in our living.

~Luke 6:23

"Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven."

I'm thinking God has a great sense of humor!
I keep wondering what is this?
Then low and behold...
He never fails to give us exactly what is needed for the day.
Trust!

Trust In The Lord With All Your Heart song

Lyrics:-

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And lean not on your own understanding
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct, He shall direct your path (2)
He will not allow your foot to be bruised
He that keeps you will not slumber
The Lord is near unto all those who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And lean not on your own understanding
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct, He shall direct your path (2)

Day 3

That the Lord walks with me and holds my hand through each day.
That I have a job to go to each morning of everyday.
That the Lord trust me enough to take care of his children's hair needs and pray for their ever need; even when I don't think I can.
The love of my friends and their support through each crazy adventure.
The laughter that helps me laugh at life when I want to cry.
(Laughter is like a good medicine)

Do you have people at your job that challenge you? How do you deal with it?

An Evening walk
Captures the silvery moon
With the sunset
Pink skyline
Etched with trees
Sprinkled with city lights

Just for the viewing

65 Day Journey

Day 6

Can you believe we are already on day six of our journey.
The time passes so fast.
And can I say;
That I never would have believed that ever when I was younger.
We hurry up to go to school
We hurry up to go to middle and high school.
Then its to be a teenager.
To get our license and drive a car.
Hurry up to be 16 because that's when every wonderful thing happens.
Our first dates first kisses.
For some our first jobs.
The first steps into adult hood.
Then we hurry up to be 18.
But...that isn't good enough either;
Then we must be 21 because we are legal for everything in life then.
We are responsible legal adults.
Hurry...
Hurry...
Hurry...
Mom use to say why hurry;
Life will go fast enough soon enough.
Boy!
She wasn't kidding either.
It seems since the first moment of motherhood my life has slipped by quicker and quicker every year.
Each moment I try to hold on and capture just a second longer, of each passing moment.
For once it is gone I can never get it back.
We each get a 24 hour day which equals (86,400 seconds);
What we choose to do with them is our choice.
So choose wisely and invest completely in the things that last into eternity.
For we only pass by this moment once never to capture it again.
Live wisely and full with no regrets.
Fully and completely in the moment in love with each second of each day.
We are not promised tomorrow.
Make it the memory of a life time for all those who love you that are around you.
So take the time smell the rose's and enjoy the journey that God has blessed us with.
Even when things aren't going according to plan.
He that spoke the world into existence has a plan more beautiful that we could ever design for ourselves.

I wonder how it could possible go any faster than it already is.
But if we look at in the light of God;
WOW!

NKJV

2 Peter 3:8-9

But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

So I never know what I'm going to write until I sit down and start typing. I had no idea what was going to flow out of me and guess what this is it.

Today was another day that didn't go according to plan.
I got up to go to work.
At my salon we only have one dryer and guess what? It  was broken! They had to order the part out of Chicago.
 So home I went.
So I unexpectedly got to spend some extra time at home with hubby today as this was one of his days off.
But tomorrow is a new day and it is going to be extremely full as will be Friday so I will need many prayers thank you.

Today's devotional

Lord, teach me to listen. Help me to creatively wait in they presence. May thy voice find mine a listening ear.

~Revelation 3:20

"I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Day 2

Time with hubby that was very unexpected.
We went and got some under armour.
We are both trying it for the first time.
I also got a long sleeved white T~shirt.
Hubby cooked dinner for us.
Or I should say BBQ the steaks and made rice with veggies.
I would say this was a blessed day with hubby!

Three Word Wednesday Promt~

Carnage; noun: The killing of a large number of people.

Jerk; noun: A quick, sharp sudden movement; a spasmodic muscle twitch; a contemptibly obnoxious person; verb: Move or cause to move with a jerk

Puncture; noun: A small hole in something, a tire or skin, made by a sharp object; verb: Make a puncture in (something); cause a sudden collapse of (mood or feeling).

The mangled car
Sat in carnage
With many puncture wounds
From the jerk who drove the other car

~Beth~

Your words puncture the heart
Leaving much carnage behind
Jerking me around like a rubbery doll

~Beth~

These words give way to many little thoughts and poems running around in my head. These are two I just put up minutes before running out the door for work. Maybe I will come back and do one with some thought behind it. Great words this week!
