365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 343

This is CK with her friend Monty.
He is 18 and went home today to be with the Lord.
He is now playing at Rainbow Bridge with all the other animals that are awaiting the arrival of their Masters.

It has been a pleasure having Monty and Pat to go on walks with.
I'm sure Pat still will go on walks with us.
But it is will be a bit lonely for her.
They have been buddies for a very long time.

If you could keep Pat in your prayers as she grieves the loss of her best friend Monty;
I would appreciate it.
Thank you.

This picture was taken last week when we were visiting.
He wasn't feeling to well but CK and I love to visit.

As usual CK is hurry up mom with the camera!
Really do we have to do this again?

We all were gathered at Pat's this evening encouraging her and remembering her friend Monty.

They both were happy to have us.

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 342

Picture of postcards in a lady's room.
I loved the photos and the saying underneath them.

This little treasure was found in Sandy on another outing this past year in November, 2011; with my dear friend Carol. We later went back and took Sally with us.
A fun little place to go and have lunch at in Sandy.
The Tollgate restaurant.

Pin~up beauties of the past!
With laughter and smiles with the humorous saying underneath them.

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 341

Summertime dreaming!
Oh!
I'm dreaming of hot Summer days
Playing in the sand on the beach.
Soaking up the sun.

A bit of the log cabin fever going on here.
Or...
Is it the
Blahs!
Or both?

So as I was going through some more photos of the past year I ran across this one.
It was taken in late August when Pat my neighbor and I went to spend the day.
It was a glorious day in the sun too.

This is at Seaside, Oregon
On the beach.
Watching the kids swing and play on the beach.

Wishing I was there today!

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 340

I'd like you to meet Durelle.
She is recently a new client.
Very quiet lovely lady.
She had been coming in once every two weeks;
But...
Recently has wanted to come every week.
I will be calling her family to confirm.
As she is a bill out.
Which means I bill the family, for my services.
So I will need their approval before I can do that.
Though I'm sure there will be no problems with that.

At first she wasn't sure about coming.
Now she looks forward to it.
She is a bit shy!
It is even hard for me to get her to talk.

She plays the piano in choir and I believe she sings as well.

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 339

This photo was taken on the ninth of January this year 2012.
It was on one of my adventures with my friend Sally.
This is Bonneville Dam
View from the Washington side.
We were having so much fun driving about.
I guess gas prices meant nothing to us.
(Laughing)
It is a pleasure I have always enjoyed.
Driving and enjoying the beauty, the landscape that the Lord has blessed us with.
This day was no different.
Something I have no plans of giving up now or in the near future.
I just pray the gas prices don't get any higher!
Or that the Lord will provide for this wonderful luxury I so enjoy.

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 338

Canna Lily's
At Capital Park
Salem, Oregon
Taken in August 2011
This was my lovely adventure to Salem when I went to go get my hair license.

It was a beautiful day!
Dreaming of some of that sunshine right about
NOW!

Also looking forward to the beautiful flowers in bloom once again.

You can catch a small glimpse of the capital in the back ground.

Three Word Wednesday Prompt~

Bubble; noun: a thin sphere of liquid enclosing air or another gas; used to refer to a state or feeling that is unstable and unlikely to last; a transparent domed cover or enclosure.

Lumber; verb: Move in a slow, heavy, awkward way.

Wreck; noun: Something, esp. a vehicle or building, that has been badly damaged; verb: Destroy or severely damage (a structure or vehicle); spoil completely.

Dreaming of....
What ifs......
In my pink bubble
As I lumber through each thought
Placing each dream
In its own bubble
Praying it wont pop
Like each wreck behind me
Which has collided with reality
In hopes that this dream
Wont tumble and wreck
But....
Will lumber into a dream come true

~Beth~

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 337

I couldn't make up my mind on which photo to use.
As you know CK and I loved to take walks.
But this past Summer they became less and less.
These where from a walk we took back in May last year 2011.

She wasn't to thrilled with me as you can see.
I wanted to get some pictures of her on this little foot bridge over on the school campus.
I took about ten.
These two I would have to say where my favorites.

I think she really didn't enjoy walking on the ground over to the foot bridge.
As there where broken shells and I'm sure they where hurting her paws.
As I look back and think about it.

It was as though she was saying really mom?
Do we have to do this.
I'm not happy about it...
But...
If it makes you happy mom.
Then I will do it for you.

I'm so glad to have these photos of her.
As she isn't as active as she once was.

Today we visited one of her friends Monty.
He isn't doing well.
But we had a very nice visit.

Hoping the photos I took of them today turned out.
Will be sharing later I'm sure.

Simply Date Book

It has been a bit since I have attempted one of these. It seems I have been having a tough time with the blog lately. I think  life has come in and the blog has taken a back seat. I know that I try and write when I can. I do miss doing the blog. I also have favorite things I love to do. This is one I found during a challenge at the end of the year. Please come along and check it out. You may find others whom you'd love to get to know as well. Hope this finds you all doing well. Blessings

http://thesimplewomansdaybook.blogspot.com/

FOR TODAY~

I will be there for my friend as she struggles with some tough decision's.
I will be a support to my husband as he says good~bye to a friend.
May You Rest in peace Don!

Outside my window...

The wind is blowing as the rain whips around.
The night air is warm.
With more storms rolling in behind this one.

I am thinking...

How blessed I am to have a nice warm house to sit in.
A full tummy.
With a nice warm bed to crawl into at night.

I am thankful...

That I can come to the Father and lift up my prayers and request to Him no matter the time or the hour.
That He is always there with an ear to listen, arms to hold me.
That He knows what's best even when I cannot see it.

From the learning rooms...(if this applies)

Today I learned that even when we think its time to say good~bye;
We get to have some extra time.
Because God knows when that is needed.
His grace and mercy is sufficient and His peace perfect.
Resting in Him always gives the perfect answer.

In the kitchen...

The dishwasher is partially full of dirty dishes.
A meal that was cooked but not cleaned up after.
A floor that needs mopping!

I am wearing...

Pink slippers with black socks on.
Black velveteen pants.
A long sleeved black and green 88 Nascar T~shirt.

I am creating...

I have some needle point set aside that I need to get to work on again.
Id like to do several pieces this year and give them as gifts.
This one is about chocolate!

I am going...

To be searching for more work unless my shop picks up.
I have a few ideas.
But...
Really need to search this idea out more and seek the Lord.

I am wondering...

If working in a mortuary is something I could do or not.

I am reading...

Haven't picked up my books in a while. Need to do that too.
There are some I want to buy. But need to finish up the ones I already have started.
It seems I have allowed to much other things to get in the way of my relaxing time in many areas of my life.

I am hoping...
I hoping to have the implant of the tooth in my mouth before Easter.
I still have some more surgery to go through before they can implant.
Then I would also like to be able to have the crown put on the other tooth.
Praying God would reveal to me how I might afford that.

I am looking forward to...

To Monday when I meet with a new Mary Kay client that was referred to me.
I'm very excited to be of service to her in her skin care and beauty needs.

I am hearing...

The TV playing out in the living room.
Me banging on the keys of the key board as I type away.
The humming of the computer.

Around the house...

CK is keeping us on the go with her in and out the front door activity.
Hancho busy squawking as we go back and forth with CK.
Still looking for new drapes for the living room and bed room.
I need to get the measuring stick out and take some measurements.
As I will need to purchase some rods.

I am praying

That my two older daughters would find a place of peace in their relationship and their home that they share together.
That as they start to look for another  home that they would find one that would be affordable and one that they would be able to stay near their younger sister.
That my work would pick up.
That our fiances would stretch
That I would find a new church home.
That David would find the peace he is looking for.
That God would direct our paths.

I am pondering...

How all these things that go through my crazy little mind will work out.
If I will have help with my taxes this year.

Or....
Will I do them on my own this year?

One of my favorite things...

Is loving on my CK girl and spending time with her.
She brings such joy and happiness into our lives.
I thank God for the gift we have in our four legged fur baby.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

To get ready for my Mary Kay appointment that is coming up.
That I have all her product that she has ordered and would like to see.
To meet some new potential clients over at the assisted home living where my salon is.
Maybe even get up enough courage to start going to the gym again.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
(add your picture here)
Frozen In Time

Time is frozen
 As the snow melts
In a place and time
Of long ago
The memories
Of days gone by
Of long ago
When the pace
Was much slower
As I long
For those days
Of long ago
As the snow melts
Slowly
I am reminded
Of a time
Not so long ago
When it was
A slower pace
In time
Where one moved
As if melting snow

~Beth~

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 336

This photo was taken on one of my many adventures this past December when Sally was in town visiting.
This was taken at the park at Cascade Locks, Oregon.
As you can see:
The park is filled with Canadian Geese.
These are just a few that where about.
I wanted to get closer but was afraid of scaring them off.
It was fun watching them feed.
This is down by the Columbia River as well.
What a day!

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 335

As we come near a close of this 365 days of photo challenge that was started shortly after I started blogging.
I thought I would share some more of the snow photos from this past week that I took.
I have so many photos I have taken over the year.
Many which I have not shared.
So in the last 30 days I will be randomly sharing photos that I have taken over the past year.
I'm still trying to put together an idea of something I would like to do for the next year or even the next six months.
I'm thinking just a simple daily challenge of some sort.
I hope you have enjoyed the photos as much as I have.
I have learned so much through this challenge and with my camera.
I look forward to possibly getting a new camera in the future.

This photo is of the neighbors patio and the start of the melting away.
I just love the half snowed look;
Along with the dry.
As you can really see the melting of snow.

When you have done a challenge do you take away a learning experience?

Yet Another Email Share

This wonderful email post came from a very dear and special friend.
It was one of those you just want to share with everyone.

I took some of the things out as it was more towards a forward for email, so I did some adjustments.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
There are so many truths inside this.
It warmed my heart and touched me with a huge smile and a bit of laughter to pass along to ALL!
Thank you to each and all that have brought a slice of heaven to my small part of the world and sharing with me your friendship.
Thank you Crystal for the beautiful email.

 LOVE THIS ONE!!!!!
As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of  myself. I've become my own friend..

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before  they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.

Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer  until 4 AM or sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60 &70's, and if I, at the same time, wish  to weep over a lost love .. I will.

I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves with  abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set.

They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful.  But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten.. And I  eventually remember the important things..

Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How can your heart not  break when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when some body's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken  hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion. A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will  never know the joy of being imperfect.

I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have  my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever  etched into deep grooves on my face.

So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.
As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about  what other people think. I don't question myself anymore..
I've even earned the right to be wrong.

So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I  like the person I have become I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here,
I will not waste time lamenting what could  have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert  every single day(if I feel like it)

MAY OUR FRIENDSHIP NEVER COME APART ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S STRAIGHT  FROM THE HEART!

How do you feel about growing older?

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 334

Yes!
This is another photo snatch from my daughter Amber's Face Book page.
She is posting great photos of the grands right now and just have to have them.
This one is of my youngest grandson Bredeen.
His Auntie Amber took him to see Monster Trucks.
He is eating cotton candy here.
It looks like he has a host of goodies sitting next him.
I know he had an great !
There is a picture of him I would love to have.
But the photo is upside down.
He is wearing a monster truck on top of his head as a hat.
It is so
AWESOME!
Maybe she will turn it around and I will steal and share.
I'm so glad the girls have each other and that they enjoy taking the kids to events.
Sharing this amazing world with them.

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 333

This photo was snatched off my daughter Amber's face book page.
I'm so grateful to have one of my daughters who post photos occasionally.
This one is a very special photo.
It is of my beautiful Summer.
She has received a Star Student award.
Very very proud of our girl.
She has made her mom, her aunties and mema so very proud.
Her dad and Uncles and all her siblings as well.
She is growing into a lovely young lady.
Way to go Summer!
You are mema's little shining star.

Finger Print Friday ~ Weatherman A Snowman

Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of god

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? Here's how to join in.

1. Blog with your interpretation of God's fingerprints. Be sure to link back to Beki over at TheRusted Chain
http://www.blog.therustedchain.com/
so others can find the entire list of participants!
2. After you've posted your blog, sign the Linky below. Have fun exploring the other links as well!
Please only sign in if you're participating. Hopefully this will make us look at things through fresh eyes throughout the week!
_____________________________________________

Fresh powder snow
Kids playing
With laughter all about
Fury dogs running through the white Winter wonderland
Seizing each moment
Day and night
All are the perfect fingerprint of God.

This past week we have had many finger prints
Of the Lord shining through the weather.
Children enjoying the snow days.
Dogs playing with their Masters and their playmates.
Strong winds whipping through
Trees ripped up and thrown like tooth picks
Rains that have no end in sight
With flash flooding all about.
Rivers breaching their banks
Snow covered mountains
His hand print all around
In each breathe breathed

Through it all His strength and beauty shine.
Showing His mighty hand
Not one day goes by
That the Lord does not shine through
With His gifts of beauty and love all about.

Below is one of the many snowman that the children built on Wednesday night when the snows came.
The joy in their voices and the laughter and play gave way to a late night of play and snow white joy.
Gods finger print of love in each flake that fall
Each laughter of play
As each child
Small and adult
Played in the moonlight of night
In the snow.

NKJV

Habakkuk 3:19

The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer's feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.

Where did you see God's finger print this week?

Three Word Wednesday Prompt~

Downhill; adverb: Toward the bottom of a slope; into a steadily worsening situation; adjective: leading down toward the bottom of a slope; leading to a steadily worsening situation; without difficulty or challenge.

Freak; noun: A very unusual and unexpected event or situation; )a person, animal, or plant with an unusual physical abnormality; a person who is obsessed with or unusually enthusiastic about a specified interest; verb: Behave or cause to behave in a wild and irrational way, typically because of the effects of extreme emotion, mental illness, or drugs.

Sliver; noun: A small, thin narrow piece of something cut or split off of a larger piece; verb: Cut or break (something) into small, thin, narrow pieces.

It was the freak event
Of a life time
One that would have an everlasting change
The downhill events
Brought me to this place
A place
With little or no sliver of opportunities
Or hopes of change
A light was shining brightly upon
This darkness
Which was now over taking me quickly
I had hit rock bottom
Which sent me spinning
Downhill to the pit
With nowhere to go
With the perfect
Light
Shining upon me
I had to look up
 With nowhere else to tun
It took me to a place
With a sliver of opportunity
The light shining brightly
I reached up
His hand I touched
He lifted me up
Into His arms of love
This sliver of opportunity
With this silver lining
Which presented itself
In a sliver of a moment
His precious gift of life
His light shining brightly upon me
Offering His
Precious love and forgiveness
Of a life
Of hope
In Him
My Savior
My Lord

~Beth~
