PlayDate ~ Oh How Could I?

How could I forget? But Oh how I did! My play date with God! Or did I really miss it all? Or was it an excused date pre-planned and designed by Him. Or was this Him letting me be excused from my play date. As I laid in bed and slept till ten. Lazied in my Jammie's all day long! Until it was time to get ready to speak this evening at the the Unit meeting for my Mary Kay business.
So today was my play date with God! And I oh so missed out! Or did I really?
I did enjoy watching from the warmth of my living room the rain, the frozen rain then the snow fall lightly to the ground. As I was tucked safely in my home. I watched the little finches feed from our feeders out the living room window. I quietly sat and enjoyed the company of my hubby and my CK girl. Thought of all that had to be done. That did not get done. I reviewed my notes for the evening speaking engagement.
How could I miss my play date with God? Or did I really miss out at all?
Maybe He just wanted me to rest and be refreshed for the events of the evening. So I might be relaxed and refreshed in Him as I shared on Customer Service. Or maybe it was time to just allow Him to minister to me in the stillness of my home as I rested and listened and watched all that was around me. Seeing His richness of beauty in all that surrounded me in the stillness and quietness of my day. The beauty of the Winter storm that blankets all the earth as it prepares to spring forth new life in the Spring of renewal. The preparations of the new life that is to come. Did I really miss this play date with God? Or was this His divine plan?
NIV
Exodus 33:14
The Lord replied. "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

A Winter's Kiss

Photo Challenge~ Vintage

I have found yet another way to grow in my photography. This challenge comes from "This Life Is So Sweet" Blog.
I actually do have some photos I took this weekend at my sisters home while I was visiting. Some great vintage.
I still have another photo challenge I need to finish up on today. I'm not really sure how I will complete it.
But I can tell you one thing for sure if there is something you want to grow in. Find those who will challenge your creative juices and hop on board. Get out of the box and have some fun! I know I sure am and meeting lots of great people along the way. Whether it be here in blogging world or any social network. Or out on the outings that have challenged my creativity. I have meet people along the way that are full of great information and tips. They are willing and wanting to give helpful tips with those of like mind. They want to see you succeed and have fun while doing it. It is a great way to learn or expand on a hobby or skill without going back to school.
So this cook book my blonde sister found in one of her many excursions in antique shopping. It is a cook book. I know wish i had taken more photos of it. She doesn't cook or bake much. But... my mother does. Funny thing is she has three daughters none of which enjoy cooking or baking at all. We all know how. But the joke with the blonde sister is she could burn water. I'm sure this book was purchased as a gift for out mother. As she does collect cook books. This is defiantly a vintage cook book. I so wish I had looked at some of the recipes. I'm sure there where some lost forgotten ones that would love to be brought back to life. Guess this is where one needs to expand her mind and challenge her self to try new dishes in baking and cooking.

Think of a particular group of good things you want to make a list on, does not necessarily have to be about books, e.g. your current book wish list, or your favorite book foods (you know, foods you love to eat while reading, if you're like me), or your favorite girly names, whatever you can think of, as long as it makes you feel good.

Go over and link up here at Brush Up On Your Reading

365 Days Of Pictures ~Day 6

This picture was taken in the beautiful little town of the "The Dalles, Oregon". This is the little town where I spent most of my growing up years off and on. Mom loved this town and fall in love with it. This is now where my sisters reside into the first steps of their retirement.
This tree is so huge and beautiful. It is just up the street from the City Park where I was taking some other photos when I tripped and twisted my ankle. I now have a wonderful sprain that is causing me great pain. But I think this photo was well worth it.
So I chose this as my picture of the day!

So you have a place you'd like to spend your retirement years?

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh.

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh.

I have so many different things that make me laugh. So I decided to find one of my more recent memories that I had some photos archived that I could share. This one holds many fond memories as well as a wonderful time.

This particular picture makes me laugh because it reminds me of what a great time I had at my moms with one of my best girl friends.
She always knows how to have a good time and is up for a good laugh. In fact we are always laughing and having a great time when we are together.
Mom, Carol, and I all where doing this mask thing that makes your face supposedly look younger according to mom. So of course we all had to try it  to see if it really would make us years younger. (Smiles) But it was so darn  funny! You heat  it up in the micro wave and lay it on your face for about five minutes. We had a great time!  Not sure if it really worked but it was fun! As you see we defiantly looked silly if nothing else. The Golden face lady's we were.
Golden Mask Lady

Both her and mom won at this crazy game they had me playing as well. We couldn't stop laughing all night long. I'm sure I was the winner and that they were cheating I'm sure of it! The game is called Rummikub.  There is no way that I could have that many points and not "WIN"! A must have for any good family night of games.

I still laugh when I think of this trip.
It started out as a business trip and ended with us visiting my mom and taking our time coming home.

Do you have particular funny memory that makes you laugh every time you think about it?

Photo Challenge: Park/Random Bench ~ Twisted Fate Photography

Once again it is time to post a photo for Twisted Fate Photo challenge. This weeks challenge is "Park Bench".
Check her site out. She has amazing photos and does challenges all the time. As well you will be able to check out all those participating.  Here is her link

I have been taking so many pictures of Park benches this past week. So don't be surprised if you see them popping up in other themes and writing in the coming weeks. I really enjoyed this one and I so wish that I could go to some really out of the ordinary places. I do have some trips planned and some ideas in my head. I really liked this photo I took on my journey home from my visit with my sisters. I stopped at Multnoham Falls. I hiked up just the other side of the bridge. I do believe this is the last bench before the hike to the top of the falls. But.. I don't hike in this weather just little treks that are not far from the roadside. The view was breathe taking as always. The bench actually faces the falls. But you defiantly have a view in all directions here. You can actually see people hiking up the path to the bridge in the left hand side. It was a brisk walk. But so worth it!

Restful Awaiting

Finally Caught Up!

I thinking I'm at least caught up on some of my photos and posting that I wanted to stay on top of. It is a process to stay current with all these post and photos. It brings a new challenge to me in ways I never thought. I also find that I truly enjoy it and look forward to the postings. I find it to be relaxing and enjoyable. Much like a journal of your thoughts telling a story of ones life. Away to express myself and just let my hair down.
I think I'm going to find this more challenging though as time goes on and we come into the Spring and Summer. As this is the time of year I am always on the go and I do most of my traveling.
I am going to have to find away to keep up and still be able to do the tasks at hand with this blog that I have set for myself. I am so looking forward to the growth and challenges of this blog.

Do any of you have any suggestions that would make it easier when you have a full plate and you are traveling. Any advice would be helpful. Please leave advice or suggestion's in comment box thank you!

365 Days Of Pictures ~Day 5

This picture was taken on my journey home this weekend from visiting my sisters.
I stopped along the road and found some places that are some of my favorite haunts to stop and rest to gather and regroup my thoughts.
This shot was taken up at Multnoham Falls along the Columbia River Gorge on the trail going up to the bridge. I just loved how the branches on the trees seemed to be reaching for the heavens.
Though it was a bit over cast with the weather I loved the peaceful magical beauty it gave me as I stopped before heading home. It was the perfect stop before heading the rest of the way home.
Feeling the Lords peace fall upon me. Knowing I was held in the palm of His hand.
It was time to start the rest of the trek home from the weekend.

Magical heavens

Do you have a favorite spot to regroup and gather your thoughts?

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item.

The item I picked was my treasured travel bible that one of my dearest friends purchased for me as a gift. Every time I pack for a trip short or long it is tossed into my case whether it is over night or a long trip where I will be gone for a time. Not only is this the gift that keeps giving but it serves as a constant reminder how much I'm loved by this treasured friend along with having the love and the promise of the Lord with me always. He is who first loved me. As His word is a lamp to my feet. It is my road map to life. So I couldn't imagine picking any other item.

365 Days Of Pictures ~Day 4

This picture was taken the other day while my wonderful CK girl and I where on our daily walk. We decided since the school was closed we would walk through the court yard of the school yard. I thought this was an awesome picture of the snow untouched by the hands of humans nor of a living creature.
It is the walk way leading into one of the class rooms off the play ground.

Untouched

Do you ever just like to go and look at the school yard and think how nice it would be to be young again?

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day.

Day 06 - A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day.

Okay this one should be interesting!
I love my Lord and Savior! So wouldn't it be interesting to be Him for one day/or not?
Well it may be a bit overwhelming to answer all those prayers that are coming up every second of every day. And not really knowing the greater plan as I'm only God for a day. So I really wouldn't have the over all picture of what is actually happening. Or would I?
Listening to everyone tell me why they shouldn't be where they are and what is the greater purpose? Trying explain this is all for their good and my glory. Or trying to help those who could careless. Or how about those who think they know what my greater plan is. Well.....Hmm! Maybe not!

Then again that would mean that oh yea! I may not be as loving and kind as Him. Maybe that wouldn't be such a grand idea after all. For everyone out there. Could make for some very unhappy people actually.
Makes one think about all the "Oh God" movies they have made in past years. My favorites where always with George Burns playing "God".

Maybe this isn't who I should be picking. But it could make for a seriously funny movie like all the "OH God" movies.

So how about if I pick one of my favorite actress's. Bette Milder.
I have always been a big fan of hers. I love her realness of just being who she is. A true actress in every way. As she can dance sing act be a comedian. All that is the making of a great actress. She is true to herself from all accounts. She has worked her way to true stardom. I always thought it would be fun to act. So maybe the better choice would be for me to be Bette Milder for a day.

If you had a choice for one day who would you choice to be?

Snow Response

Well Miss R. I'm glad you don't have to go out into the snow. (Smiles)  That you are surely enjoying the beautiful snow that is falling and layering it self around the ground. As the crispness in the air and the little white flakes gently fall I'm awaiting news as to whether I can drive I-84.
With the road conditions as they are in the Columbia Gorge, especially the Cascade Locks area one will not be traveling without chains.
Many phone calls to road hazard conditions as well as Internet road trip check. Don't leave home without it.
http://www.tripcheck.com/
Miss R. it appears I will be making a trip to buy chains for the car. Chains required for travel. As I normally don't travel in these weather conditions. I now must go purchase some chains. Me oh my! I don't even know how to put them on! YIKES! I guess today is as good a day as any to learn. Hahaha!
They are cleaning roads with plows as I type away this morning.
I'm truly not a fan of the snow unless I know I'm safely tucked away in a nice safe warm spot to enjoy it on my terms.
Miss R. you know I'm not a huge fan as you know. Unless I'm inside and I don't have too. And as it appears I have to be in it to get home this fine beautiful Sunday. Praying it will warm up enough. I'm as well hoping for a  bit of rain to turn it at least into slush so I may get home. Will that be enough to turn the snow through the Gorge to slush? I can only pray so Miss R.
Fridays journey down here which was a two hour drive that normally only takes about 45 minutes. Was a road trip I wont soon forget Miss R. The road conditions where very bad on Friday.
Accident after accident lined up on the road. Later, that evening I had heard there had been a total of 26 from point A to B. Yes! That would be my normal 45 minute drive turned into a two hour nightmare. With the prayers of the Saints carrying me in. The Angels of the Lord were all around me as I traveled. I trust in Him.
Yes! Miss R. it appears it will be another two hour drive with the Lords hand encamped about and leading. With more prayers from the Saints. The Angels of the Lord will be about me as I travel towards home. Trusting in Him as I await the perfect time to start this journey towards my hubby and CK girl. So here I sit in my beautiful sisters home awaiting for the heat of the day. Drinking a nice hot cup of coffee!
Oh yea! Miss R. the whooping high of....40. As the little white flakes continue to float down and hit the cold cold ground. Will they stick or melt? I ask myself. Do I have a chance to get home today at all?
With this in mind Miss R. I will not be enjoying the thought of I don't have to because I have too. I have to come home to my hubby who awaits and my old gal who lovingly moons over me even while I'm at work for even a few hours everyday.
So I can say today I wont be enjoying the beauty of the snow. But.... Alas awaiting news of whether I will be able to get home before dark. As I surely will not be driving in the darkness. I prefer day on these roads and the conditions they are in. So for me I sit and wait in anticipation of going home.
Miss R. enjoy the beauty and the crisp newness of the life that it holds underneath the white blanket of cold. As underneath lays the new birth of life yet to come. As Winter leaves us, Spring and all its beauty will spring forth.
So I remind myself that this is just a season in my journey that I must stop and enjoy the beauty of life yet born into Spring. Just like when we are all reborn into His likeness and love Miss R.
NKJV
1Peter 22-25
Since you have been purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because
"All flesh is as grass,
And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers, And its flower falls away,
But the word of the Lord endures forever."
Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.
As the day dwindles on Miss R. in the hopes of coming home I ask that all you pray for my safe journey's home.
Love you. Blessings

What is your response to the snow that WILL NOT! Go away or the weather that you wish was Spring and Summer?

Saturday Crazy!

Well! It looks as though I'm going to have to play catch up on some of my photos that I need to post today. As I'm not near my computer. I did bring my lap top with. But cannot seem to get it up and running. So have borrowed my dear sisters. So ....... You know I don't have photos on here at all. Nor am I up loading any here. I don't thinks she would appreciate it or me much. She is an awesome sister though.
I'm here at her home for the weekend. Came up the other afternoon. And oh what a drive! I will be sharing that later. It was kinda scary out there on I-84 through the Columbia Gorge.
Last night out on the town with sisters for dinner. Then Blondie sister and I went out on the town. OH MY! What stories I have to share! (Maybe)
Today has been a work day here at her home. Kitchen Cosmetology, which I will be sharing later as well.
Tonight a spaghetti feed for the high school fundraiser, for the Seniors. Youngest sister.s friend.s daughter. So we all will be attending as a family. Should be fun! I haven't been here at this school since I was a child attending here. We wont state how long that is, much to long. They live in one of the small towns in rural America that we grew up in as children. So many memories.
Tomorrow will get up and have breakfast and coffee and pray the drive home will be uneventful and safe. I don't know what the weather is calling for. So any prayer warriors out there please be praying thank you I really appreciate it.
So this will be my post until I get home tomorrow afternoon. Hope you all are having a great weekend. I know I am. Blessing

So how do you keep up on your blog when traveling or when plate is over book?

Polly Wolly Doodle

Last evening I was watching TCM (Turner Classic Movies) It is one of my favorite movie stations. I love the classics. A great old black and white was on. "You Can't Take It With You" 1938 Lionel Barrymore, Jean Arthur, James Stewart. A delightful comedy about young love.
Frank Capra's 1938 populist spin on the George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart play about a family of happy eccentrics is a great deal of fun!
An eccentric patriarch (Lionel Barrymore) meets the stuffy parents of his granddaughter's (Jean Arthur) fiance (James Stewart).
I love one of the very last scenes where they are in the house singing and dancing. It is so delightful. It makes you want to get up and dance and sing with them. They sang one of the songs I remember my mom sing to us children when we were young.
It brought back warm memories of my childhood.
I found the words to this delightful childhood song that mom use to sing to us. I had to even call her and ask her if she remembered the song and the words. She remembered the song. But not all the words. She will be delighted to know I found the words. So i plan on sending her a copy to her. I know she will love it and will bring warm memories of a time gone by. I'm so glad I found the words. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I did. If you get a chance to see the movie please do it. it is a delight!

....
Oh, I went down South
For to see my Sal
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
My Sal, she is
A spunky gal
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well,
Fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana
For to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Oh, my Sal, she is
A maiden fair
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
With curly eyes
And laughing hair
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well,
Fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana
For to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Behind the barn,
Down on my knees
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
I thought I heard
A chicken sneeze
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well,
Fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana
For to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

He sneezed so hard
With the whooping cough
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
He sneezed his head
And the tail right off
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well,
Fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana
For to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Oh, a grasshopper sittin'
On a railroad track
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
A-pickin' his teeth
With a carpet tack
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well,
Fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana
For to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Oh, I went to bed
But it wasn't any use
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day
My feet stuck out
Like a chicken roost
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

Fare thee well,
Fare thee well,
Fare thee well my fairy fay
For I'm going to Lou'siana
For to see my Susyanna
Sing Polly wolly doodle all the day

365 Days Of Pictures ~Day 3

Meet Miss B. She is one of the very delightful lady's I have the honor and privilege of making beautiful every week at an Adult Foster Care Home through my business of
"Have Hair Will Travel".
I go into Adult Foster Care homes and to those who cannot otherwise get out and get their hair done. I just love being able to do that. It is truly a blessing and privilege to do so.
I have been doing hair for 30years now. I would have never dreamed that the passion I have for doing these sweet lady's hair would be where my cosmetology would have taken me, so many years ago. Nor can I imagine doing anything else.
I as well have my hair salon that I work at twice a week at an assisted care home.
"Beth's Beauty Shop".
I have been there now for over three years. I came out of semi retirement from doing hair. I had decided I wasn't going to do hair any longer.
It was defiantly the calling of the Lord. This is the shop my hubby lovingly calls, "God's Waiting Room". Though he does think all of the work I do is a part of "God's Waiting Room".
Loving dubbed.
I also do some fill work for another place called
"The Fountain" when they need me. I just started there not long ago.
I never know when I will get to work for them just when they need me.
The Fountain is an assisted home as well.
I think I have the best job in the world.
I was hired by the "KING" Himself. I know that in my heart as we have had many a long conversations about this. He has assured me in my prayer time I am right where I need to be.
And Yes! There is a great need for this area of service. So if you know any one in the hair business that loves working with the elderly and doesn't mind traveling. It is an open door of opportunity.

Miss B.

Do you have a job you love that you thought you'd never be doing?

Finger Print Friday~Hosted By Rusted Chain

Fingerprint Friday
There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?
http://www.blog.therustedchain.com/

My neighbor is always dressing her door for the current holiday event or season. It always speaks to me and says welcome with much love. My neighbor is amazing lady! I have been blessed with wonderful neighbors along with her; I have several others that are blessings to my family and I as well. They all seem to represent some small part of Gods loving heart as well as his loving touch.
We all seem to watch over and keep a watchful eye out for one another in our little community here at the Village. It makes me feel so loved and protected in my little community of neighbors.
But her door reflects her and her love of the Lord. She is defiantly a reflection of Gods finger print. So I decided to highlight her door on "Finger Print Friday". Because I see His fingerprint on her door and her life daily. She truly is a walking testimony of His love.
It is always welcoming and full of love.  When she opens it with her beautiful smile you know that you are welcome and she is delighted you stop by for a bit of cheer and conversation. She truly is a finger print of God to me. Just as God stands at our door knocking.
NIV
Revelations 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory.

/
Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory.

So picking my favorite memory really isn't an easy one at all. As each one of my memories I hold close and dear. Each one for its time and season of my life. If I had to pick and choose just one or two I could never ever do that. I couldn't even find all of my precious memories. I thank God each one is stored up in my heart and in my memory banks where they can never be taken or destroyed. So I found these two memories. Each representing a time in my life different in each way. But I am richer with each of these and all those I haven't shared. You just never know I may have to take you down my cherished memory lane one day.

This picture represents the day that my hubby took my hand and committed to share his life with not just me but my three beautiful daughters. To help raise them and love them as his own. We have been on a journey of love and life since then; plus two years prior to that. But you'd never know that the girls weren't his. He loves them as much as any Father could. Lord thank you for the man you blessed me with in Hubby.
My Wedding Day to My Hubby
The man that I love and completes Me!
10/22/88

So this picture represents the love of
my grandchildren and the joy they bring me. There are eight more in between these two. My three daughters have blessed richly and filled my quiver full of love.

My eldest and Youngest Grandson!
What could be more perfect?
Brotherly Love

Do you have a special memory that stands out? Or is yours a journey of season of memories like mine?

Thursday Product Highlight~

I have decide to try something new. So on Thursday's I'm going to be doing a product highlight on my Mary Kay products. Which I think will be allot of fun! As I do have my very favorites. As most of us do in any cosmetic line. But it will also help me to try some of the products I may not have otherwise. Even those that are not suited  for me; I will be testing and giving my thoughts on. this will help make me a better consultant and more knowledgeable on the products as well. Which will benefit me and my business. If you'd like to give your opinions on any product highlight please let me know. I let my clients try and give their opinion's all the time. It gives my products more creditability I feel when the public is giving their honest thoughts on what they think. (I always offer a great deal on the product that they are giving their opinion on. You can personally contact me via my web page link with Mary Kay. I will let you know how this works for us both.) I hope you will enjoy this little Thursday highlights. If you see something you like and want to try please go check me out at:
www.marykay.com/ehernandez1

But if you already have a beauty consultant with Mary Kay please give her a call and talk to her. I don't believe in taking others customers and that is not how I nor the Mary Kay business works either. It is their business and that is how they make their living. I wouldn't want someone to take my clients. So please .... if you have a consultant contact her. Tell her you'd like to try this product I'm sure she'd love to hear from you.

So my first product highlight I will be starting with the "Timewise 3-1 Cleanser" I use the normal to dry. There are two formulas depending on your skin type. But if your like some maybe you like a more regiment cleansing program we do offer the classic line as well in three formulas depending on your skin type and needs. I will be highlighting them as well as time goes on. But we have many to select from.

It is the first piece in a set of four of our skin care program called the "Miracle Set".
It is the first step in cleansing our skin and caring  for it for younger looking skin.
The first step in its benefit's is cleansing, exfoliate, freshen in one easy step. Both the normal to dry and the oily to combination formulas provide this benefit.
It has the "Good House Keeping seal of approval.
It is 100% satisfaction guarantee ed.
If your not a globber as I am it should last you about four months. As a little bit does go a long ways with this product and all of our products.Mine is right around the two half to three months.

Which is a great buy at 18.
Seeing is believing! The results are AMAZING!
I have been using these products for over thirty years  before I started selling.
So I was first a tried and true believer in the product line, long before I started selling.
I have been a consultant for the Mary Kay product line for going on 12 years now. I just love it! Everything about it along with the product.
Being in the beauty industry for as long I have  I have enjoyed and used many other products as well.  But have always kept coming back to the May Kay line of products. They do deliver what they say they are going to do. I always get the results they promise with a wonderful 100% guarantee.

What is your favorite skin care cleanser and why?

365 Days Of Pictures ~Day 2

365 Days Of Pictures ~Day 2

Well today is suppose to be this huge snow storm! Way to funny! Phone call again this morning from the Portland school district. Hello! I don't have any children in your public systems! Nor any children in school! Why are you calling me? Stop the early morning phone rings "PLEASE". 6am is just not when I want to get up okay!
So for all of you out there in blog land this is way to crazy. I mean those you have been buried in snow for weeks on end, with real snow storms. Why on earth would they close schools for this storm? Really? It is just a dusting. As of the time of this post it will almost be melted away. Just darn right weird and strange to me. Have fun with the humor in that one. Check out the post from yesterday "Early Mornings Wake Up Call".

A beautiful morning dusting

How is your Winter morning rounding out?

What A Mess

Boy did I make a mess out of that last blog. I cannot even figure out how to clean it up either. I guess I live with it. Not only that but it appears that it shows I have posted several times the same post over and over again. I guess I need to be more careful. Or maybe, this is diffaintly apart of my learning curve. Of course I'm trying to use the linky tool as well. I had been doing pretty good at it. But..... Maybe I should just give that up. But Im really trying hard to learn all these things to make a great blog. Well... I just keep plugging away I know that is a part of learning. It is making the mistakes and learning from them. Growing and taking that knowledge and applying it to the next adventure. Getting up and brushing those knees off and starting again. Defeat isntant apart of this game plan. Success is! Success is what I will have.  I wont expect failure.

Because success is:

A success poem that encourages you to keep on keeping on.
DON'T QUIT
by Edgar A. Guest
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
when the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
when the funds are low and the debts are high,
and you want to smile but you have to sigh,
when care is pressing you down a bit - rest if you must,
but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns.
As everyone of us sometimes learns.
And many a fellow turns about when he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow - you may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than it seems to a faint and faltering man;
often the struggler has given up when he might have captured the victor's cup;
and he learned too late when the night came down,
how close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out - the silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
and when you never can tell how close you are,
it may be near when it seems afar;
so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit - it's when things seem worst,
you must not quit.

Do you have a favorite saying that helps you through learning process or tough times?

Day 04 - A picture of your night.

Day 04 - A picture of your night.

An evening of watching "Golden Girls"

Or me pounding away on the key board playing games and writing some blogs.

The real reality of my evenings! Oh So SAD!

What Id rather be doing is getting ready for Oscar night! Or at least a night out on the town. I'm defiantly ready for either.

Do you have an exciting night planned for Oscar night? Or could you careless?
