Lent Letter's To God~ 23

Dear God,
Goodness gracious what a full long day. You are truly blessing me with  amazing things and gifts through my day. Even when they are so full, busy and over the top.
Up early! And I seem to stay up late. I know the only way that can possible happen is with your grace and wonderful infused energy into this body of mine. Thank you.
It is funny to watch Hubby and I fight over the dressing area when we both have to be at work at the same time. I should have gotten up even earlier Lord. But I struggle already with getting up early. I would much rather sleep late. Tomorrow should be fun as well. A repeat of today.
Praise You God! That you wake me everyday with your gentle morning touch with no alarm. So happy!
I meet some amazing new ladies today out at the Clackmas salon today.
Though I must say I don't understand how they think after being under the hair dyer for five minutes that they would think their hair is dry and ready for a comb out. Way to funny! But... I call this going with the flow. They just don't want to stay under. So Shari said comb them out. I laugh but they all are happy. So .... I guess that is all that counts. Plus clean heads and well brushed hair what more could you possible want?
They seem to want to rush through the process. My theory when I get my hair done is to enjoy the process the pampering and R&R of the whole experience. I wonder if they think they are missing out on something?
So as I reflect on this day. I thank you for gracing me with the humor of these new ladies that I will be taking care of the next few weeks; well their regular hairdresser is on vacation.
Thank you Lord for allowing me to be apart of each one of their life's as they share and just ramble about whats on their minds.
Was home late for me this evening. So no walk for CK girl and I. Kinda sad about that. Especially since the sun is trying to pop out. Maybe tomorrow.
I feel like I had no unwind time. Rushing from one thing to another as the evening closed.
So off to dinner we went.
So as I sit and write my letter to you this evening. I'm thinking about each lady that came into the salon. How each had something special to add to my life as you brought them across my path. I may not know tonight or tomorrow. But they have added some small piece of richness to it that wouldn't be there otherwise. Each one brought their own smile and bit of humor to the salon and me.
I thank you for allowing me to be used by you and being a blessing to each one.
So as I close this day and prepare for tomorrow I will close in prayers for each lady that you brought in today from rehab. That you would reveal the lessons learned from each one.
I know for sure the human spirit is a remarkable one as I watch in amazement as each one struggles to fight to go home and recovery totally from whatever health ailment is effecting them. That the love of a human touch and making one feel as beautiful as they truly are is a good medicine. That the love and feeling good about ones self helps in the speedy recovery.
I'm learning so much working with the elderly and sick even in the hair business Lord. What a wonderful gift to make another feel wonderful and beautiful. Yes! The human touch is so important. The touch of another one that makes you feel special. The hands are your gift of healing in some small way. Thank you.
Blooming Colors
Thank you for the beauty each one places in my life daily and the love you pour out to me each moment of the day. As you use my hands to work some small gift of beauty and love with them through the gift you gave me.

Goodnight and I love you Lord
Praising your glory
Beth

Are you amazed as I am at the spirit of the human body?

Word Prompts From Dodge Writes~ Opportunity

So Getting home later and later from work isn't helping em with having fun with my writing. But I will try and keep up as I also find it very relaxing as well.
Today's word prompts come from "Dodge Writes" over at:
http://dodgewrites.blogspot.com/
Grap the words and have some creative fun then link up and see what others have created.
Today's words are ZESTFULLY, WRINKLE, VIVID, TYPICALLY, REDEMPTION, POCKETFUL, NUZZLE, LEVELHEADED, IRKSOME, GUNSHY...

As I zestfully left for work
I found myself waiting upon many with a wrinkle or two
As each one shares a vivid story of days gone by
I typically find myself wondering what life would be like
With thoughts of redemption
Of past mistakes
I hold a pocketful of memories of my own
I hold and nuzzle them close to my heart
Thinking levelheaded about each passing thought
It can be so irksome  to realize the missed opportunity
So gunshy no more will I be
So I will zestfully
Run my race with my wrinkle
With the vivid memories
That I typically hold
I wont think of redemption or that passing thought
Or the pocketful of memories
I will nuzzle close to those who spear me on
I will be levelheaded about each opportunity that comes my way
No more irksome missed opportunities
Gunshy no more
~Beth~

Do you have a few missed opportunities that you wish you could change?

365 Days Of Pictures ~Day 36

My sister recently this past year moved back into the area. I haven't lived near my sisters since I was a small child. They have lived in the Midwest for a long time. So when they moved back out here to the Pacific North West I was in seventh heaven.
I have wanted to be near them and do things with them. Like sister do.
Going shopping having lunch or just being there and sharing the quiet unsaid words of love.
So as you can only imagine I was over the top when they moved about an hour from my home.
I go and spend the weekends with them whenever I can.
Or when they come up here I try and make sure I have at least fifteen minutes for them even if it is just a cup of "Joe".
This was one of the presents they presented me with shortly after they moved back here.
It is hang with pride in a special location of the house. i see it everyday and am reminded of the love we have for one another and how truly blessed we are to have one another in each others lives.
I have been blessed with two awesome sisters.
I'm sure they found this sampler at one of their outings together. They love to go to estate sales and antique shopping as well.
I just love it!

"Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother."

As with all our products they are 100% guaranteed satisfaction.

Being in the beauty industry for over 30 years I would have to say these are some of the best nail polishes I have ever personally used. And I would put them up against many name brands. There are other great ones out there. But as far as I'm concerned you cannot beat these or their wear ability. Being a hair dresser and having my hands in shampoo, water, chemical's, etc. Let me tell you these nail polishes wear extremely well. Even after eight hours of working in the Salon with hair brushes, combs, curlers, hair pins, hair spray, whatever I need to use in the business that could mess up a beautiful set  of nails. Still stands up and looks great!

You can shop on line 24/7 at
http://www.marykay.com/ehernandez1

Or if you already have a consultant you can shop with her on her web site. She will always be excited to hear from you. So if you have a consultant and would love to see these beautiful nail colors in person please give her a call. Or any of the new limited edition line.
If you are looking for a beauty consultant and don't have one I would be delighted to be a service to you in your beauty cosmetic needs.

I so had wanted to show case the colors on my nails. But was not able too. As I couldn't take a picture of my nails well wet. Nor did the ones that I did manage to take come out at all. I'm so sad too, as they really are beautiful on.
My husband fell in love with the nail colors as well. He actually comment on them, which he usually doesn't. So I think that is a huge selling point girls. I tried both on. But I think he really preferred the "Coral Stone". He loved the rich color and the look it gave my nails.
I feel that the "Pink Sand" would be perfect for a french manicure. I love the color.
I'm thinking it will be perfect for the granddaughters to wear. You know all little girls love to be beautiful as well.

So indulge yourself with these new Spring colors that will fit right into the seasons hottest and newest looks.

Do you wear nail polish?

Lent Letter's To God~ 22

Dear Lord,
We are now on day twenty two. Can you believe it? The time is slipping by so quickly. I cannot believe that we are half way through the Lent season. I have been learning so much on this little journey. I have been so excited about each reveal and how I have been much more aware of you and all that you have blessed me with. So much more appreciative as well. Thank you so very much Lord.
Today was full as each day is. I never know how or what you will do or how you will re-design my day.
Some cancel, some cannot come in, some new ones come by and say hello. Well others find their way right into my chair.
Never a dull moment at the hair salon. Each day is different and a new adventure with each lady or gentleman whatever the case maybe that day. Each bringing a bit of their life and in sightfulness into my life in the salon. Their smiles and laughter as they relax and enjoy their visits with one another. It is funny how they seem to get so excited when one of their friends whom they just had breakfast with comes into the room. They are like little children.
They have it down Lord. We are to come and be like little children. Well they surely are and I so love it.
Today was filled with many blessings with each one. They where asking questions about skin care. Oh my gosh! I got to sell some Mary Kay Lord to those awesome ladies! Thank you for the business in my Mary Kay. I hadn't done much with it in a while so I was surely excited and blessed by this pleasant surprise. Thank you.
Then off to care for those over at the Adult Foster Care. What a darling bunch of ladies each one. I have to that I regular do over at this peculiar one. So sweet they are.
Sandy's daughter is going to check on some salon equipment for me. I'm so excited. As I have need of some special pieces that I cannot afford. Maybe they will want to get rid of it or sell it cheap.
Went shopping for hubby this afternoon. He is going to a baby shower. How funny is that!?! Well Lord this husband and wife are going to be so blessed with this gift from you. So I had fun shopping for a new little one. Haven't done that one in a while. Lots of new things out there.
Then CK and I went for an afternoon walk. It is still very gloomy and over cast with sprinkles. But we both enjoyed our walk so very much. It always feel good to get a little walk in, even if it is a short one. I'm thinking I need to get back to the gym. That is what I'm thinking.
Today's lessons have been easy. As they have been just to listen and be willing to switch up the day as it comes. Letting the adjustments flow with ease when you are in control and I don't fight it and try to do it my way. That is never fun! It is a struggle and never ever comfortable when I try to do it my way.
It was great to have house keeping come in and do my floors while I was out last week. They always look so nice after they do them. That is the other lesson of reminder. We have not because we ask not. I asked and I received. Not always on my time table but it comes through. Thank you so very much.
So today was just a little refresher course and review of things learned or what we already knew. Just great reminders to keep us focused and on track. And of course the reflect. Plenty of that reflection going on as we reflect you and your love for each person you place across our path.
Thank you Lord.
I love you and will be looking forward to a whole new set of excitement at the other salon tomorrow in Clackmas. I know you will be right there beside me as you always are.
Love your daughter Beth

Do any of your friends go to the same salon or hairdresser as you?

Wee Bit Of Me Wednesday~

So I'm a bit behind this day. And most likely will be for the next few months as I have taken on some added responsibility. I will try and stay up with all these wonderful little links and getting to know one another. I so enjoy doing them as well.
So if you are at all interested in joining in this is over at "Leigh Ashley"

http://leighashley.blogspot.com/

{one} if you won a trip to Disneyland/world, who would you take with you?

Well defiantly my husband. So then I would love to take my entire family which would be my three daughters and their families. Which is a total of ten grandchildren. I couldn't imagine going without them. It is where kids love to be and adults become kids again.

{two} when was the last time you listened to a CD?

Today! I play CD's in the salon everyday I'm there. The ladies love the music and it is so very nice to listen to as I'm doing their hair. It relaxes them if they are stressed too.

{three} what spice/seasoning is your favorite?

I'm a salt and pepper girl for sure!

{four} if you were in a band, what kind of music would you play?

WOW! I love so many different kinds that is a tough one. Hmmm....
I'm a die hard rock and roll fan. So Id say rock and roll. But.. I like the blues too.

{five} if you could have personally witnessed one historical event, which one would it be?

Id say the civil war. Any part of it. Maybe something to do with the under ground railroad.

{six} if you could go back to school, what would you study?

Law and photography.

{seven} if you could go to one sporting event, all expenses paid, which one would you see?

Indy 500!

{eight} do you drive an automatic or a manual?

I drive an automatic.

{nine} are you comfortable speaking in front of people?

I get very nervous! But yes I have spoke in front of people and still do in some forums. I would love to be a speaker. Even though it makes me sick to my stomach nervous. It is a challenge I love it.

{ten} have you ever experienced an earthquake?

Yes! More times than I care to mention. It is a very strange feeling. Im grateful Ive never been hurt or lost anyone. Praise the Lord!

Do you enjoy the getting to know me questionaires?

Where was the loud noise coming from?
I knew I would have to find it soon.
As the riches joys come from living life loud and boldly.
I would search high and low
The persuasive sounds where drawing me in.
I had to find them.
As the persuasive noise was drawing me in
That was ringing loudly all around
Who and what was making the richest sounds
Of joyful living
And living boldly
The loud noise was drawing me in
I felt all the richer for finding the
Loud, persuasive, riches, sound
That came from my happy home
~Beth~

Does the noise in your home draw you to join in on the fun?

365 Days Of Pictures ~Day 35

This photo was taken in Tacoma Washington.
I didn't realize when I was taking the picture of the building in the back which is the Hotel "Murano" that we were staying at. That the front building had so much glass on it and was reflecting the beautiful clouds in the sky.
Guess I should pay more attention. But I was focused on taking a photo of the hotel building. I missed out on the glass building which is just spectacular.
When I loaded the pictures up I fall in love with this building with the clouds. The reflection of the clouds and the beautiful blue sky day they were having was so wonderful.
I'm just sad I didn't notice that before, so that I could have gotten a  bit more centered on the building. I love the awesome picture of that glass building as well  as finding out more information on the building it self.
It was almost sad we had to be in instead of out enjoying the day. Though it did start raining a bit later. That is the Pacific North West for you.

Glass Beauty Of Reflection

Do you ever realize when your taking photos when you get home you missed out on something spectacular?

Write-A-Letter Wednesday~ Weatherman

Sun Breaking
Dear Weatherman,
I know you really don't control the weather. But... really! Enough is enough of this Ol' man Winter, It needs to go away until next year.
You see I'm falling deeply into a place of darkness and despair of depression without my lovely sunshine.
So, you see Mr. Weatherman it is of  great urgency that you find some sunshine and warmer weather quickly before I fall into the deep abyss of darkness. Where only ugliness and unhappiness awaits me. I so much would not like to go there. But would much rather enjoy the light of sunshine with all its warmth and laughter of the shrill joys of children playing gleeful outside. Do you think you could help? Please!?!
Mr. Weatherman do you think you might be able to find in your pile of charts and data any good news that may appear as some sort of  good weather or substances of Spring at all? It truly is of the utmost urgency of importance to me and many others you see.
Without it I may not be able to find my way out of the dark abyss. This would be like a terrible nightmare that one would rather not experience at all.
Could you please pull out some bags of tricks. Maybe find an old chart that claims that Spring is here and that there is a break in the weather pattern of Ol' man Winter. That states that the weather is a changing.
That the sun is appearing with 60 degree  plus weather at least. I'm sure those charts and data must exist somewhere in your bag of tricks. Lets just play a trick on Ol' man weather. He wouldn't mind I'm sure.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate some warmer brighter weather with some lovely sunshine to wash away the Ol' Winter man blues.
Bring on the Spring so I might pull out my dancing shoes.
The lack of sun that provides us with that wonderful vitamin "D"; that I'm lacking and so are many others I'm sure. It could change our out look and disposition's greatly. It could bring us the life line that we have been looking for all Winter long. We are ready to come out of hibernation and play and frolic in the Spring into early fall. Our dancing shoes have been awaiting us all Winter long. They are now ready to come out and play. So if you could please arrange this small request.
If you could just arrange a small glint of that Spring time weather with the sun peeping through the clouds and tree branches that would be greatly appreciate by me and many others.
My shades and sandals are waiting for our date. It has been a long cold Winter and we are so ready to say good-bye!
Good-bye to the cold wet damp weather of Winter.
Good-bye to the heavy Winter clothing and linen that keeps us warm and cozy.
Good-bye to the dark gloomy days of Winter.
Hello to Spring and Summer!
So if you could please get out those charts and data that say the sun is here to stay with warmer weather. I'm sure the birds will sing louder and the butterfly's will dance and all the flowers will bloom in the fragrant beauty to delight us all. You see there is so many reasons to bring out the sun Mr. Weatherman.
So I besiege you please find those charts and data to arrange the weather that agrees with the Spring and Summer pattern of weather.
Thank you for your attempt to help change this long cold Winter into the season of beauty which is known as Spring with its warm sunshine and blue sky's of beauty.
Signed
Tired Of Winter

Lent Letter's To God~ 21

Hey lord,
It is me Beth! It is so gloomy with all this rain Lord! I think I'm going to float away. They say this is the fifth rainiest season here in Portland. Not sure if that is right... but okay.
I received a wonderful call from my dear friend Crystal this morning. Thank you for starting my day with love and prayers from her.  It is always wonderful to start the day with a fun phone call from friends from afar then a time of prayer. Thank you for all those who you have placed in my life that just call with such love then pray. I just love that Lord. I surely have been blessed with many friends like that from you. Thank you!
Today was hubby's birthday, the day you blessed us with him. Thank you for the gift that he has been.
I had to work most of the day so he spent the day running around by himself. Though we had a nice dinner out. We love those "hot wings." Yummy! In the tummy!
I was pondering once again on the that statement, "I make a difference." Sometimes I just done see it Lord. I was sharing and thinking about this. As each person in this world makes a difference to someone somehow. That is so huge when I think about it. It is so encompassing.
I sometimes don't think how I can truly make that big of difference to anyone. But then I think of all the things that you have given me in talents and gifts that do make a difference even when I don't think it is. Or just being at the right place at the right time to share something with someone that they may not have been able to have unless I was there at that peculiar given time. I think of the man with the dog today on the side of the road. Yes! Just something that small does make a difference. It did to him. Thank you for showing me that today.
It is funny how we take for granted so much in our lives and the effects we have on others including complete strangers. I think of this blog and how I put things out there. Even when it maybe uncomfortable. How it may effect or touch someone and help them or give them food for thought.
I know you brought me to this wonderful blog world. I think of the many people I already enjoy and how they have touched my life and those that I just have dropped by and said "Hi" too. What their written word has said to me and how it has touched me. I thank you for each one Lord and how you have brought them all together in this blog world to share what you have placed in each one of their hearts to share. I just pray that  my written words are doing the same Lord.  That you have a grand purpose for this journey of growing through the blog world and meeting wonderful and talented women and even men Lord. That share their world with me that I wouldn't have the opportunity to see or be apart of otherwise. What a wonderful gift this blog world  is to be Lord.
Just thinking and pondering upon all these things today Lord. Mostly just thinking and pondering upon "I do make a difference." I'm sure there is much more for me to glean out of this one and will be thinking upon it for a while longer.
Well Lord today has been gloomy, but there are so many wonderful signs of you in it everywhere. I just need to remember that you are watering me like you are this earth with all this rain; so that we might grow into the flowers that you want me to. So that I  might shine brightly your love and grace to this world. Just another reflection of your beauty and what you want us to reflect to others.  Thank you for each life lesson you place there for me to learn and grow Lord.
Love you.
I will be searching all the corners of  my world for your wonderful gifts tomorrow Lord.
Goodnight with much love
Your daughter Beth

How is the weather in your neck of the woods?

Hubby's Birthday

Today is hubby's birthday!
Happy Birthday to a very special man!
Happy birthday to the man that has loved me for almost half my life.
You have loved me and the girls with all your heart. Through a many ups and downs. You have stood by us unfailing in your love and support of us. You have never wavered in your commit and promise you made to me on our wedding day. To love and cherish not only me but my three beautiful daughters.
The love you had for me and the girls has only grown through the years. You have given us room to grow to become the people we are created to be.
You have stood by the girls and loved them as your very own. You adore each grandchild with wide eye wonder and amazement. The grandchildren adore their Poppa with all their heart. And you them.
The day the Lord brought you into our lives we had no idea that you would change our lives forever.
I cherish each day we have been given filled with all the memories and love that only you could have given us.
You make each day an adventure filled with new memories to make and hold onto.
You have wiped our tears held our hands. You have danced with joy and kissed each one of us with love in your eyes.
You have ran the marathon of parenting with me raising the girls. The scraped knees, the long school reports for finals, The math problems that I have no idea how to solve. The tender moment of the first love and the broken heart.
The biggie learning to drive. Oh how I'm so glad we had the auction yard for that adventure and the crazy fun we had with them learning!
The turning of age wasn't easy, but you held my hand and went along with the ride. The ride of our life's with the girls. Thank you for always loving us and being there to pick us up and dance or wipe the tear from our eye.
On the vacation trips that we took that could make a movie scene.  You always took them in stride with much humor and laughter; that have made the live time memories for the books in this family.
You have laughed and cried and jumped with joy, sang and danced with us. We mostly love it when you sing to us. You have such a beautiful voice. I dream of the day you will sing "Amazing Grace" in church!
You even attempted teaching us all Spanish. Well... the girls anyways. You said I butchered the English language you couldn't see me butcher another one. I laugh so hard over that one to this day as the girls do as well. It is true I would. I love you honey! Thank you for making Spanish and English both fun and funny for a life time. Maybe we all could learn another language as well and see how well we do with it. Or maybe we will continue with the one I make as I go along. Which is always good for a laugh or two.
I look forward to celebrating your special day. The day the Lord gave us you. May you have the best birthday every my love. You are my love. I look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with you "OL' MAN"! I love you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Please come dance with me
Over the top we will go whirling around
Pausing here and there as we see the world
Popping with laughter as we go
Amusing them all with the dance of love
                                                                 ~Beth~

Do you have big birthday parties at your home for those you love on their birthdays?

365 Days Of Pictures ~Day 34

I couldn't resist not sharing one more photo from "Mor Mor" restaurant. As I shared yesterday. So I thought I would post this one today. Such a very stylish bathroom don't you think? So many chairs in a one stall restroom. LOL! Such laughter we all had. I thought maybe an audience? Who knows? So who are you entertaining? They had plenty of chairs outside as well. I just think this is so fun! Again it is a must stop and enjoy! If not a meal at least a cocktail. Very lovely establishment. They have plenty of photos all over for you to enjoy as well from the family vaults I'm sure. As well as some historical. Again the link is:

As most of you know I live in the Pacific North West. It is God's country, hand painted beauty that is breathe taking. If you have never been here it is worth the vacation trip to come and visit. Make sure to bring warm clothes and a camera.
Today on my Face Book page a friend of mine posted this. I just loved it. It so describes the Pacific North West perfectly. And if you know me you'd laugh your head off. I love hot hot weather. Hate the darn cold wet rainy stormy weather.
I am from the Pacific North West; grew up here off and on all my life. Born in Washington state. Live in Oregon. But stayed in beautiful sunny California after graduation for many many years most of my adult. Then moved back here. Still love it here but want the hot hot weather. Darn I cannot figure a way to have both. Working on that one.
Maybe becoming a snow bunny. In Winter head to hot sunny places come back home here in the mid Summer to Mid October. I'm sure there is a seasonal plan for me.
But loved this so much I just has to share it.
Hope you like it.

You might be from the Pacific Northwest if: You know the state flower (Mildew) You feel guilty throwing aluminum cans or paper in the trash. Use the statement "sun break" and know what it means. You know more than 10 ways to order coffee. You know more people who own boats than air conditioners. You feel overdressed wearing a suit to a nice restaurant. You stand on a deserted corner in the rain waiting for the "Walk" Signal. You consider that if it has no snow or has not recently erupted, it is no a real mountain. You can taste the difference between Starbucks, Seattle's Best, and Tully's. You know the difference between Chinook, Coho, and Sockeye salmon. You know how to pronounce Sequim, Puyallup, Issaquah, Oregon, Yakima and Willamette. You consider swimming an indoor sport. You can tell the difference between Japanese, Chinese and Thai food. In winter, you go to work in the dark and come home in the dark while only working eight-hour days. You never go camping without waterproof matches and a poncho. You are not fazed by "Today's forecast: showers followed by rain," and "Tomorrow's forecast: rain followed by showers." You cannot wait for a day with "showers and sun breaks." You have no concept of humidity without precipitation. You know that Boring is a town in Oregon and not just a state of mind. You can point to at least two volcanoes, even if you cannot see through the cloud cover. You notice, "The mountain is out" when it is a pretty day and you can actually see it. You put on your shorts when the temperature gets above 50, but still wear your hiking boots and parka. You switch to your sandals when it gets about 60, but keep the socks on. You have actually used your mountain bike on a mountain. You think people who use umbrellas are either wimps or tourists. You knew immediately that the view out of Frasier's window was fake. You buy new sunglasses every year, because you cannot find the old ones after such a long time. You measure distance in hours. You often switch from "heat" to "a/c" in the same day. You use a down comforter in the summer. You carry jumper cables in your car and your wife knows how to use them. You design your kid's Halloween costume to fit under a raincoat. You know all the important seasons: Almost Winter, Winter, Still Raining (Spring), Road Construction (Summer), Deer & Elk season (Fall). You actually understood these jokes and will probably forward them!

Lent Letter's To God~ 20

Dear God,
I'm feeling rather challenged this evening. I'm not sure exactly why, but I am.
I feel frustrated as though I'm not accomplishing what I need to do and learn what you have for me.
Today has been a very tough day for me.
It most be some serious growing pains going on!
I feel like I'm struggling to find or do something.
Longing for something I cannot figure it out.
Hoping I haven't made a complete waste of my day.
I so appreciate everything you do and bless me with.
I guess it is the crazy emotions and hormones that are off.
I started my day late.
The sun was beautiful while it was out I so enjoyed it thank you so much.
I also got a few extra things done unexpectedly today as well. That was nice.
Tonight at meeting I realized what I learned on Friday evening at the Mary Kay conference. That I already knew but it re-enforced it. That I do make a difference even when I don't see it or know it. Those you place in my life and those that I come in contact with. I make a difference thank you for re-enforcing that. I think I will meditate on that for awhile.
I'm just really having a tough time this evening.
Thank you for your blessing through the day.
I love you and am looking forward to the day tomorrow and what it will hold for me.
Love you
Goodnight you daughter Beth

How's your Monday ending?

Lent Letter's To God~ 19

Dear Lord,
It appears somehow I missed a day in writing to you. I don't know how that happened because I know I have sat down and wrote you everyday for the past twenty days. And somewhere in cyber space is one of my letters to you. I find that so strange. It is hard to replicate what I have wrote what was on my mind and what I shared and learned. I'm so sad. So this is just a short note to catch up and then this evening when i get home from my meeting I will write another one. As I really want to be able to not be behind or lost in this . I feel it is so very important. That you are revealing and showing me things that are so very important to me personally as I grow in my walk with you. I love you so much.
Thoughts Of Spring
Love you Beth

Do you ever loss things in cyber space?

PlayDate ~At the Movies

I was delighted to be able to go to the show this Sunday afternoon. Imagine my delight when I found out I could go see a movie and get popcorn all for under ten dollars. It actually only cost me six! Yes! I said six! Isn't that rather amazing? I would say, "Yes!" that is God's good grace. I haven't been to a show since I don't know when. I was invited to go with my girlfriend her mom and sweet lovely daughter. We went and saw "Tangled" a Disney production and presentation. Wonderful movie! Well written and back to its original roots of the heroine, the night and shining armour, along with the wicked witch. With a sweet love story to boot. It had something for everyone in each age group. It's going to be a classic for sure. It had a wonderful little love plot with comedy and humor along with some wonderful life lessons. It actually had some wonderful cinema photography as well.
How does this all fit into a play date with God?
Well it so happened it was at a nickle arcade.
Yes! One that is actually a nickle! I was rather surprised myself at this as well.
That would explain the wonderful price of the theater.
I was so memorized my all the activity and fun going on. The children and their parents, even some grandparents as well. All having more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
So was wishing my precious darling grandchildren lived nearer to me so we could have some fun together here at the arcade.
Surreal laughter and screams of pure joy coming in every direction.
This is defiantly where the Lord is having a play date!
Anytime that children are screaming with laughter you know your in the right place at the right time.
You just jump in and join them in the fun!
So I knew I was.....
And I'm going to be apart of it! I surely don't want to miss out. Not at all! Where God is playing that is where I want to be!
One little girl was putting coins into a machine to push more coins down to receive tickets. I was so fascinated I was unable to move from my spot in which I was standing. As was my girlfriends mom. When her daughter and her came out of the ladies room she said you two didn't get far. No we hadn't. I was having so much fun watching these sweet angels from heaven playing and screaming, "Mom, look what I got!"
They where jumping, smiling and laughing. Such joy it was to be in a room full of children and see even the adults being as children as well.
Who would want to leave such joy and excitement for any other activity.
This was surely pure bliss!
What a wonderful afternoon spending time with great friends, watching a good movie, becoming as a child and watching children all around me become over joyed with laughter and fun in a nickle arcade of amusement.
I gave up work to play and found myself having so much fun! Sometimes it is worth taking time and becoming like a child for a day or afternoon.  I had so much fun I can hardly wait for the next date of play in the afternoon.
So you see how I found God on this play date at the theater in a movie? I just seem to find Him everywhere. I love that He shows himself everywhere I am. I don't want to leave home without Him;
 always next to my side.
Playing right alongside of me showing me the way.

Proverbs 17:22
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

I believe this website is for all of the Wunderland nickel arcades In the state of Oregon. I just think this is so wonderful. Something affordable that the whole family can enjoy. I'm so glad and happy to see things like this come back into fashion. I remember the arcades from when I was young as well as the miniature golf. Which I loved. I think I may have to find one of those and go play when it stops raining. And go carts too!
