Cleaning up cameras and getting them ready for all the photos of 2014 and the adventure's ahead.
I love the Christmas lights of the Grotto and had several of them I hadn't seen or posted.
The one above truly caught my eye.
The cloud of light above the church is amazing to me.
Or is that the pine tree with the light hitting creating a natural beauty in the night light?
Oh I do believe it is the pine tree!
Which is creating even more peaceful heavenly beauty.
I so do love this picture!
Of course I love how they have the church lite up and all the people headed in to hear the concerts that will be performed. It was a lovely night.

 This one is a close up of the lights on the church and you can see the beautiful stain glass windows.

I love this place and I always find such peace here.

When you visit this beautiful area might I suggest you pop on over and enjoy the peaceful sanctuary and solitude at the Grotto.

The prayer room and the gardens are wonderful.

1. That I was very beautiful.....I was in the ladies room where I was at so I could learn to do a ladies hair. Pin curls!

2. It was very nice of me to drove over and take time out of my schedule to learn to do her hair. Of course I would! That is the right thing to do. Thank you Gayle on all of these lovely words and graces.

3. Not sure its so much over heard as it was experienced. It had to do with a slice of free pie at Shari's restaurant. They honored it though it was for another Shari's. I thought they all where the same. Thank you for honoring. Nice grace!

Day Adventure At Multnomah Falls

Today I went out with my girlfriend Carol on a little driving adventure down the scenic highway to Multnomah Falls.

Of course we made many stops along the way as we viewed and took in all the beauty surrounding us.

It was an amazing day. 

We even got a late start and still had a full day.

I got some different views and photos of the Falls that I have never had opportunity to take before. Very pleased with them.

This one is a view of the Falls coming in at the left side instead of the right.

Love all the foliage and beauty that was captured.

The Lodge at Multnomah Falls

It was a wonderful day to stop and have lunch.

In all the years coming here I never recall stopping and having lunch here.

What a wonderful treat and great meal we had.

The lodge inside is a wonderful warm rustic place.

The fireplace was burning and we were seated right next to it.

There were beautiful photos or maybe painting on the wall.

They still had their Christmas trees up so it was very festive.

Oh the food was excellent as well!

What a great idea and suggestion to eat here.

I will do it again!

Multnomah Falls

Here we can see both levels of the fall and the bridge.

The snow lining the river bed.

Bare trees giving a window view that we wouldn't see in the Spring or Summer.

I have chills looking at this photo as I was so cold today when I was there.

I usually have layers and layers of clothing on.

But....not today.

I never tire of the beauty of this scenic area I live in.

No matter the season the weather it is always is beautiful.

I always feel so rested and refreshed when I leave here.

Day 2~ A gift outside, inside, on a plate

My gift outside is all the beauty I had the pleasure to take in today on the Scenic Hwy headed to Multnomah Falls and Horsetail to mention a few along with all the other views we took in on our adventure. So fun thank you Carol Miller.

Inside was the beautiful fireplace at the lodge at the Falls and the pretty Christmas trees. And the amazing paintings on the walls. WOW! So rustic and pretty. The great company catching up. Really was so much fun! All the times I have been there I had never been inside the lodge for a meal. Well worth it!

On my plate was a delicious meatloaf sandwich with homemade golden chips. Very yummy! So glad we decided to have lunch there.

A perfect day!

Thankful Thursday

Here we are on Thankful Thursday!

What better way to start a day!

No better time then Now!

With a list full of thankfuls

Each one  fills my heart daily with the richness of His glory and love for me!

I have so many wonderful things to be thankful for

So lets get started.

Isn't it wonderful to be able to make a list and share all the many blessing that you are thankful for?

I know I'm very excited to share the wonders of the Lord through my thankful list

What about you?

1. For the time off the past two weeks as we have celebrated the birth of our Savior and the birth of a New Year

2. Great shopping adventures with girlfriends and the great bargains and finds

3. The New Year wishes from loved ones and friends far and near

4. A full Monday and Tuesday of client's at the salon

5. Movie night with hubby - watched "The Family"

6. Knowing I make a difference in someones life

7. God's favor

8. Surprise gifts from friends that brighten my day with love

9. Seeing how the Lord has stretched our fiances this past year in ways that only He could ~ Thank you Lord!

10. Getting my hair done on New years Eve day for the New Year! Truly was a blessing that I wanted and was surprised by Melody when she came to the salon and did my hair for me.

11. Timely fitted messages and words sent via those who the Lord knew would deliver; sent in various ways to show His hand of love upon me and my family. Answered prayers and needs being meet. Only He would have known as no one knew. Thank you Lord!

12. Smiles sent across the phone lines and text messages that bring joy to my heart in ways that I never knew could exist.... making me feel special 

13. Knowing God has a great future ahead for me

14. Sleeping in

15. Lunch bought for me 

16. Being a grandma to the ten most amazing grandchildren anyone could possible have

17. Hot showers and warm fuzzy jammies

18. Storage buckets for tax papers purchased at 50% off

19. Getting all the old calendars of 2013 down and all the new ones for 2014 put up

20. The joy and hope I feel for the coming year waiting for me to unwrap and enjoy!

More Snowmen!!!

Yes! I found more snowman and I wasn't going to add any more this year. 

But....so it goes!

My girlfriend Edie had me laughing. She said snowman in my house multiply like rabbits.

I laughed so hard and had to agree.

Asked how hubby was taking all the snowmen coming in. 

I told her I think he is numb to it.

It is a fact in this house. 

They kinda grow on you.

The little beauty above was found at Pier 1 Imports in clearance.

How could I not purchase this beauty.

Came in a lovely box as well.

I did manage not to buy every snowman in sight.

Found the diffusers at Pier 1 as well.
Just thought this was a fun little item.

I most likely could have lived with out.

But....

I love Wintergreen scent as well.

Perfect scent for the Christmas season as well as the Winter months.

No! I didn't purchase this beauty!
He was a gift in a snowman bucket not pictured here.

The bucket was stuffed with little goodies for hubby and I!
And this pin was one of the items.

Just love this jolly happy snowman.

I can hardly wait to wear him.

It was a wonderful unexpected surprise and gift.

And yet another pleasant surprise and gift as well from my friend Becky!

WOW!
I think my friends know me well!

She brought him over the day I did her make over hair and make-up.

What a fun day that was.

She presented me with him along with the snowman socks.

Told me it was an early birthday present.

Seems I'm getting all my birthday presents in December and early January.

I wont be getting any on my birthday at this rate.

Maybe I can have my birthday year round and gifts all year!

Wouldn't that be fun!

I have others that were added as well.

I did restrain today while shopping. I didn't purchase nay snowmen.

Well.....kinda I didn't.

I did buy snowmen wrapping paper. For two huge rolls only 2.50 a bargain at that.
