Dressing the landscape with
The beauty of Spring

With rain drop kisses
Each petal 
Creased in a water pearl
Bringing new life
As Spring
Burst forth

Today I started my new schedule at the beauty shop.

I will be working on Wednesdays instead of Fridays.

Though for the next two weeks I will be working on Fridays as we all adjust to the new day.

Praying the Lord bless this new work schedule and day.

It was quiet today.

But am looking forward to what the future holds.

It has bee a rather rainy gloomy day here in the PNW.

Seems it is here to stay with us for the next ten days...or...longer.

Coming home from Vancouver this evening crossing the Glen Jackson freeway coming back to Portland was this stunning rainbow. 

Sadly driving 75miles an hour is hard to get a great photo of the rainbow. 

It truly was much prettier than what you see in this photo.

The sky this evening was amazing once again.

The painted sky lately has been breathe taking.

 After getting home I was greeted with yet more beautiful sites in the evening sky once again.

I had to drop everything i had to snap this photo.

I love the color and formations of the clouds.

The light breaking through the storm.

Much like how God breaks through our storms.

His perfect promise and the breaking of the storm bringing His perfect peace and calm.

Ready for the day and what lays ahead.

It was a quiet day at the beauty shop had one client today.

So headed home and then unloaded the car.

Then headed to the movies with a couple of girlfriends.

We did the movie scene today in two different theater houses.

First show we saw was "Divergent" It was excellent and much different than what I thought.

Second movie was "God's Not Dead" Super excellent.

They got the message across so well.

Truly enjoyed my day of movies.

Now this day is coming to a close and tomorrow is a new day.

A gift sung, written, painted

The gift sung would be all the wonderful music and songs sung in "God's Not Dead" movie! EXCELLENT!!!

Written would be the letter from the Circuit Court today dismissing my case and clearing my name. Yea! I don't have to go to court! I have the letter from the Judge himself! God is good!

Painted would be the beautiful sky tonight with the rainbow and the clouds...Amazing beauty lacing the sky this evening!

I miss my grandpa so much!

Thankful for the time we had with him.

So happy this photo was taken with him

My mother did a lot of arranging for this

As my daughter, her son and I lived in California at the time

Mom lived in Nebraska at the time

And grandpa in Seattle, Washington.

We had this done in Seattle on a visit.

Arranging that we all could be there at the same time.

That was a trick in of itself with scheduling.

Day 17

A gift turned, folded, hung

A turned gift would be the pages of the book I'm reading...or one of the few that I'm working on anyways. As I turn the pages.

Folded is the wonderful gift of towels that Shari Whitlock blessed me with today. Which was an answer to one of my many small prayers that I have need of for my salon. Thank you Shari! And thank you Lord!

Hung gift would be the picture of my mom and dad on the wall in the living room on loan to me from my sister's. They are beautiful. Should take a photo of them and share them with you all. Blessings

March 16~ Shadows

Today I wasn't going to get any new photos or shadows.

It has been overcast and gray all day.

Then this afternoon the rain came.

So Thank you I had photos with some shadows that I hadn't deleted from camera yet.

The tree top are taken around the apartment complex.

Love the one with the snow and the sun creating shadows from the trees.

Then one from a lunch out playing guess where I am.

Then the other five are from my Florida trip in December.

What a great time it was!

Lord, cleanse my soul as the beautiful snow, and help me resist temptations.

New App

The above photo is one that has Spring blooming in full beauty!

Having so much fun!

Loving the sun and the sights, sounds and smells of the Spring air!

Instead of doing what I really needed to be doing today;

I was hiding.

I am running you see...

It is easier to hide and not deal with issues.

My plate feels over whelming

So last night I started looking at camera apps.

Its my new place to run and hide from the world.

I take my afternoons walks....

Get lost in the beauty of the afternoon.

I take lots and lots of photos...

Of just about anything you can dream of.

Then I play on the phone camera with all the fun apps.

Not suggesting this to anyone as a place of escape. 

The problems still are there when I'm done running and playing.

But...

For a small bit I was in never~ever~land where kids never grow up.

My mind re-focused on something fun and happy instead of the troubles of the day.

But then reality will set in...

Then we will have to deal with life once again.

In the meantime fun is at hand!

The two photos above are from the same area.

But from two different outings.

So my avoidance was for the better part of the day;

 As I played with all these new fun apps. that I had found.

finding the perfect photos to put in these wonderful picture frames.

So many to chose from.

I will pay later for this avoidance behavior;

 I'm sure in the not so near future.

like maybe tomorrow!

I truly will have to crack down and get my chores done.

As well as some business that needed tending too.

Tomorrow is another day.

I think sometimes running and hiding from life can be therapeutic.

It will bring a fresh perspective on issues.

So in the meantime I will enjoy the

Silence of the quiet beauty!

As you see I was having lots of fun with the apps 

I found between last night and today.

Really a very un-productive day.

But relaxing and reflective,

With lots of prayers as well.

I know I cannot stay in this slump forever.

God is faithful and loves us.

He will never leave us or forsake us

He will not leave us begging for bread

He will always make away of escape

Where we are weak He is made strong

His grace is sufficient for me

So ....

With His love and grace I know all things will work together for His good and His glory.

I wanted to so something different and still be black and white.

I have been downloading and playing with new camera apps with different frames and effects.

I had this picture from awhile back.

It had been done in etchings from a friend.

I really love this photo.

Thought these ladies are some of the flowers and gifts in my life.

Perfect for today's challenge.

I really thought about doing something different....

But am really seeing some of the creativity come out in the challenge an still achieve what they are asking for.

So much fun!

A gift in the wind, in water, in white
In the wind would be the beauty I saw out my front door this morning when the breeze was blowing through the bushes and trees. It was like the Lord was kissing me on the cheek saying good morning to me.
Water would be the gift of having fresh water everyday running through the pipes of our home for so many uses that we take for granted daily.
White is the paper I write and print off of for so many things daily ....notes...goals...to do list...My joys.....and so much more.

Wishing my beautiful daughter Racheal a very Happy Birthday!

I cannot believe my baby is 33 today.

It seems like yesterday I was holding her for the very first time.

Now a mom herself to two beautiful children.

I truly have been richly blessed!

Today was full of hope as I started out the day.

My how things change quickly.

Extremely thankful for friends that know how to lift you up and turn a day around.

Lunch out with the girls and some retail therapy goes a long ways.

Then some laughs on the phone with a friend put huge smiles on my face.

Funny how quickly things can turn around and around.

God is so faithful and good.

March 11~ Clouds

These photos I have taken over the past week here around the neighborhood and on some of my walks.

I love taking photos of clouds. 

I think it could be one of my favorites to take along with trees.

There were actually no clouds in the sky today.

Which was strange since we have had so many over the past few weeks.

So glad I hadn't dumped all my photos out of my camera phone yet.

But am getting ready too.

Lord, help me to remember that there are many ways to rejoice in any kind of day you make for us.
