365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 346

This is the lovely Jean getting a perm.
I gave her a perm on January 13th 2012.
She went home to be with the Lord on Monday 16th of January 2012.
She was the last of my original clients from the date that I started four years ago.

It was very hard to say goodbye to her.
She missed her Birthday by two weeks.
She would have been 93 she said.

I don't think she had only a handful of grey hairs.
Enough hair for four ladies.

She was an absolute delight to have in the salon and see every week.
She brought me much joy.
She always asked what she could pray for.
She sang for us
She had been in choir her entire life.

They said when she was saying her goodbyes she was singing I'm going to let this little light of mine shine.
I cried and cried.
I usually don't re-act in so many tears.
As when you work with them at this age you know it is coming.
Some just hit harder than others.

I have wanted to post about Jean for a bit but it has been very tough.
I have several others that I have lost in the past few months.
It has been one right after another for months.
So I really haven't posted about it.
I try to stay up and positive.

But I need prayers as the salon isn't doing well and I don't know if I will be able to keep the doors open.
So I'm asking for prayers.
I love this job and see it as a minister to them and the families.

I love each one of my ladies so very much.
Thank you for your prayers and love of encouragement.

Lord be with Jeans family!

R.I.P.
Jean

Oh Bethe, how sad that Jean passed away only three days after that photo was taken. It must be very hard for you, to keep seeing your ladies going home to the Lord. I'm sorry to hear about the Salon my friend, and of course I will hold you in my prayers, and hope for brighter things. Take care - onwards and upwards.
