Prompt: "My mother turned 80 today."
Number of words: 105 words (including the five word prompt)
1933 - 2013
My mother turned 80 today!
Eighty!
Lets throw a bash
Eight decades of living
Living life
Making history
Oh yes!
Loves
Sorrows
Joys
So much crammed into this life
The Children
All eight of them
One for each decade
eighteen grandchildren
Representing a good life
All surrounding mom
On this day
That we celebrate her
And the day
The world was gifted with her
Spirit for life
Wit and charm
Her zeal for life
All wanting to know
Her secret to life
Her petite little frame
Sitting in her favorite chair
Spinning the tales
Of her youth as we
sit surrounding her
With eyes gazing towards her
As each hang on every word spoken
Waiting
To learn her secret
The secret of
Living a full life
Of love
~Beth~
Well....I went over once again. This time 25 words. Maybe next week!

Ankle After Work 1-8-2013 |
Below is two fundraiser links to help with medical bills.
We have no medical insurance to cover medical.
As I have just started back to work there is still not much of an income.
I will not see a pay check until mid January.
I also am not working the jobs I once had as I am unable too.
I was also released from one of my jobs that paid a bulk of the bills.
Through much prayers and through encouragement of some friends they suggested I give these a try.
Though only two people have responded.
God has been faithful in other ways.
Medical bills are piling up.
Just the few that have arrived already are near $30,000 plus.
And still coming in.
God is faithful and I trust this is alp going to be paid in full;
and every need meet through Him
Thank you!

That was lovely...sweet sentiments, well done !!! :)
Long life.. hmm... I think abundant life is what I'm aiming for- and the secret to that is falling madly in love with Jesus, I think. Love your post here- beautiful words.
25 extra words? Well, we don't care! We loved it!
Oh, your poor ankles! The only time my ankles swelled like that was when I was pregnant(see my Alphabe-Thursday for last week on Jenny's blog).
Word count, schmird count!
Who cares when you shared such a great poem with us!
Sending you a prayer and a hug for healing. That must be incredibly old for you, sweetie!
