Prompt From Dodge Writes

The rules are you must use 8 of the 10 words as they are given, in prose or any form of poetry....
Today's words are ...SPLIT, FORGED, TAUNTS, FARM, CLOVER, GLOSSED, WEBS, DEW, STOMPED, FORMULA

You could see and hear the farmer
As he stomped across the field covered in clover
The farm was old and need of much repair
As the rains started to come down
Covering the old farm in the dew of the rain
The rain drops glossed over each one of the webs
That dusted the old red barn
Giving it a diamond gloss of beauty and shine
Which was in need of great repair
One could hear the taunts of the farmer
As each log was split with great force
Echoing through the night air
As the formula being forged with each blow
Each log split for a warm Winter nights fire
Then with a great relief
You could hear the farmer sigh
As he forged his way through the clover and webs
That had been soaked in the rain
As he stomped off towards home
Shaking off the dew drops of beauty and shine
That had been left behind as a sign of things to come

~ Beth~

Have you ever split logs or stacked wood for a long Winter?
