Saturday Centus With Jenny Matlock

A few days late! But have manged to put together and get this challenge put together. It is getting hard to keep up. I thank each and all of you for your continued support as my schedule hasn't allowed me much time. I appreciate each and all of you so much and look forward when I can catch up once again; when my work scheduling eases up. Have an awesome week!

WORD COUNT - 100 WORDS PLUS THE TEN WORDS OF THE PROMPT. Total word count not to exceed 110 words.

THE PROMPT THIS WEEK IS: "The number you have reached is no longer in service"

As I picked up the phone to call home
My heart was pounding
Racing with the last words spoken
Had I only said what was on my heart
Not what was out of angry pain and rage
Then I wouldn't be lost to my family
It had been ten years since we last spoke
As I raced out of the house
As the door slammed behind me
I swore I would never look back or call
But life has changed
I need to talk with them
I need them to know about the baby
She has so little time
The automated recording rang across the the line
"The number you have reached is no longer in service"

~Beth~

Have you ever said something or left with unfinished business that you wish you could take back and change?
