The Simply Woman's Daybook

The Simply Woman's Daybook

http://thesimplewomansdaybook.blogspot.com/

FOR TODAY~

I would like to be able to get to the shower and enjoy the water running down my backside.
Looking forward to when I can do all this on my own with no help.

Outside my window...

The sun is setting. The cool breeze is blowing. The trees have burnt leafs from the hot Summer heat. Grass longing for a long drink of water; to bring back the beauty of the lush green. The stillness of the late Summer evening as it quietly slips into another day.

I am thinking...

How frustrated and tried I am of just laying here on the couch. How much I'm looking forward to be able to learn to walk all over again.

I am thankful...

For everyone who has come and helped during my recovery. For all the prayers, love, and encouragement that are set my way. For the meals that are made, the amazing unexpected  gifts that have made my life so much easier. My list of thanks is endless.

From the learning rooms...(if this applies)

WOW!
I seem to be learning lots during this process of healing and just being still.
That God has amazing gifts for us. They come where we least expect them. That we truly do need one another. That life is much easier when you have someone that cares to come alongside of you and hold your hand.

In the kitchen...

Well.... my kitchen is a pretty amazing place these days. Today it was a place full of color. It was where I got to have my hair colored. Yea!
But this evening it was a place where hubby warmed the dinner that was brought over for us by Penny!
Though it is also a room that is in need of much cleaning.
As much as hubby tries the house is in need of much attention since I have been down.
Especial the kitchen, the floors are in great need of a good scrubbing and mopping.

I am wearing...

My pink night shirt along with my special sock for my ankle and then a little one knit booty sock.

I am creating...

I really haven't been working on any thing creative at this time. Expect if you call my bog creative. I was hoping to find some of my needle point and work on it. I hoping to have hubby find it in my room so that I might work on my needle crafts while I'm laid up.

I am going...

To get over to the hospital this week to give them my finical papers to help with all the medical expenses. Praying for a huge miracle regarding my bills and the money needed for my household expense's as well. God is more than able.

I am wondering...

How hard it is going to be to learn to walk on this foot once again when given the okay.

I am reading...

My bible!
And some awesome blogs!

I am hoping...

That one of my friends will be able to come sty with me for a week when my hubby goes to California for a week.

I am looking forward to...

To going to see the doctor next week to see how I am doing. What the next step is into my recovery to walking once again. Getting more of my life back and on track to where it was before I broke my ankle.

I am hearing...

My Hancho bird fluttering her wings.
The sitcom "Everyone Loves Raymond" on TV.
The fans blowing and cooling the house off as it circulates the air.
My hubby's hone dinging in a text from a friend.
Me banging on the keyboard of the computer.

Around the house...

You can find lots of neglect from me being down. Floors needing a good vacuum or scrubbing. Dusting and just everyday household needs,
The living room looking like a nursing home with all the things that I require at arms reach.
Wheelchair, walker, pillows piled high to rest my leg upon.
Water bottles and meds to mention just a few things around the couch to make my life more pleasant.

I am praying ...

For two friends with cancer and their complete healing in Jesus name.
For my friend's hubby who just had a biopsy today.
For my three daughters and their various needs for their families.
For the safe return of my sister as she travels home from Kabul this coming week.
For each person that has helped me that the Lord bless them a hundred fold.
For my continued healing and for my finical needs to be meet. That the 40,000 + medical bill be paid off in full.
Trusting the Lord will work out each detail and that all will be meet in Him.

Below is the fundraisers I was lead by the Lord to start.

Left Ankle With Staples

I am pondering...

How exciting it will be when I can do the things I once did with great ease.

A favorite quote for today...

Which is actual my new motto right NOW!
As I go through this recovery!

One of my favorite things...

Is going on rides with my girlfriend Mary and having lunch out.
Taking pictures of my daily adventures.

A few plans for the rest of the week:

To continue to rest and do as the doctor says. Hoping to get over to the hospital and talk with finical aid. Visits with friends that bring good cheer.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

Time With Friends
John & I
NIV

Psalm 42:8

“By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.”

John 15:13

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
John 15:12-14 (in Context) John 15 (Whole Chapter)

A peek into my day...

Today I was awake early to visit with hubby before he leaves for work.
He sets up my water and snacks that I will need until he comes home for lunch.
Today I got my hair colored by a friend who dropped by.
She brought lunch and we caught up on what is happening in her life and mine.
Then back to resting and propping my leg up.
Hubby came home fixed me a meal.
Then I was ready for my shower that is always an epic event lately.
My life is rather mundane and boring at the moment.
But I do try to get some excitement in some how.
I truly look forward to visit and phone calls from friends. It breaks the day up.

What simply daily events mold your life each day?
