Green vines
Thick and heavy
Dripping with tomatoes
All waiting for the picking

One tomato
Two tomato
Growing on the vine
One green tomato
Waiting to be fried

Red ones
For the eating
Right off the vine
Green ones
For pan frying
plucked from the vine

Each juicy delight
Waiting to be enjoyed
A garden treat
Just waiting to be shared

One tomato
Two tomato
Three
What tomato
Is your delight
Right off the vine

~Beth~

Do you enjoy fresh tomatoes right off the vine? Or green fried tomatoes?

Ankle after work
1-16-2013

Below is two fundraiser links to help with medical bills.
We have no medical insurance to cover medical.
As I have just started back to work there is still not much of an income.
I have only been working about 16 hours a week
Some weeks even as little as four hours a week.
Received our first pay check
It doesn't stretch to far.
Thankful of the work!
I also am not working the jobs I once had as I am unable too.
I was also released from one of my jobs that paid a bulk of the bills.
Through much prayers and through encouragement of some friends they suggested I give these a try.
Though only two people have responded.
God has been faithful in other ways.
Medical bills are piling up.
Just the few that have arrived already are near $30,000 plus.
And still coming in.
God is faithful and I trust this is alp going to be paid in full;
and every need meet through Him
Thank you!

I've missed you, Bethe! I hope you are okay! God is faithful - I only know that because I, too, have experienced it! You are a blessing to many - including me.
hugs!

Lovely poem about tomatoes. I would love to try fried green tomatoes one day, but fresh red ones are pretty good too. :-)

Thanks for sharing. And for stopping by my blog, http://ropcorn.com. Much appreciated. Have a great Sunday.:p

I love tomatoes, but it's hard to find a good one any more. You almost have to grow them yourself or go to a farmer's market.

Beth,
Your poem has me longing for summer!! I love fresh tomatoes sliced thick on homemade pizza :)

Your poem is lovely, Beth. My preference is RED in the garden, off the vine. Second is freshly picked RED from a garden with a little salt. I work on down from there until it is fried green (I do like very much pickled green).

I am sorry to hear about your ankle. It has been a long time since we traded comments.

In Texas, not many people without a lot of means pay nearly all of what is owed on medical bills. I don't know the workings of this but do know that this is a bill that for sure the can't take our homes, cars, and a whole bunch of personal property away from us. They cannot garnish our wages either.

Some people sign collateral in conjunction to repay, perhaps only a fraction of the original owed. Those are often enforceable but may be escapable.

Forgot to say that I can't eat tomato seeds any more. That means no more eating in the garden without a carving knife.

Oh my goodness, your ankle just looks like it feels horrible after a day of work! I pray all goes well faster....! I like your happy tomato poem- and yes I do like them right off the vine- washed of course, and fried green tomatoes, yes, sort of, but even more so the movie, have you seen it? It's a good one!

I've got to say, those tomatoes look delicious. Gotta wait for summer around here to get really "good" tomatoes. I like your creative efforts--it "gets our brain to working" when we take on creative challenges. Mickie :)
