Accountability ~ With Gym and Workouts

Original page

So I injured my back at work yesterday; so I decided not to go to the gym today. I took a nice long walk instead this evening after dinner. I actually went over to the field and school where my CK girl and I use to walk all the time until she wasn't able any longer. It was nice to walk over there. But...at the same time it was kind of hard remembering how much fun I had with her in the field. So I switched up the walk a bit. Walked through the field up around the school, crossed over to the back side of the hospital and up around the front through the parking lot. Crossing back over to the apartments and wandering through them. So I was able to get in some great fresh air and a little exercise as well. I do so much prefer walking out and about then on the tread mill. With the weather getting nicer I will be doing more evening walks after dinner that is for sure. I also thought about doing the 10,000 steps a day. I know that would be an excellent plan for me. I have half heartily tried that before. I need to get one of those pedometer's. Something to think about anyways to add to the gym.

Have you ever done the 10,000 steps a day?

Owing tp back surgery I have to be careful about working out but I do love walking along the beach, with the sound of the incoming tide and it helps sort out day to day problems.
Hope your injury gets better quickly.

Hi Bethe. I think you would be surprised how quickly you could mount those steps up, but getting a Pedometer would definitely help you. Such a shame that CK isn't up to walking so much with you anymore, as I know how you used to enjoy the company. Hope your back is feeling a little easier again now.
