As Summer turns into to Fall, you see the signs all over.
From the cooler weather to the geese in flight going south for the cold Winter days ahead.
In the rivers you will find the geese floating about on one of the last sunny days that welcome Fall.

The truth is that teamwork is at the heart of great achievement.
John Maxwell

NKJV

Proverbs 27:17

As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

Do you enjoy watching the geese and ducks as the migrate south for the Winter?

Short Story Slam Week 11 ~ From Bluebell Books

Bursting bubbles
From tiny itty bitty to
One extremely large
Bubble
One right after another
Swirling and whirling around
A kaleidoscope of sun drenched colors
Bubbles twisting  and twirling about
As one pops
Another emerges
Giggles of laughter
As each chase after
The clear colored beauties
As they float gentle into the sun filled sky
As magical wishes and dreams
Sent to heaven
From the hands of a child
To the Father in heaven

~ Beth ~

Did you like blowing bubbles as a child? Do you do this with your children or grandchildren?

A gentle wash of rain
A cleansing wash
Dripping in lavish beauty
Refreshing dew drops of love
Just as the Father washes us
With His blood of love
So does the rain wash the rose

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 218

The girls resting and waiting upon me after I walk through the gardens at the Grotto. It was such a wonderful journey and peaceful spiritual walk through the upper gardens.
I look forward to doing another one very soon.
It was a bit crowed there the day we went.
But still a wonderful peaceful walk.
We saw a bride and groom in the garden up by the red church.
I will have to post that picture I think I got one of them.
It was a perfect day!
We went on to a late lunch after we left the Grotto.
We went and had a taco salad.

Are you the one waiting or at they waiting on you?

6365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 217

I found this photo on my nephews Face Book photo page. I had no idea this picture existed.
I love it!
The two of them where the best of friends growing up.
I helped to raise my nephew from the time he was 6 years old until he graduated from school.
I'm so very proud of him.
This picture of him and CK brings tears to my eyes.
It is a tender moment of love between two buddies.
You can see the love they both have for one another.
Simple precious love and friendship; unconditional!

Saturday Centus With Jenny Matlock

A little late but got it complete. This over whelming busy schedule leaves little time to blog or read. I thank you all for staying with me and I promise I will get to you all and read some when time permits. Many blessings.

This week we are doing a DIALOGUE story.

All dialogue. Period.

WORD COUNT - 150 WORDS PLUS THE SIX WORDS OF THE PROMPT. Total word count not to exceed 156 words.
STYLE OF WRITING - DIALOGUE ONLY
NO PICTURES - PAINT THE STORY WITH YOUR WORDS
THE PROMPT THIS WEEK IS: "Are you seriously ordering another martini?"

Did you see that beauty whirling around the dance floor?

Hey! The one in the red dress and the red stiletto's? Long dark flowing hair?

Yep! That is the one! She is the girl of my dreams.

Why do you say that?

She is drinking martini's and dancing the night away. Appears to be a girl after my own heart. She not only seems to love dancing and drinking martini's but is a free spirit as she whirls around with those stiletto's saying come dance with me.

Yep! You do like the free spirited martini drinking gals. Especially ones that wear stiletto's, that say come dance! Or is that order me another martini?!

Not necessarily! But..... that works for me.

Now that we have that figured out lets have another round for the good times.

Are you seriously ordering another martini?

Yes! A round for you and I and for the beauty on the dance floor!

****************

Do you like to dance and drink martini's?

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 216

These roses where in the garden over at the Grotto.
I will be sharing a lot of roses in the days ahead.
I seem to have captured some real beauties from a few of the places I have recently visited.
This group of roses reminds me of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as we where at the Grotto on a spiritual journey that day.
The reddish color reflecting the Lords shed blood for our sins.

NKJV

Luke 22:20

Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.'

Scenes from our peaceful nature walk at the "Grotto" on Saturday.
It is a beautiful garden set in the grounds of the Montessori.
It is in the upper level where this is the gardens have a spiritual walk.
I found this entangled beauty tucked away with a photographic frame of the bush and the creek that runs through the nature walk.

365 Days Of Pictures ~ Day 214

As each moment passes
So does each memory made
As the day fades
The memories are made
A friendship
That is made strong through the years
Like the strength of the stem
The leafs thick with stories to tell
Each petal a soft delicate beauty to behold
 Each one a fragrant blessing
Given from above
As a friendship
Which withstands the storms of life
With its long standing love
Each hand selected
Given from heaven above
To enrich the beauty of each day
As we pass through the paths of life
With a blossom of beauty
Called friendship
As beautiful as the rose
Each a petal of beauty
The delicate
Petals of friendship
That blossom into
A life time of memories
To cherish and share a life time
Through the years
A perfect rose
A perfect friendship
That endures the trails and storms
Which make the beauty
So rich and fragrant
As the petals of a rose
So is the petals of friendship

I had the wonderful pleasure of going to Crater Lake this past Sunday!
OH!
Such beauty!
Even the photos look like paintings.
That I know without a doubt are hand painted by God!
The rich history and clarity of this lake.
Which give way to breathe taking views and scenes.
That only God could speak and breathe into existence.
Nothing like it!
How could one deny the Lords hand ....?
When one sees such beauty as this.

NKJV

Nahum 1:5

The mountain's quake before Him,
The hills melt, And the earth heaves at His presence,
Yes, the world and all who dwell in it.

Today is WOW (Words Of Wednesday)

The rules are you must use 8 of the 10 words, as they are given, in prose or any form of poetry...
Today's words are ...
WAFT, BULK, PAWED, BULLET, SCOURGED, HIRED, WILTED, VENT, MOODY, DREAD

The dread of the day
Made all wilt and vent
Each moody as they pawed
Their way through the day
As they bit the bullet

Some wilted under the pressure
Newly hired waft with laughter
Not understanding the pressure
As all bit the bullet
To complete the task at hand

Today's Prompt ~ From Dodge Writes

The rules are you must use all of the colors in the list, in prose or any form of poetry...
Today's colors are...
YELLOW, PUMPKIN, CHARTREUSE, AMBER, GOLD, GREEN, MELON, BLUSH, EMERALD, SALMON

Yellow is the color of the burning rays of light
Of the coming of Autumn
That turn the beauty of the leafs
From emerald green, chartreuse
With the burning amber and gold sunlight
Making the burning colors of beauty
That sprinkle the countryside
In lush rich colors of the rustic
Amber's, golds, reds, browns,
With salmon color running through the veins
With the last flash of Summer end comes Autumn
With large emerald leafs wrapped snuggled around
The pumpkin's in the garden
Ready for the Fall harvest
With melon on the the table of the last

I blush as I think of all the fisherman
As they reel their salmon catch in
With fish tales to tell
