Playdate With God ~ A Bargain

It always amazes me when I go out to get one thing I come home with so much more.
I had actually headed over to Bi-Mart to pick up a note pad and some items for hubby.
I wasn't really looking at all. But ran smack dab into a wonderful bargain bin!
I was going to run in and run right out.
Keep blinders on and not look at anything!
I was on foot which is safe for me.
That means I cannot purchase a lot as I have to carry it home.
I thought Lord this is truly a blessing for me. I have a love for sandals and shoes.
Don't look Beth!
Was running through my head. Don't even stop and gaze upon these little beauties.
But .... I had too, and could not resist the attraction of these little sandals.
I had broken a pair of my favorite ones while walking on Silver Falls, a few weeks ago.
I know this seems to be a strange play date with God.
But doesn't He, not know our hearts desires?
He knows what we have need for before we ask?
He even gives good gifts!
So I knew this was a gift of love from the Father.
One that I could afford and not worry if I spent a dollar.
You see... they were a true bargain, not a need or have to have.
Something I love and enjoy!
They were a dollar a piece.
I got five little pairs of sandals for five dollars.
Cheaper than I could buy one pair for normally.
WOW!
God gives great gifts!
I now have sandals that will see me into next year at a wonderful bargain.
These gifts are a joy to my heart.
Because I know it was just like my Father in heaven to bless me with something so unexpected and so not a need.
Just to brighten my day and put a skip in my walk,
a smile upon my face!
Just because He loves me!
The best part is I knew hubby wouldn't be upset at all either that he would get a giggle out of it too.
As it put a HUGE smile on my face!
I could carry everything home in one little bag!
I didn't over shop or spend.
A little slice of sandal heaven right here!
They will see me through the end of the season and right into next year!
Yes!
God blesses us when we least expect it!

Matthew 7:11

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!'

I do that all the time, Beth! Go for one thing and suddenly my arms are full. I complained to the grocer one day that he needed to leave empty baskets scattered throughout the store for people like me. He said he would!
Love your poem! Very fun!

Herre is my not so fun offering for this week's picnic: http://charleslmashburn.wordpress.com/2011/09/04/blood-on-the-moon-2/

A woman after my own heart! I love bargains. Someone tells me that they like something I have on and I have to, of course, tell them how much (little) I paid for it! =0)
Blessings to you, Bethe!
