"W" Is: WeddingsWith the upcoming events of the royal wedding I thought it would be fun to write about weddings. The Royal wedding being one of the biggest events to happen since the wedding of Prince Charles to Princess's Di.I remember watching Prince Charles wed Princess Di.Staying up awaiting the bride to meet her groom. All the hype not much different from all the activities and festivities of when his mother wed his father so many moons ago.All the world awaiting to watch as the bride goes to meet her groom. Now we await to watch as Kate prepares to wed her prince. As Di did those many years ago to her prince on July 29, 1981. As Prince William and Kate get ready to take their vows to one another on April 29, 2011.All the world awaits.

KJV
Revelations 21:2
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. |
There is another wedding that many await around the world. It is the Royal Wedding like none other before nor will be ever again It isn't splashed all over the news nor pictures of the bride or groom. As the world awaits this royal wedding no one knows the date, nor time. This wedding is in the future where there will be no cameras or hyped activities or festivities of the prenuptial of the pending wedding of the bride to the groom. As the bride awaits her groom she dresses herself in:Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.
KJVGalatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance:against such there is no law. The bride awaits her grooms return. With her light shining brightly and her eyes upon the sky for her Master's return. NKJV 1Thessalonians 4:17 "The dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
NKJV
Isaiah 61:10
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks [himself] with ornaments, And as a bride adorns [herself] with her jewels.
What are your fondest memories of your wedding day?

Lovely post today on weddings, Bethe! And very topical of course. I too remember clearly watching the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana (as she was then). They have been showing it again this week, and I just looked at him, thinking how hypocritical he was being. Marrying that lovely, young, beautiful bride, knowing all the time that he was going to be carrying on his affair with Camilla, who he was really in love with. This makes me so angry, I'm afraid.
Every wedding gets people hoping that they will get their happy end after all but as you hinted there is probably only one wedding that can do that.
Hi, Beth!
We never grow tired of a wedding, do we? I think you are right to draw the parallel...perhaps our longing for the romance is woven into our hearts because of that Wedding feast we all await.
Such a beautiful post!
Have a wonderful day, my friend!
