A-Z Blogging Challenge~ O

"O" Is:

Oregon

View Of Portland

Oregon is where I reside and call home.
I have lived here for the past 12 years.
As I did when I was a child. It is where I have called home for most of my life. So you might say that this is home, even though I think I should call Washington home as that is where I was born. Though I have really never ever called any place home. As home is where my family is. Being a daughter of a service man we have learned that home is where your heart is with your family. Or at least with me. So wherever my family resides is home to me.
The beauty is like non other.

Columbia River Gorge

The rich beauty of the mountain sides with the views that are so breathe taking, you know they could only have been hand painted by God.
The ocean beaches with the edging of the mountain's in the landscape and the background of the surrounding areas.
The large every green trees that tower to the heavens, as though they were singing His praises!
The lakes, rivers, and streams that are hand cut by God and filled with the best fish for the some of the best fishing in the world.
To live Volcano's to ones filled with water with no depth at the end filled with beauty all around.
The Big divide know as the Columbia River Gorge, where I reside and call home in the beautiful Portland area headed towards Mt. Hood.

Mt. Hood

The camping, hiking, snow skiing, mountain climbing, water falls to see and enjoy to mention a few of the wonderful outdoor adventures one might take.

Larchmont Hiking Trail

The legacy of the men and woman who tamed the land and built cities and towns.
The Indian legend's that I grew up too. The settlers that made this country home here in Oregon.
The Lewis and Clark trail.
To the End of the old Oregon trail.
I cannot tell you how many times I have heard stories and grew up listening to the tales of this country.
Of the laying of the railway track to the making of the highway.
The old Indian legend's and tales of days gone by.
The rodeos and the cowboys with their ropes horses.
The rich farmland and ranching to city life. The choice is yours.
The rich history of the land and of its people.
The museum's and culture of Oregon.
The coffee houses to the tea rooms.
A place to read books and purchase from, the home of the largest book store "Powell's".
Oh how I could go on and on about the landscape and the beauty of Oregon.
The places to go and see so numerous to count.
The places to roam about as you discover new and exciting things as your tour about and learn of the state of Oregon.
A militia culture of people who make up this beautiful landscape in Oregon.
The place I call home.

How would you describe your home?
