Post something every day
I'm excited because this will help with growing my ability to write and challenge me even more. They give topic ideas. Not that I'm lacking for any at the moment I'm not. As I have twenty in my draft and many more swirling around in my head. I'm very excited though, as this opens my mind and thought process to many more things that we are blessed with. There are so many things out there to write about and to learn and just chat upon. Which leads to today topic from WordPress.
Could I live without the Internet?
Well I'd like to answer Yes! A resounding YES! On this one topic question. But...... that will not be the case. As I'd like to say I'd rather have the slower pace without all the things at a minutes reach to me. It seems to me we wouldn't be so stressed out or worried about the next big crisis or event around the world. With the World so connected it is getting smaller everyday with information at a reach of a button. Not that it is bad. But I think it can be very over whelming. Especially if one doesn't know how to limit self in time frames with the Internet. I think the old news reels of days gone by when the information was sometimes weeks and maybe even month or more old. It was easier and a slower pace of life. I think how wonderful that would be. Then I'd think No! As I do love some of the luxuries of today. As the world has evolved into a new world with the speed of lightening. Information is gathered and poured out through the resources of the world net with in minutes of it happening. Nothing seems to be scared at all! Everything your mind can think of; whatever you can dream or imagine is at our finger tips. Everything you do and everyone you know is on the Internet. Business is conducted applications for work re connecting through Social Networks. There is nothing I cannot think of that is not pursued on the Internet for one thing or another.
Information is thrown at us through the Internet. The world seems to revolve around the Internet whenever you go they tell you go to the Internet. Our children are taught at a young age to use the Internet. One cannot even conduct a business without a web page or some connection by networking on the Internet for their business. Business would stop as we know it today if we didn't have access to the Internet.
The days of doing business face to face and by a handshake seem to be of days gone by. I so miss those days of talking face to face and knowing my word and handshake was good enough. That it was a dishonor to your good name if it wasn't. Gone our the days of person to person, eye to eye connect. With paper and pen in hand, pushing through the old fashion process looking and working.
We seem only to be connected through the words of the Internet. It brings people near and far together worlds apart generations and countries. Lifestyles and cultures understanding in ways we had never dreamed before now.
I need it to conduct with business. I use it for so many resources education of learning, staying connected to love ones and friends far and near. News reports and so much more. I didn't even mention the entertainment part as well. It has a vast variety of abilities that one couldn't fill in a life time of writing as it is always seems to be changing and growing and making new lines of connection in the world of cyber space. It seems its veins of line of connection and abilities are as limitless as our dreams and imagine put on it.
Then of course there is always, I have traveled the world on the Internet and meet and went places I would've never gone otherwise. I have meet wonderful people and gone places I would never afford to go. With that in mind I can travel and meet new friends around the world in minutes. At the low cost of the Internet fees I pay monthly.
So a better question for me would be, "would I be able to stay away from the Internet for a time?" I would only hope I could say yes! But again it is a life line to so much I do. This is a sad commentary of my life I guess I am fully addicted. I love the resources and friends and family I'm able to stay connected to as well as all the new friends that I have meet due to the Internet. Or even the old friends that I have re connected with that I thought where lost to me for a life time. So Hello... to this world of cyber space and I guess .... I will say no I cannot live without. If you'd asked me about ten years ago I would've said YES!
Do you think you could live with out the Internet?

I'm afraid (well, no, not really afraid. It's just that I can spend rather too long on it!) that, like you, I am totally addicted to it. For all sorts of things, which we now take for granted. Just press a button on Google and you can get information on almost anything within seconds. Modern technology is truly amazing. Of course, there is the very serious downside of the internet, with the porn that is so readily available, and perverts grooming people on line, but, overall, I think it is a plus in our lives.
To me the internet is one of the most incredible things I've ever encountered. The possibilities are endless when it comes to all it can offer. Could I live without it? Sure. But I'm so glad I don't have to!
