65 Day Journey

Day 39

Today started out as any normal day.
But soon turned into a very hard day.
Which makes this post very hard to write this evening.
But...
I am committed to the journey.
Good or bad!

CK and I headed to her vet appointment that she has standing every three weeks.
She gained back the weight she had lost plus an extra pound.
This was a blessing as far as I was concerned.
The cold here is very hard on her with her old ailing body.
She could hardly walk so I had to lift her.

MOM!
Please!
I'm Much To Old For All This Fuss!

Now my body aches.
Visit went well;
She will be back the day after Christmas for her next visit.

When we got home hubby said he needed me to listen and that he had some very hard news to give me.
I truly had no idea how hard it was going to be.
His best friend from childhood who was his best man in our wedding;
Had lost his youngest daughter on December 1st.
Just in her late twenties.
Beautiful bright shining star gone.
My husband was there when both his daughters where born.
He helped care for them and they spent a great deal of time with us and us with them.
It was like being told we had lost one of our own children.
So needless to say it has been a very tough day.
My daughters will be going to the service on Saturday as we wont be able to fly down.
Which makes it even harder on us; especially my hubby.
He has been torn up all day long.
I'm glad he had today and tomorrow off.
This will give him some time of grieve alone with his loved ones.
If you could please lift the family up in prayers it would be most greatly appreciated it.
Thank - You!

I went out with John today as he did some of his Christmas shopping.
He is so neat to be around.
He put a smile on my face today when I needed it most.
Love friends that can just make you smile because of their presences.
Went back to his house and cleaned, cooked, and wrapped presents for him
Brought laundry back here and got it washed and folded.

It has been so cold here today for me that all I have wanted to do is curl up in a blanket and go to sleep.
I'm sure I could hibernate all Winter long like a bear when it is this cold;
Because all I want to do is sleep.

I'm trying to find a way to bless Amber with a car so she can get back and forth from work.
I don't have much money.
But I'm believing God for a miracle here so I can help her.
I have made some phone calls.

NKJV

Ecclesiastes 3:4

A time to weep, And a time laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance;

Jeremiah 31: 13

"Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old, together; For I will turn their mourning to joy, Will comfort them, And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.'

Devotional Card

Father, may the seeds of suffering or sorrow flower into joy in my life.

Psalm 126: 5

"They that sow in tears shall reap in joy."

How is your Christmas shopping and season going so far? Getting a lot accomplished?

Oh Bethe,
I am so sorry about your hubby's friend what a young age to loose your
life. God needed an angel more than her earthly parents.

sending prayers your way.
Blessings

Oh Bethe, I am so desperately sorry to hear about hubby's friend's daughter. That really is the very worst news that anyone could ever receive, and she was just too young to be taken. I will certainly hold you all in my prayers my friend. John must be so grateful for all the help you give him, and how lovely that, in return, he always makes you smile. Blessings to you.
