365 Days Of Pictures ~Day 61

Drawing the fresh butter milk out of the butter. That was very interesting. What a process they went through to not just make butter but to get butter milk as well.

I don't really care for buttermilk unless I'm baking with it. I love to use butter when I bake and cook, but not on my toast. :o) The old fashioned ways were hard, but they built character and love.

I love this pic, there is nothing like getting butter that way ( I have lived in the country way too long..but wouldn't change for anything..I grew up milking the cow and waiting for that nice cream, and mama crying over about 1/4 cup of cottage cheese and butter after working all day on it. thank you for the wonderful memories
