Finger Print Friday~ Blue Sticky Stuff

Blue sticky stuff. That is what my hair gel is called by this cute young man. He is the child of one of the Adult Foster care homes I go into every week to do hair. He is fascinated by the blue sticky stuff as he calls it. Every week when I come he ask to see the blue sticky stuff. He ask why it doesn't stay blue when I put it in their hair. He wants to touch and feel it.
He is full of curiosity and wants to see everything and know how it works and why.
The curiosity of a child is wonderful!
As he zooms through the house asking so many questions he always seems to stop and ask about the blue sticky stuff, along with the rollers, clips, and hairdryer. So many questions to be answered for this curious five year old.
So on this day I decided to ask his mom if he could touch it and put some on his hands. She said yes!
To my delight we had a bit of play time together.
I told him to rub it in his hair. So he did a little dab at first. Then he dabbed just a bit more on his head. Almost not sure of what to do. So I asked again if I might put some in his hair. Mom said yes!
Yea!
So I grabbed a bit and rubbed into his head. He has a nice full head of hair. So I pulled it up into spikes. It was so cute!
He laughed and giggled so excited! Quite the little poser he was. Running to show mom and dad both. With huge smiles and laughter about the blue sticky stuff and what we did with his hair. I think mom had just as much fun! She giggled and laughed right along.
I asked to take some pictures and the answer was yes!
I will be making copies for her.
It seems  not only the children are fascinated! But everyone who sees the blue sticky stuff. So many things to be so fascinated and curious about in  the salon.
Come and play along and see all the joy of the blue sticky stuff and all the many other surprises you will find in the salon.
I remember when my girls where young and they where always playing with something in the salon.
I have found it has taught them and I both many lessons for life.
(Hmmmm... Sounds like more blog story's to come)
My setting gel seems to not just fascinate this precious five year old but as well as the ladies. I have had them ask me are you sure this wont turn my hair blue?
Or isn't that a lovely blue!
What is that blue stuff?
How long does that blue bucket last?
Only if they knew! I have a much larger one I just refill as I go.
It seems to make all happy when I put it in their hair.
It helps the set to last and makes rolling so much easier.
I must say I think I'm a bit taken myself with the blue sticky stuff.
I know this is an odd finger print. But it made me smile and laugh.
I was a kid at work playing in the blue sticky stuff.
You see I don't see my job as work.
It is a blessing to go to work and love what I do.
I will never work a day in my live as long as I do what I love.
So I will play in the blue sticky stuff that make everyone giggle and smile and ask such questions that bring laughter and joy with beauty.
The blue finger prints of the blue sticky stuff.

Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them? Here's how to join:

1. Blog with your interpretation of God's fingerprints. Be sure to link back here so others can find the entire list of participants.

Aww, he looks so proud and happy to be trying out something "grown up".

I rarely style my hair or use hair products.
