Definition of UMBRELLA

1
: a collapsible shade for protection against weather consisting of fabric stretched over hinged ribs radiating from a central pole; especially : a small one for carrying in the hand
Something that all Oregonians are very familiar with and carry year round.
It seems here in the beautiful PNW the rain never really leaves us. It is always just a whisper away.
If you stand in one spot long enough you could very possibly have all four season's in one day.
Our home and vehicle's have several umbrella's in them.
I could not tell you how many I have.
Actually I should look into investing into an umbrella stand.
I would love to have one.
I think they are very ornate.
As all my umbrella's are tucked in corners and closets, wherever one leaves it.
Even on the patio and front entry hall, next to every door.

It is even symbolized in Pioneer square in downtown Portland.
It is a famous land mark in what they call the living room of Portland.
People travel from around the world and have their picture taken with this bronze gentleman known as the "Umbrella Man".
One of many pieces of unusual art work scattered throughout the Portland area.

I've no idea how many umbrellas we have but they just don't seem enough sometimes.

Don't know! Don't even know where some of them are, and they are never where they should be when I need one! :-)
