Playdate ~ At Poolside In The Fall

For several weeks walking by the poolside;
One could see the loneliness of the landscape surrounding it.
Chairs and tables replaced with the harsh coldness of the season.
Pool cover protecting the pool from the Fall debris and Winter frost.
It was so un-inviting.
As the leaves floated around you started to see a new picture.
The pool had a new color and vibrancy to it.
It had new playmates.
Replaced was the laughter of children and parents;
With its new playmates of the Fall season!
Full of shadows and shades rich in color.
 The Burnt Fall leafs floating and dancing in the pool.
Where water had laid to rest in the center;
As the leafs came to float upon the resting waters of the pool in the sunlight morning and afternoon.
 The elegance of the pool was once again coming alive from the depth of the cold.
She had a new beauty surrounding her.
She had been taken by surprise by the leafs of many colors.
Bringing life back to the pool.
The beauty so rich in the burnt colors of Fall;
That you had to stop and take a look at the party going on in inside the pool arena.
With fence and gate locked for the season.
Keeping you at bay with its lock-out of "No Trespassing."
There was no hope of breaking in and sitting by the poolside;
 Taking in the rich beauty and the playful banter taking place in center stage of the pool.
 As the leafs floated to the rustling wind
 With the shadows and shades dancing about the granite poolside.
Longing to just take it all in.
I stood by the fence with the cool wind blowing through my sweater.
Dreaming of the days that were ahead of me.
The Thanksgiving celebration with loved ones.
The anticipation of Christmas with all of its Glory!
With Fall coming to a close soon;
 The rich colors of the season would be replaced with the twinkling lights of the Christmas season.
Dreaming of the days when I could be laying poolside once again;
In the sunshine of the Summer afternoons.

As I write this I think  isn't it wonderful how the Lord paints each season of the year.
Just as He hand paints each season of our life's.
We are His Master piece.
He loves us so much that He doesn't want us to stay the same.
Just like children growing and learning.
He molds each season of our life's.
Puts us through the furnace and
He refines us and polishes us.
Taking the rough spots and making them smooth.
Just like a piece of fine china.
We are His center piece.
He wants us to  come sit;
Resting in His light.
 As He takes us in His arms of love;
Knowing that He will care for us.
He has a celebration prepared.
Full of jubilee!
In every season of our life;
As it unfolds each new season of growth
And beauty that comes forth through
The seasons of life!
Rich in beauty ready for a party.

NKJV

Genesis 1: 14-15

Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;
"and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so.

Isaiah 48:10

Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.
