This is one of my favorite reads and wanted to share it with you. I'm sure most have already seen or read this one before. But it is one I feel worth sharing over and over again. I actually have had this sitting in my drafts for some time. I have had so much fun with challenges and writing other things that I hadn't bothered to post this. I decided to do a bit of cleaning up in my draft holder and ran across this. Decided that this one I would post while I was traveling. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do. I know it truly is an encouragement to me.
Lessons From Geese

Fact 1: As each goose flaps its wings, it creates an up-lift for the birds that follow. By flying in a “V” formation, the whole flock adds 71 percent greater flying range than if each bird flew alone.
Lesson 1: People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier because they are traveling on the thrust of one another.
———————————
Fact 2: When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.
Lesson 2: If we have as much sense as a goose, we stay in formation with those headed where we want to go. We are willing to accept their help and give our help to others.
———————————
Fact 3: When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies to the point position.
Lesson 3: It pays to take turns doing the hard tasks and sharing leadership. As with geese, people are interdependent on each others’ skills, capabilities and unique arrangements of gifts, talent or resources.
———————————
Fact 4: The geese flying in formation honking encourage those up front to keep up their speed.
Lesson 4: We need to make sure our honking is encouraging. In groups where there is encouragement, the production is much greater. The power of encouragement (to stand by one’s heart or core values and encourage the heart and core of others) is the quality of honking we seek.
———————————
Fact 5: When a goose gets sick, wounded or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to help and protect it. They stay with it until it dies or is able to fly again. Then they launch out with another formation or catch up with the flock.
Lesson 5: If we have as much sense as geese, we will stand by each other in difficult times as well as when we are strong.

Great lesson for us all!!
I agree with Susan in SC - we should all follow the geese's example! I hadn't heard of this one before, so thank you for sharing.
I've never heard this before but it makes good sense.
Regarding your blog page, I noticed it was loading slow and when it was finished it jumped to the middle of your page where your calendar is. I was having a similar problem on my page and couldn't figure out why page load had slowed down and jumped to the bottom of my page where my calendar was. I did some research and discovered that the problem is with the calendar. I don't know why now since I've had that calendar on my page for a very long time now, but apparently it causes a glitch that you may want to fix. I figured I didn't really need my calendar for any real purpose so I got rid of it. Now my page loads very nicely and stays at the top of the page when it's done.
Thought you might be interested in case you were wondering.
