Day 23 - A picture of your favorite book.

Day 23 - A picture of your favorite book.

I love books! I love to read!
I so wish I had a library of my own. I love almost any kind of book. I love history, true crime, biography's,  children's books, love story's, Christian fiction, self help, a good murder mystery, Business books. Just about anything that is well written.
I have loved all kinds of books since I was very young. I remember taking a flashlight to bed with me to read under the bed covers so I wouldn't be caught. But I usually was. I love the smell and feel of the book. I don't think there is anything better.
So I picked three books. I picked the Harriet Tubman story as it covers history and it was actually one of my very favorite as a child to read in the scholastic series. I picked the bible. I actually picked the "Celebrate Recovery Bible" one as I read this one allot to my girlfriend Ms. R. all the time. Her and I so enjoy reading aloud. and we usually pick this version.
Then of course the all time favorite would be non other than "Gone With the Wind", I cannot imagine any good library without it. It just wouldn't be complete without it. I have read this one several times.
I was sharing actually not long ago how it is different then the movie. They where shocked to hear that Scarlett actually had other children. So funny to me. The book is so much better than the movie. More meat in it. But I think that is the way with all books that are turned into movies.
Yet the movie is still up there in the top five for me as well. So don't figure.
But I just couldn't pick one. I have so many favorites books. It really just depends on where I am at and what I want to read.
My favorite Christian writer is Karen Kingsbury. I usually have more the two books going at a time. Right now I have five books I'm working. Then of course the bible.
"More Jesus Less Religion" Stephen Arterburn; "Every Now & Then" Karen Kingsbury; "More Than Makeup" Pat Fortenberry; "Joseph" Charles Swindoll; "The Innocent Man" John Grisham. And then of course we have the bible that is on going reading. Which would make six books. I also throw in a devotional. But I didn't get one this year.

Do you enjoy reading?
