Playdate ~ In A Salon

What can one say about these lovely ladies that light up my life and make me feel like a million. Here I thought I was the one who was suppose to make them feel like a million. But over and over again God shines out. And someway through each one I feel like a million for just having them in my life.
Everyday I go into the shop never knowing what the schedule will truly be like. As you see He changes that schedule from time to time. He may have chosen to call them home or they may not be feeling up to coming in for a visit. Then there is always the chance of it boiling over with new clients. As this seems to happen allot over at "God's Waiting Room" loving dubbed my hubby. Or it could be a day where I just visit with two or three. I have even just went in for one as well.
God is faithful!
Each time they come they leave with such a smile. They may come in a bit under the weather or just not sure where they are. But when they leave they have a new kick in their stride and a smile on their face. They may even do a jig or two right out the door. Their head is a little taller and the laughter they leave with is a song in my heart and a dance in my step.
My play date with God, is the happiness and joy of the love they bring into my shop each time they pop their heads in just to say hello!

Miss Sybil

Miss Joan

They Always say to me they don't know what they would do without me!
Miss Sybil always says the luxury of indulgence is a small price to pay for such a grand time. She threatens me with her cane if I don't behave. Guess I better be good!
Miss Joan well... lets just say she surely brings a bit of life with her feisty self into the room. She ran a electric store and ranch in the mid west. Don't always get allot of straight answers so it is a puzzle and mystery to me. As I put it together the best I can. What a Hoot!
Miss Dorothy the quiet lady who is always ready for a good laugh. She is fights to stay well and out of the hospital. See told me once after a long visit away. That she couldn't wait to see me again. She said the gal cut her hair to short and wasn't letting anyone mess with her hair again but me. What a compliment!
Aren't they just lovely?
Miss Dorothy

Each one of these ladies along with so many others who leave their finger prints of God on my life every time I see them. What a beautiful play date with each one it is too. Each with a life time of beauty and stories to share.
Thank you that I have the privilege and honor to be the one they share their stories with as I tend to their beauty needs.
Thank you Lord for each one of these beauties.

My parents just moved into a transitional living facility a few months ago. I spend a lot of time caring for them. My father has dementia and my mother is very weak physically. It is a blessing to serve them and help them in any way I can! ~ I love old people!

It's a wonderful thing for older folks to receive quality assistance from those who really care. So far no one in my immediate family needs to have ongoing care, but if the situation arises I hope they would be well cared for.

So happy to have you as a part of the A to Z Challenge. I hope you enjoy your experience in April.

Old people still have such a lot to offer, if only we would stop and listen to them. Think of the stories they could tell.

Oh, Beth, what a blessing you must be to these sweethearts. And how blessed they are to have your hands to pamper them. This is truly a God-date--play group! Thank you for sharing such sweetness :).

Too many people tend to want to write us old folks out of their lives much too soon. I love hearing their stories. I think you are blessing them while they are blessing you. They know what life is all about and have lived it. I prefer going to beauty shop that still rolls your hair. My hair holds up better if it is rolled. You do not find many shops that still do that. They all want to blow dry.
